Our waitress was the sweetest, no wait, good food. All we expected and we will go there again.

Came in for lunch and all the booths were taken so we said we would wait. 25 minutes and 3 people were already taken before us. I looked to see if the hosted had changed nope still same girl. I waited for her to notice us again she ignored us. So we agreed to leave and she smiled when we walked out the door. Waste of time. Extremely rude.

Our server Patricia was awesome. I’m not a big fan of Denny’s — but every once in a while we have a big group of friends that do breakfast. We choose this Denny’s because it is close the everyone who lives in the surrounding areas and is close to the freeway. Patricia was keep me, quick and willing to take care of whatever we needed. Most of the time she brought it without us even having to ask. She was great. The 5 stars here are for the service we got. Food was the better of the Denny’s I’ve eaten at. So kudos to the chefs too.

I have to give one star to raye :-(the waitress cared more about the other 2 tables and I had to walk up for more coffee then the food came out hmmm, the waffle tasted like cardboard and when I said something the waitress argued with me and said they are the best here. Guess she likes bland foods. This place should be shut down

This review is slightly biased, so beware. Being a military veteran, I came in on Veteran’s Day because I heard Denny’s was having a special for veterans. While I’m not one to mooch off my veteran status, I figured«Hey, why not let a company express their appreciation just once.» So that’s what I did. I’m not sure if it was because of my veteran status, because I had a lucky experience, or if it was truly because this place is a quality diner, but I had a really great breakfast here! 1) I appreciate Denny’s for supporting America’s veterans. It’s an honor to have Denny’s as an American tradition, and an honor to be worthy of your consideration and appreciation. 2) The food was well-prepared and tasty! 3) The waiter was kind and efficient at his job, even if he was a bit overwhelmed that busy Wednesday morning. Overall, I can say I’ll likely return again. If my experience changes, then I’ll change the review. But I have to say that the one time I have been there was very good.

From the waitress to the manager this was by far the worst experience. We waited 25 min to be seated, no problem there busy. You go to Denny’s with low expectations but then it gets worse. Placed our order, food and drink at the same time drinks 10 min later, 2 refills cause our food still hasn’t come, 45 min can you check on our food, 50 min still nothing, 1 hour and 10 min from time food was ordered our food comes out and is COLD. None of the cheese is melted and we have rotten avocado on one of the omelets. Ok this is gross. Talk to the manager and she is sorry there’s nothing I can do. I don’t want you to do anything except take responsibility for your restaurant and apologize to me. We pay our bill and still tip cause waitresses have a hard job. But never again. We are all feeling very nauseous.

It went horrible today. I ordered the veggie burger and they ran out, they suggested I get the beef burger instead –_-. They didn’t tell me until my sisters food was already done. Some time went by and they brought out her food, her Fries and ham were extremely cold by the time they came out. We then had to wait for my order to be ready. Took about another 12 mins. Both the fries and my skillet had no salt, and my skillet lacked seasoning. I ordered water with two different servers and they forgot to bring it out as well. Overall I had a horrible experience.

Came in at about 11pm, it was SUPER slow. Took about twenty minutes to even seat us… the food took about an hour and 15 minutes. We came in for our friends 21st birthday and told the server it was his birthday and he dismissed us and didn’t care. someone got chicken strips and they we UNDERcooked — almost raw. Our whole meal should have been comped to be honest. So glad I don’t live here so I will never have to return, disgusting! I would give no stars if I could

Sevice sucks I walked in to be seated instead I get a weird look like what am I doing here. I guess they’re trying to figure out who’s gonna serve me. I ordered the fantastic four cheese omelette I usually trade off the toast for more hash brown the skinny little server with a pampadore said he couldn’t substitute it. I have ordered this at several Denny’s this the first time I’ve gotten rejected.. I don’t eat toast this is why I wanted the trade off. I would not recommended this Denny’s to anyone if you get served by the skinny guy with a pampadore his attitude matches his service which sucks. So I asked a lady server she accommodated my order fine. little skinny man with a pampadore hair style server’s attitude sucks and denied what I asked for. I hope they talked to him about his attitude..

I see that there have been some reviews about bad service; obviously I can’t speak for other people’s experiences, but I have never had bad service at this Denny’s. We have been coming here for about 5 years, 2 – 3 times a year in the early morning, and the service has always been 5-star worthy. FOOD: Everyone should know that Denny’s serves typical diner fare; nothing particularly special, but this location’s food is good for what it is. We have never had a problem with speed, wrong orders, or any sort of complaint about the food taste or preparation. SERVICE: We have always had friendly, attentive servers. Armando in particular took very good care of us today(7−10−15). All the staff we have met seem to be experienced servers – well organized and always smiling, even with a busy restaurant. Lastly, we always notice other guests who are clearly regular customers. If the service was truly terrible on a consistent basis, would the Rattray have so many returning and regular customers? I doubt it. Set your expectations in advance – in other words, don’t expect anything fancy and come in with a positive attitude – and I an confident you will enjoy your breakfast/meal as much as we have.

Worst service out of any Denny’s we’ve been to. Stay away!!! The workers could not care less. They suck! They have no common courtesy for the customers. We arrived here 30 minutes ago. The waitress with the short blond hair didn’t care. We asked her if there was any cheese or dairy in the children’s spaghetti because our son has allergies and she said, «No, only meat sauce.» The description on the kids menu says that the spaghetti comes with a marinara sauce(no meat). Umm? She brought out our drinks but 30 minutes into waiting my coffee was cold and no sign of food. The waitress glanced over a few times at us and would not make eye contact and never came by to check on us even once. She never brought out our booster seat we had asked for when we ordered. No assurance that our food was coming. Nothing. Another male server came up to us after we had been waiting 30 minutes and asked, «Do you guys need more time or are you ready to order?» WTF?! I said, «No, we ordered a looong time ago!» He said«Oh…» and moved on to take the next table’s orders. No apology, no assurance our food was coming. My husband got up to tell the man who seated us(the host) that we were still waiting for our food. The host said, «We’re running behind. Let me check…» Again, no apology or assurance that our food was coming. He never came to our table to let us know the status of our order. Were they making it? Had they even started making it? All we ordered was a Philly Cheesesteak Omelette, a kid-sized spaghetti and a Build-Your-Own Grand Slam. It’s not like we had a large party. 30 minutes is way too long to be ignored. We finally walked out and left(then got our food from another restaurant that had our order ready within 5 minutes). By that time my kids were very restless and hungry. So upsetting and annoying to be waited on by incompetent staff. I don’t care how understaffed they are. At least they could show some common courtesy to their patrons who are putting money into their paychecks. At least make an effort. Our experience was bad enough to never go back. Way to make a first impression Denny’s. Grade: F Oh, and I forgot to mention that the restaurant was only half full. Many of the tables were empty where we were sitting. We’ve been to other Denny’s restaurants that were packed and still got much better service than this place. Get it together Denny’s Costa Mesa!

I signed up for dennys rewards and they email coupons. Well like I’m in the 80’s they REQUIRE you to print them. An 8×10 sheet of paper and 4.00 in ink doesn’t sound like a very good deal for $ 5.00 off a $ 20.00 check. I will be deleting Denny’s from email. What’s the point in going paperless and saving trees if I’m required to waste paper for a tiny little coupon. Denny’s in general will not get away with this crap. I will be writing to corporate as well.

4STARSFORTAKE-OUTOPTION… I’ve eaten here and it’s not great… maybe ‘okay’. But for the option to call in an order 24hrs a day for anything off the menu and then pick it up 10 minutes later, I give it 4STARS. Also, fun fact: Denny’s makes its pancake batter with eggs while iHOP does not. That’s the fluffy wonderful difference. For all those expecting classy or attentive service — c’mon now, it’s Dennys. You do get what you pay for and you’d get the same from some truck stop or diner open 24⁄7 out in the boonies.

Nope. Never Again. First of all I need to go home and shower immediately. Everything I touched at the table was greasy and sticky. Booth seats had eggs on them and other gooey substance. Booth wall had greasy hand prints smeared around. Then I got my food, wasn’t great but wasn’t terrible. Paper thin bacon that tasted microwaved. Ordered an iced coffee with«free refills» then was told it was $ 1 more for refills since it was caramel. Had to dispute the 2 charges for iced coffee on my bill. If you have no other option eat here.

This is one of my more popular Denny’s because of its accessibility off o the 405 freeway. So if your haulin ass through the OC and need a quick stop off this is a key place . Service is on par with most of the other Denny’s, and the food is at or above par. We like to have early morning breakfast, before work, here and haven’t ever had bad service or lousy food. I usually have steak and eggs and at this location have never been disappointed . So ultimately off your headed to Huntington, or Disneyland or just passing through driving ‘drunk’ stop off and grab some grub. Easy off and on at Harbor Blvd and the 405 !!!

Denny’s is convenient and open late as well as 24⁄7 at some locations. It’s a great place to stop by with some friends after a late night movie, concert, or night out on the town. It’s a decent place for breakfast too. This particular location is located off the 405 Freeway and Harbor. There is a private parking lot with ample parking. They serve breakfast all day as with any other Denny’s. This is not top notch food, but the 3 stars are well deserved!

Here at Dennys for a late meal with my boyfriend. this is the worst Dennys ever. Waitress provided dirty coffee cup to my better half. then it took extra time to get it replaced. Food looks ok. taste will tell. sandwich is fair.(the New Club Sandwich) would not order it again, lacking in flavor the resteraunt is loud, do not come here if you want a quiet meal. they have only refilled the coffee once. sad state of affairs. ther are not that many choices for late night food.

Had a late night dinner here this past Sunday… I had forgotten it was Easter and was wondering why everything was closed. So the only places that were opened was either this place, Carrows or IHop but my boyfriend preferred Denny’s … I actually do too when I crave for grits — they have pretty good breakfast grits I must say. But that’s not what I had this time around. I had their Avocado Chicken Caesar with a cup of broccoli cheese soup and my boyfriend had their Philly Cheesesteak Omelette. The food was good and the service was good too. I’m usually pretty satisfied with the meals I have had here and usually I come pretty late so there’s no wait and it wasn’t busy tonight either. Overall good place for a heavy any-time of the day meal — because most of their food choices are pretty heavy and greasy.
