Java II is a little café in The Valley Library. It’s located on the first floor but the easiest way to access it is from the main entrance of the library(which is technically the second floor). It’s a decent place to study — its quiet early and later in the day, but from about mid-morning through the afternoon, it can be pretty noisy with all the people that come to sit/hang out. Most coffees I’ve had here have been pretty good. Out of all those there was only one that was a disappointment — it was a flavored latte but it didn’t taste like it had any of the flavor. Overall though, they are one of the better coffee shops on campus. Besides coffee they also have some tasty baked goods, sandwiches and soup; though I haven’t tried the latter two. Prices are a little steeper than I would like, but when you compare it to what you get for your money at say, Starbucks, I’d say it’s worth it for the quality.
