Just home from a great meal at Gravina. Although a lot of their business is take-out, we had a comfortable corner table, and brought along a nice bottle of wine to enjoy with our meal. The four of us started with appetizers of Bresaola with shaved cheese and arugala, plus flash-fried squash with cheese and marinera sauce. Then we enjoyed a delicious fresh salad with greens, white beans, gorgonzola cheese and more(with a fresh and light dressing) and finished our meal with a sampling of the deliciously light and flavorful pizzas. Would recommend and will return.

Their pizza is a whole new experience in «pizza». As advertised on their menu, it’s superior flour and a different water/flour mixture render the pizza light and crusty. No greasy mess. The sauce and all toppings are top shelf and fresh. I had four squares and was not stuffed or bloated like most pizza. The store is clean and the owner extremely friendly and proud of the heritage and story of Roman style pizza. There’s a place/time for the typical greasy pizza/slice, but this is like a Ferrari vs a Volkswagen! My new favorite Pizza place.

This is not your average all American pizza joint. Nunzio has studied flour in Italy like anyone going to the CIA. His dough is so light because it absorbs much more water that traditional American pizza crust. My husband and I always think we order too much but finish it without feeling stuffed. And the scale agrees the next morning. If you want pizza but not that doughy feeling and the few extra lbs then this is the place. We’ve been to Rome many times and this is the real deal. Maria’s salads are the best! These people really care about their craft.

Home alone, i went to Gravina to get a slice of pizza. What a great experience. The Italian owner was there and told me about his square pizza’s. Honest produce, with great flavor, and a great addition to the food scene in Greenwich. It requires courage to start a business as a small entrepreneur in our high demanding neighborhood. Will definitely return!

Delicious! My husband and I stopped in for a slice and ended up having a few slices of pizza and a mushroom, fontina and truffle oil panzerotti. The pizza is wonderful, fresh and quality ingredients. Priced by the lb allows you to try a few types without over eating. We look forward to trying the sandwiches and salads. Update: We stopped in for some panini’s to go. They are as fresh and delicious and the rest of the offerings here!

I wanted to try this place because of the concept authentic Italian selling pizza by the pound. Wanted to find out how come they adopted it. Good enough to I found out they are Italians from Bari, what’s nice place and brought their amazing dough and flavors in Greenwich. With Ciabatta panini with flavors that represents few cities of Italy, you can close your eyes and enjoy the amazing taste of what I believe is unbelievable! I was so happy that we’re selling whole wheat and Gluten free pizza. Suplì, arancini, panzerotti, salads, you name it… they have it! This place is so nice and welcoming, good for families, friend gathering and great also as a take out when coming back from work. My favorite cozy pizza place! Mamma Mia!!!

Gravina is a wonderful little pizzeria! It has a great atmosphere, a wide selection of pizzas from which to choose including gluten free, and an extremely friendly staff. It is different from other pizzerias in that they sell their pizzas by the pound, ensuring you get the exact slice size you want, and they use scissors to cut their slices. I will definitely be returning to Gravina!

Like going to Italy… We stopped in at 830PM last night and we were welcomed like family by Nunzeo. We asked if we could bring a bottle of wine and he said” of course” and went to get us glasses. Everything is made from all natural ingredients, this pizza almost seems healthy… and it tastes good too! Very light, airy and crispy, like no other pizza we have ever eaten. The Pizza, fresh salads(make your own salad) and Panzerotti’s are all excellent. We wanted a little of everything, which we actually did. We had a small piece of almost each pizza between the three of us. Good concept, what a great way to try out everything and pick out your favs. The panzerotti’s where so light and scrumptious. we had never tried them before. A MUSTGOTO !!! Try it you will be pleasantly surprised.

I ate a delicious slice of pizza here the other day! I love that it is priced by the lb, so you can try multiple small slices of pizza and not get an entire huge slice of each! Very authentic Italian style. The owner was very sweet and accommodating, and they even offered me a free sample of a different type of pizza while I was waiting. Will definitely be back!

I am very disappointed. Not only was the pizza measured in lbs, but I got salami pizza when I was told it was sausage. They cut with scissors and I had no idea how much my pizza would cost. I had to ask how much each slice would be! My pizza was so mediocre that I went to Acuris after!

Terrible model. Place charges by the pound and is completely dysfunctional. An employee ran me down when I left, accusing me of not paying when I had. And didn’t believe me when I told him I had. Then proceeded to tell me to get out of my car until the manager came out and confirmed that I paid. Wish I hadn’t left a tip. Definetly never going back for their poor service and mediocre pizza. Their selection was also pretty weak.

This cozy little lunch spot is as friendly and authentic as can be. We love discovering their new Italian treats. Their pizzas, sandwiches and other items are each just a little taste of heaven and the prices are very reasonable. I haven’t tried their salads yet, but the create your own salad menu looks just as good as if not better than The Kneaded Bread of Portchester, and that’s saying a lot.
