ONEWORDSUMSUPTHISREVIEW. KAT. The bar tender Kat is awesome!!! She’s the primary reason we keep coming back! She gets to know you, is very friendly and DEFINITELY makes you want to come back here! Don’t get me wrong, the other bar tenders are nice and friendly, but Kat stands out like a ray of sunshine on a(non existent in so cal) rainy day! This place has 2 dart boards, 3 pool tables, shuffleboard, golden tee golf, Foose ball, tons of TVS, music, juke box. No beers on tap, but a good selection. Great strong drinks.

«This is The Cleveland Show!» If you are a Cleveland Browns fan, look no further. The owners are from Cleveland and they show all of the games here: They show the other NFL games, too, but if your team is playing at the same time as the Browns, you may want to go elsewhere. If your team is playing against the Browns, definitely go elsewhere. Same goes for Ohio State games(and Big Ten in general). They have drink specials for NFL Sunday, and, according to another review, you may get some free pizza if they order it. Just in case, better wear orange and brown. If you’re into bar games, they have darts, shuffleboard, pool, etc. They don’t have a kitchen, but apparently you can bring in your own food. 7 – 11 is within walking distance and I think local pizza places will deliver to Patrick’s. I am a big fan of craft beer. Don’t look for it here. I got a bloody when I was here recently to watch my Eagles. It was OK. I miss Edie.

By far the best bar in Costa mesa. Great owners, Vince and Donna are also bartenders themselves. Their staff is equally as amazing. So many different kinds of people are customers and once you walk through those established doors you are immediately felt welcome and right at home. So if your looking for a safe place to unwind for the night or just dropping in for a quick drink before heading home to your family, this is the place for you! See you all there!

Probably one of the worst bars in the world. I have tried a couple times to give the place one more chance but I will never go there again. I remember I went there a few years ago on Saint Patrick’s Day at noon for a beer. The lady wouldn’t serve me because I didn’t have my ID. I was 41 years old!!! This last time I went there and asked if they had a Happy Hour he said«no sorry» so I said«no problem, what kind of beers do you have»? he said«nothing on tap«and listed the normal bottled beers you would expect. $ 4 for Domestic and $ 5 or $ 6 for imported. OK so no Happy Hour and no beers on tap? wow we are off to a great start so I ordered an imported bottle and he opened it and served it to me. I handed him my credit card and asked him to keep my tab open. As I was walking away to go to the back patio smoking area, he said«we require you leave your ID with your credit card» I said but«I don’t have it on me «he said then you have to use the ATM and pay with cash, I said«OK» then walked toward the back patio smoking area and he said«you can’t take your beer out there». Why can’t I take my beer out to the smoking patio that is enclosed? it’s not a restaurant, there are no minors allowed and it is enclosed for smoking, what??? is it too much fun to be able to smoke and drink at the same time? no fun allowed here or what??? or the big jock is just a power tripper? What a joke!!! My friend looked at me and said«Wow this bar is just full of «CANT’S» isn’t it?» They have a $ 20 minimum for credit cards or you have to use the ATM and pay there $ 5ATM fee. The place sucks, it’s just jocks and old guys watching sports on TV, no chicks or music playing when I was there. I think all the people that left good reviews were paid to do so by the owner or something

Owners and customers were all friendly. Cheap drinks. Free pizza at halftime of the first game. $ 3 mimosas and bloody Mary’s during the game AND someone to watch a Brown’s game with. Lots of chants and cheers. A really nice time. Limited parking though.

This place is way bigger and more exciting inside than the outside lets on! Pool tables, shuffle and dart boards, multiple TV’s; this is the place to BE on any given game day! It’s got a great neighborhood dive bar feel and the bartenders are all very friendly. I’ve only been twice but both times sitting at the bar the bartender has known some of the other patrons. They even take the time to know your name after checking your ID so you feel at home. The biggest downside is that they have a $ 20 card minimum and the ATM machine has a $ 2 service fee that charges you twice each time you use it, so come prepared with cash already or plan on buying drinks for your friends and settling up later! They also don’t have a kitchen(though you can buy a bag of chips) but I overheard if you’re nice they’ll let you have food delivered and you can eat it at the bar.

Huge bar area. Actually, the whole place is huge. Pool tables, shuffleboard, etc. Kind of has a quirky, old school, been around 40ish years sort of vibe to it. Bartender was on top of her game, very friendly and very aware of her clientele’s drink needs. I went on a Sunday afternoon, and the locals were friendly, the jukebox was chugging out solid tunes, the TV’s were showing sports(golf, nascar, soccer, etc) and despite being a relatively older bar it was very clean. No draft beer, but not much wrong with a chilled bottle of suds. I’d go again.

The local patrons were very rude and full of bigotry, the FIFA semi finals were on between USA and Germany and all they could do was talk bad about the Germans and the bartender allowed it to happen, I would definitely find another pub to have a drink when visiting Costa. Mesa unless you’re a a bigot then you’ll fit right in.

Nice owners though Brown s fan I’m a Steelers Fan watching the Brown/Steelers game. There were only about 50 fans so they were cattled to only half the room. With the other half of16 people getting 4 TVs with other games. Not the best place to watch the games but great prices n nice owner.

There’s an old expression, «Pubs not clubs.» If you’re a fan of that expression, you’ll love Patrick’s Pub. Old and young, short and tall, whatever your preference, Patrick’s is the laid back place you can go into alone or in a group, sit by yourself and contemplate the world’s issues, or chat it up with the bartenders or locals to get other’s opinions and views. Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest and if you’re not their early enough, parking may be an issue. Patrick’s shares a parking lot with the motel it’s attached to and sometimes it can get quite crowded. In the pub not club theme, there’s a jukebox, pool tables, shuffleboard, darts, etc to keep you busy if you’re not into people watching and sipping on your cocktail. No dance floor so if you’re looking for that, continue on down to NB. Friendly, attentive bartenders and staff. Keep your Ps and Qs and you’ll have a great time. Definitely worth your time if you’re in the area and are in need of a refreshment. Enjoy!

I went here on an event less Sunday night so the place was pretty empty. Was looking to have a beer and play some darts with my boyfriend. They have a good selection of games including pool, foosball, darts and shuffleboard. It’s a clean bar where a lot of the locals hang out. Had a fun night and would go back.

Very disappointing establishment. No beer on tap, small TVs, and disrespecful staff as well as patrons. They don’t even have a happy hour. I was also insulted by the bartender. Don’t waste your time and money in a dump like this.

I love this bar. If ever I wanna just go catch a quick drink or hang out and have a few, Patricks is the place I go. Has 2 dart boards, foosball, shuffle board, pool tables and a great staff. Kat on the staff is awesome. Pretty cool chick. The whole staff is friendly. The place can be low key and not as crowded on the weekday but gets busier as the week goes. They play a variety of music but they also have a music box so you can pay to play songs of your choice.

If you like dive bars, this is the go to spot in Costa Mesa. I have this and Triangle Square in walking distance from my apartment complex. Sometimes I’m in the mood to get a bit sexy, demure and country and hit up Saddle back. But often I wanna throw on my flip flops, jean shorts and Abercrombie and Fitch T-Shirt a hang with the locals! And this is the spot to do just that, you have a huge mix of people here that enjoy the scene for the games and casual nature. The bartenders are the best especially Michelle! And the juke box is off the rails especially when you have the app where you pick music from your barstool. I would recommend this bar to either a group that wants a laid back reasonably priced scene to congregate and ketchup. Or I often go solo and I can say, I never have problems meeting a friendly stranger or 6.

Yup, funky little place next to a Super 8, behind the Orange Curtain. I like it though, no one hassled me the few times I’ve been there alone. They have good, strong drinks and nightly specials. Good tunes on the jukebox and interesting people watching. I’ll be back.

Fun place to come to on St. Patty’s Day. Biggest pain in the butt was the parking. Definitely not enough to sustain a full house so I gather a lot of people had to park across the street(hopefully legally). The mood was very festive and the bartenders were cool. They don’t serve food but will let you order in pizza from several different joints nearby. Green beer was somewhat pricey for the little cup you get but, hey, if you can’t make money off green beer on St. Patty’s day, when can you?
