This place is not a bar, not a restaurant, not a karaōke place yet it is all of the above. The clientele is made up of all those guys looking to drink with the girls working there. gross

Yo… the Happy Hour Food. They have this soju/oolong tea drink, its cheap, and it creeps. They also have draft beers and a few other drinks on special. The appetizers are ONHIT. The fried shrimp, the deep fried oysters, the chicken gizzard with mushrooms and garlic, the chicken wings, all are awesome. M favorite is the shrimp for sure. Eat it head/shell and all. Prices are on high side(except happy hour) but the company is great. Owner is hilarious, and one of the most generous guys too. Very understanding of his clientele… Will definitely come here often.

Where do I start? Love this place, the girls, etc, etc… There was one girl I would’ve stayed and talked to all night but she just wanted my wallet! Oh well. I guess it is a bu$ine$$ But I did have a great time from what I can remember… Good thing I live within walking distance! Hahaha! I say go for it, life’s to short.

Expensive as hell but worth every penny. I was taken to this place by my old japanese rooommates few years ago. Didn’t know what to expect at first. Thought it was a strip club because of the blackend out windows and baby doll looking japanese girl coming in and out. But its really a prettty neat hostess bar with good service. Monday is by far the best nights to go if you plan on sitting with the girl as its usually is $ 80 to sit and drink unlimited alcohol of your choice. But if you bring cash its $ 50 an hour. Which I would say is worth it between you, your friends and the girls drinking.

Drunkenly stumbled in here after dinner. Its dark and tucked away behind limo tinted windows. It was really nice inside, good décor and selection of Japanese drinks. We wanted to find a karaōke place to drunkenly sing, but this did not cut it. THere was karaōke, but it was odd trying to sing amongst 60 y/o japanese businessmen trying to get their groove on with some 20 y/o geisha. Yeah, these guys pay like 80 bucks an hour to conversate with this girls. Its called a japanese Hostess bar. odd. Yeah, better places to go to have drinks than here.

A group of my friends decided to come visit a friend and we wanted to check out the place. I’ve been living in Costa Mesa for quite some time, have eaten at the Wahoo’s on the corner and have passed it numerous times on my way home from work. To be honest, I have NEVER even heard of it’s existence until my friend told me about it. It’s a Japanese hostess bar. The windows are blacked out and it’s tucked back in the corner of the plaza where Wahoo’s is. To my surprise, it was really nice inside. Really dark and intimate, but the workers there are super friendly. We just sat at the bar since we didn’t find it necessary to throw out that much cash to talk to our friend. haha. All drinks here were $ 7 each, including shots. They also give you snacks to munch on while you drink and talk. My first drink was just pineapple and rum. It was really weak and not worth the $ 7. We decided to just take shots and drink of choice for the night: PATRON. Five shots later and paying more than I expected to, I was drunk and happy. :) It’s not quite the place I would go on a weekly basis, but it’s an option to go with friends and just hang at the bar.

Random, unexpected, must bring friends. There is some kinda Karaōke happenings behind the partition, but I’ve never tried for it. I’ve only found myself at the main bar not really knowing what I was saying or doing there, but there was finger snacks involved and a lot of black label and coke happily prepared by my japanese bartender. A must place for anyone to stumble into late into the night after costa mesa has spit you out high and dry, and kitsch and memphis already had some of you earlier that night.

Went here with a couple buddies. I was already a bit inebriated so it didn’t take much persuasion to get me through the doors. I’m not going to lie, this place is a Japanese hostess bar. You pay hourly($ 80), for all you can drink(not top shelf) bourbon, whiskey and beer and every 30 minutes a different girl comes by your seat and chats you up. It’s not what you think, this place isn’t some sort of brothel, or at least I didn’t see any scandalous behavior. Basically it’s a place where usually Japanese business men go to take clients, talk business and have some female company. Nothing really shady going on here, but I’m sure if you had a girlfriend or are married and she found out you went here, she’d be none too pleased. But in all honesty, a strip bar is much worse, IMHO. Since I was already smashed before I even got here, the AYCD took me overboard. We sang some songs(Karaōke bar), drank, and had a good time. By the time I’d gotten home, I was $ 150 poorer and had a mean headache. Would I go here again? If I was drunk enough, possibly. Would I recommend you to go? If you’re single, maybe. It was an interesting experience. Just to clear a few things up, your group does not get it’s own room. You share floor space with all the bar patrons and employees. If anything scandalous was going down, it was not in view of everyone else. 4 people. 2 Hours Too many beers to count 1 Bottle of Jack Daniels Total Price = $ 600

Bristol Restaurant & Bar is a bar rather than a restaurant. You can enjoy karaōke there. They have various hard liquor and sakes from Japan. Pretty pricy but if you sit on the bar, you can enjoy the drinks cheaper than sitting on the hall because they charge for the table.
