Queenie was amazing! She was so attentive and understanding. She made the entire process a breeze, from choosing the perfect dress to being there on my big day to make sure everything turned out right, I couldn’t have asked for anything more!
She was there to answer any questions that I had and she was super polite and incredibly professional. If you get the chance to check out her studio, you HAVE to go! It’s beautiful and elegant, yet cozy and chic all at the same time! I’d expect nothing less from someone with such awesome style.

Lumiere bridal collection has the most amazing bridal dresses that are perfect for a hybrid bride like myself (HongKonger from birth till 11 years old, then moved to the U.S.). I knew I wanted to wear a red traditional bridal dress (QiPao) but with a modern western twist. Queenie’s dresses is the perfect blend of the two cultures with an elegant and tasteful crossover. I really felt amazing in my red dress and I kept hearing people gasp and commented on how amazing my dress look on my wedding day. Queenie made sure that the dress fits perfectly with exact measurements on my body and alterations when I got skinnier before the wedding day. The dress is wonderfully and meticulously made by hand so you have to be patient with the wait time (give approximately 3 months before the wedding at the minimum). Everything about the dress can be custom made (fabric style, zipper/​tie, etc.) so you are sure to be satisfied with what you are getting from here. I’d been watching Lumiere Couture Bridal’s dresses on my Facebook feed for a while now, maybe 2 years and I always kept Queenie in mind as one of the people to contact for my future wedding dress. What kept me coming back was the Western style gown styles, but they also had the Mandarin collar which harkens back to my Chinese heritage.
Last year, Queenie held a Pop-​Up Salon in Irvine and I was able to try on her dresses for the first time. It wasn’t busy, so, even though I wasn’t a bride yet, she let me try on a bunch of dresses. We hit some winners immediately, but since I didn’t have any occasion for a formal dress, we left it at that, having had a really fun time to see her dresses up close and personal.
And then, we became engaged this year! So, I called up Queenie and she immediately set up a time to try on wedding dresses in earnest. I went in and tried so many dresses, but since it was my first stop, I wanted to take a look at other salons. What I love about working with Queenie is her business motto. Lumiere Couture Bridal is her baby and she wants it to grow as a designer dress salon; at the same time, I can see that she really cares about the happiness of the bride and the fit of the bride with the dress.
One month later after visiting other salons and I had a much better view of what I wanted out of my dress, I visited Queenie again to choose my Red chinese style reception dress. I was able to customise a few parts of my mermaid style dress, in addition to the dress color that comes standard with all of Queenie’s dresses.
Since each dress is made to order, Queenie gives you color options for the lining and the upper layer of lace for your dress. Though she might not have your size in her studio, you will definitely be able to see what different color combinations look like from the samples hanging there. I purchased a pink lace on pink lining, one shouldered dress, which, I absolutely love and look forward to wearing to my engagement shoot. In addition, I ordered a red lace on burgundy lining mermaid style dress to wear during the reception, which will allow me to enjoy my day in comfort while looking very elegant.
We’ve got a couple more months until the wedding and I am so excited to wear both of my dresses when they are ready! Thank you Queenie!

Lumière Couture Bridal Studio is on the second floor of a building in a quaint space. It is simple and elegant and the owner, Queenie, makes it very welcoming. My favorite thing about Lumière are definitely the dresses. The color selection is beautiful and the details on every gown are stunning. There are also bridesmaids dresses, gorgeous accessories, and other cute knick knacks like cards. Best of all, it is affordable! I visited during an event and Queenie pulled out all the stops to make sure her guest were taken care of. Between the delicious snacks and the hand crafted tea (amazing!!!), you can see the attention to detail from Queenie. Overall, the experience was wonderful. Thank you Queenie!

The collection of dresses is amazing! Queenie, the owner of the shop, is very professional and sweet. This is a studio shop that is very personal. She was very sweet and provided us with warm tea and some tea snacks to go with it as I tried on dresses. The shop’s name, Lumière, which means light in French, reflects her vision for the store– in which Queenie’s desire is for the bride to shine :) If you are looking for a dress that merges both the Asian and modern culture, this is the place to check out. Lumière Couture Bridal Studio is amazingly personal in caring for the customer and has a unique selection of east west fusion style dresses! I was with my friend to help her find a bridal gown and Queenie explained everything clearly about all the different aspects of the dress so by the end of our time, my friend had a much better understanding of what sort of dress she liked. Queenie’s caring and personal approach and her ability to intuitively understand my friend’s style made the experience helpful and enjoyable. I would highly suggest Lumiere to anyone!

Lumiere made me a Chinese style evening gown (cross between chi-​pao and western style evening gown) for my wedding and it was stunning. I got so many compliments and it looks so amazing in pictures! I was happy I had this dress at my wedding because it was way more soft and comfortable than my white wedding dress ;) Since everything is custom made, you get to pick out your style/​cut and fabric so you can mix and match to your hearts desire. Queenie is such a sweetheart and she was a pleasure to work with. I’m in love with my dress and now I need more excuses to wear it…

I love Lumière Couture Bridal Studio! It is such a cute, quaint, and cozy bridal studio. Queenie is so nice, patient, detail-​oriented, and is really helpful in assisting me with the perfect dress.
