I hate to criticize this little establishment, yet if it wanted to specialize in ten-don(TEMPURAOVERRICE), it’s missing big time what’s essential to make a good ten– don. Not even a a passing score as far as I’m concerned. What I meant is the tare(sauce) over the rice and tempura. A great ten-don in Japan always has great sauce poured over tempura and the rice. This is considered the spirit of the tendon. This place gave you a mediocre sauce in a dish. That simply does not work. Their yakiniku bowl was also a disaster… The picture showed some thick cuts of pork mixed with thin slices of pork together. Second time we tried,(we really want to give the place a chance) we received only thin slices of pork. The rice was not hot either, I confronted the the lady at the register, she played dumb, I asked to speak to the chef(if you call her a chef), but then I was so disgusted with it, I just left. Sad!

We ordered one shrimp and one vegie tendon. The tempura breading was heavy and darker than normal, indicating not the freshest oil. The quantity was just right and most of the contents were standard: shrimp, potato, egg plant, etc. But we were surprised to find a hard boiled egg as one of the tempura pieces. Unique indeed, but not the best idea; especially in the vegie tendon.
