As a hairstylist myself I’m probably not the easiest client to please. Jimmy absolutely kills it every time he cuts my hair, I have followed him from his last salon to this place and I couldn’t be happier. He is impressively technically gifted and a master of his craft. Jimmy is the best, great guy too.

Ask for Kat if you want beautiful hair color. She is soo good with blondes and balayage/​root shades. She takes her time and make sure her clients are happy. She listens to what you want and does it perfectly! I wouldn’t go to anyone else but her!!!

KAT IS THE BEST!!! I had not dyed my hair in a little over 5 years, therefore my expectations were a bit high. She did a balayage, and it looks beautiful. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it. She is very friendly and knows what she’s doing. Definitely recommend her :)

Ask for Kat if you’re getting your hair colored! Kat Martin is the best at what she does. She is a balayage and ombré expert. She is super sweet and will do exactly what you want! She took me from my natural dark brown hair to a platinum blonde, to an ombré blonde and back to dark again. I’ve gone to her for every color! Thanks Kat!!!

I’ve been getting my hair colored by Kat for years since she was at Toni and Guy in LA. I’m very particular about my color and I completely trust that my hair is safe in Kats hands. She is truly an expert colorist and takes her time to understand and recommend what is best for your hair. I absolutely love her professionalism and would highly recommend going to her!

This place has struck out in my book. I have been to the place three times and still haven’t had my hair cut. The first two times I tried walking in and try my luck. Both times around seven. When I walked I there wasn’t any body waiting and they said they were closing at seven tonight. The website said they were open until nine. Decided to try for a third time and make an appointment this time. I showed up for the appointment and the guy greats me by saying we aren’t doing walk-​ins. I told him I made an appointment and he asked me to go talk to his boss to make sure that I was correct. I went inside to talk to the boss and he said it has been on the books and that the barber should know about it. I went back to the barber side and sat down. The barber said so your my next appointment? I said yeah. He told me that the lab was a mall and that I could go walk around and come back because he had some time with the guy before me. I told him I would just wait. I waited for thirty five minutes until the guy was done. He then said he was behind today and needed a cigarette. I said okay. He proceeded to take another 15 minutes to smoke his cigarette. By this time is was after five and had dinner plans. I had no choice, but to leave after that. The barber didn’t seem to have much respect for the establishment. Many and experiences here.

Came in from out of town and was in dire need of a cut. Came into Crew Salon on the recommendation of a family member’s friend for Shelby.
Shelby is great, I showed him a frontal picture of what my hair used to look like and he asked many questions of what I would like. Skilled man, my hair came out exactly as it had before it grew out.
I definitely recommend going to him for your hair needs.

Ask for Greg the barber. He makes it a point to ask a lot of questions about what exactly it is you want and is even willing to teach you a thing or two about styling your hair. I used to go to Hawleywoods which I found the barbers there to be pretentious. I’m much happier with my haircuts from Greg and the whole atmosphere. Parking can be difficult to find but you can always park across the street at the Camp’s complimentary valet. They take walk ins so you don’t have to have an appointment. The barbershop is great vibes and they usually have a cool movie playing and/​or good music.

Joel is awesome, but you also can’t go wrong with anyone else here. It’s great to have legitimately interesting conversation with people here. It’s not awkward, surface conversation. Everyone is friendly every time, including receptionists.

My experience was pretty bad up until I actually got the haircut, which was pretty good.
We called to make two appointments at the same time, and we were told we’d both have appointments at the same time. When we arrived, there was no one to be seen. We had to go next door to the barbershop, and he had to track the woman down. When we finally found her, she handed us robes and told us to sit down. We didn’t see anyone else in the salon, so we didn’t even know If the stylist was there. After 15 minutes, we were finally introduced to the stylist (the one stylist for two people…). Oh, and the music they play in there is… awful.
What should’ve have been a one hour or less appointment ended up taking two hours (not the stylists fault)
Bic was wonderful and she gave us both great cuts. And she was fun to chat with also. If it weren’t for the haircut, this would’ve been a 1 star review and I’d never go back (I’m still not sure if I’ll go back…)
Customer service, professionalism and atmosphere let this place down. Had hoped for so much more.

Mimi & Taylor forever! I love how detailed they are with their work. Taylor does my color and Mimi cut my hairs. I had over processed hair and choppy layers. Taylor was able to tone down my hair color and over all make it not look like shit! Mimi gave me the cutest short/​mod Bob to help me even out my choppy yucky layers. I am obsessed with the length!!! Also go during the week. It’s easier to find parking. Can’t wait for my next appointment!

Shelby has been cutting my hair for about 6 years and counting. For as many haircuts as I can remember, he has been consistent with his attention to detail and the time he spends with each client. He’s great at what he does and can work with any style.

David File. You go to David File. After moving to CA from New York two years ago (and leaving my hairstylist of 6 years), I was on the hunt for someone new to trust my head with. After some unfortunate encounters, I finally found David.
I have wavy medium-​length hair that I am in the process of growing out. I’ve been to David for two cuts now, and the second was even better than the first. He really understands how to shape my hair so it looks a little wild but also just so freaking good. Also, Im terrible at articulating what I want, and somehow he still nails it!
He also colored my hair FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE. I was super nervous and had no idea what to ask for other than «dark please.» He took over and worked his magic and then all of a sudden my hair was an awesome, rich dark brown (with some blue and red mixed in) that made my face and eyes look way better than before.
Basically, David will make you look pretty and cool, and he can do it even when you have no idea what you want. You go to David.

My boyfriend gets his hair done by Shelby who is a master at men’s cuts and apparently gives the best massages ever. I wish he also did women’s cuts. We have also been seen by Krystal who is fantastic. I get my hair cut by Mimi and she is super nice.

I needed help fast, had been through a rough couple of months. My hair told the story, the kind people don’t want publicized. Kind of like, Look who’s having a few challenges ~…~ The evidence was clear. Some people call it slammed. I prefer to say «challenged». And victorious. Today I entered into, MORE victorious with Crew Colorist, Taylor, and Stylist, Mimi.
I took a risk trying a new colorist — so some people thought — but no! I have the best colorist — my dark ash blonde hair is non-​brassy /​a beautiful natural looking blonde. My Dad commented how amazingly natural my hair looks. Thank you ladies!

Just went to cut my hair there and the guy who cut it couldn’t even do a simple fade. I don’t know what the hell he did. Now I have to go get it repaired somewhere else. Pretty disappointed. I

Not the greatest place ever. I love the personality of this place but if they took time to listen more to the style I wanted as opposed to what they wanted to do I would have actually like the place. When I tried to tell the guy that it’s not how I wanted my hairstyle ala his way… he told me it’s the only way to cut… It’s not. I’ve been to barbers before and after and they each cut it the way that I prefer… I don’t want a combover, I don’t want the pompadour
If you can, go to gods and heroes that place is legitimately better… If you want a cookie cutter haircut this is the place to go… But My advice, spare you wallet and your hair.

Five Stars for Roland the barber, he did my bangs and I love them!!! He didn’t rush and took his time to make the perfect happy face bangs… The salon is pretty cool too it’s inside the Lab!

The guy I always go to had his Orange County location closed-​down.
Time to hop on Unilocal.
Called on Sunday, got a same day appointment, the hair-​do came out fresh n’ spiffy.
I wanted that classic side part, not a new-​skool close-​to-​the-​skin high-​fade one, just something elegant with a straight neck and gradual fade.
It seems easy, but the classics can be hard to pull off right, especially on a dented, cow-​licked, thick-​maned head like mine.
And Joel pulled it off. Bravo, Joel.
He washed my hair, massaged the scalp, buzzed, cut — all that stuff, being cool the whole time, chatting me up in a genuine manner at some points, getting all into his work and being super-​concentrated at other times.
Did me up with a straight-​razor, real clean-​like, felt like lil’ massage.
Hot towel on the face like a mini-​sauna.
Buzzer-​over-​comb on the eyebrows.
What more could you ask for from a human?!
Definitely comin’ back to Joel in 3 – 4 weeks!
