Safeway

Hmmmmm… I don’t know how I feel about this location… I typically like Pavilions/​Vons (Safeway) but I ended up at this location as it is open until 2am and everywhere else only stays open until 1am. Parking was a breeze given it was 130am. The layout of this one is weird and not the best. Also I was treated poorly from the moment I walked in by the manager telling me I couldn’t have my bag with me. I looked at him in shock and told him to get real as if I am going to take something without paying for it-​how ghetto. Probably the time I went was why but still felt extremely uncomfortable and almost wanted to jump in my beemz and peel out of there and give my money elsewhere but it was late and at that point I just really wanted to get home. I noticed right away that this location also had barely any WOOHOO reduced price marked items in the deli/​cheeses/​olives/​etc. section in the store where the other locations tend to and I love digging around the clearance bins because I mean come on who doesn’t love paying less for the exact same thing! They also didn’t carry the Lucerne (the Vons brand of dairy) value pack of yogurt cups like other locations. Checkout was a breeze (again because of it being so late) and the clerk and bag attendant (another benefit to this location as typically after midnight sometimes even 11pm most grocery stores don’t have two employees working the checkout lane with one bagging and the other ringing up) were both very friendly and helpful! Picked up my MONOPOLY TICKETS too don’t forget to check your receipt if your playing and see how many your purchases awarded you. Overall, I give this Pavilions/​Vons (Safeway) a 2 star rating mostly because of how I was treated from the first foot in the door and also due to this location being poorly designed combined with many items being out of stock/​low inventory. To be honest… I will most likely only return to this location out of absolute necessity or if its after 1am and I simply cant wait until the next day on a particular item but if that were the case chances are I’d still just hit up the nearest 24 hour Walmart Superstore instead of having to go here. :(What a bummer, Vons!
