Uyesugi Kevin, DDS

My filing came out within less than a week. By then I had moved to SF. They reimbursed me for only a portion of the work. I had to find a new dentist in the Bay Area on short notice, and it costs more up here. That dentist informed me that the filing which I had received was not likely to last, and that I should have been warned. He did a more careful job and the filling has been intact for almost 5 months now. It is cleaner, the one I received from Uyesugi’s office was not smooth, and there were surfaces where food was collecting.
I requested a full refund, but they simply sent less than a full refund despite the fact that their work did not last a week. I felt like they rushed through their work, and it was sloppy. This is the worst experience I have had at a dentist.

I started going to this dental group in 1974 and became Dr. Kevin Uyesugi’s patient when he came on board many, many years ago. Dr. Kevin is the best dentist anyone could hope for. I’ve had so many weird dental needs and I always run right over to Dr. Kevin. There is never any pain in any of the procedures. I am novocaine resistant and he manages to get me numb every time. Falling asleep in the dental chair is easy to do. Dr. Kevin cares about your comfort every step of the way. Whether you are old or young, brave or timid, everyone fears the dental chair. There is no fear here. You will feel no pain or discomfort during your procedures! Dr. Kevin uses only the latest methods and won’t compromise or cut corners. Even the shots don’t hurt at all. If I could give him 6 stars, I would!

Kevin is, by far, the best dentist I have encountered. I have been going to him for the past 25+ years. He has always been conservative in his approach and I have never felt like I was being sold on any procedure or product. He has a great sense of humor as well as the staff in his office. He is simply the best there is out there!

This review is entirely biased since I’ve been going here for the better part of 17 years, but I’ll be damned if Dr. Kevin isn’t the best dentist in Southern California. I had to have a filling done yesterday, and the man does such an impeccably smooth job I went right to sleep in the chair. His chairside manner is second to none; he’s the best doctor I’ve ever dealt with.
I know a lot of people can’t stand the dentist; it freaks them out. They can be an impersonal lot, and I know the thought of Saw-​esque tools entering your mouth isn’t a good one, but if you need a dentist or you don’t have one you’re happy with, go here. The staff are awesome and I’ve never had a single bad experience in almost 20 years. Forget that 1−800-DENTIST crap. If you need someone to do solid, dependable work with lasting results, look no further.
