This dentist is not cheap, but I thought that since I was moving to the Bay Area, and I had $ 600 in FSA money I had to spend or lose, why not go for a great dentist! Nope. $ 550 later, I had a small filling that fell out only days later.
Now I am scrambling to find a dentist who can fix my filing, while trying to move into an apartment in SF, and I am starting a new job in two days. I called requesting a refund and they offered to refund me only for the bad filing. I told them that I the amount is inappropriate under the circumstances as I paid a higher price for this dentist and would never have gone with them if I had know they would cost me so much time to have to get the work redone. They refunded me the $ 260 for the filing, as a professional, I would have done more for any of my clients if I made such a serious gaffe.
The rest of you Unilocalers can decide for yourself whether I am overreacting, but I cannot advise that anyone should go to this dentist, my filing fell out two days after the work was performed!!!

Dr. Yamamoto is so friendly and his staff is wonderful. I’ve never had anything less than quality care, personable conversations, and reliable and integrity-​driven advice. I’ve never been overcharged, told I needed something that I didn’t, and in fact, I’ve actually been given things at no cost just because. There’s nothing to complain about here. If you hate going to the dentist, start seeing Dr. Yamamoto because you may just start enjoying it :)

My husband has been a patient for about a decade, and loves the doctor and staff. He has been trying to persuade be to switch dentist for years. Yesterday I had a need for immediate dental work — my crown fell out — again. Thought this was the time to change dentists.
My husband made arrangements for me to be at their office in 90 minutes. Although they have a big and busy practice, I was seen right at my appointment time, and no other patients had to wait on my behalf. Dr. Yamamoto is VERY smart and personable, and his front office staff are pleasant and bright. His dental assistants are so kind, fun and competent!
The entire staff is made up of professionals who excel and professional. All of them worked not only to fix the problem, but make me as comfortable as possible in the process.

The staff and hygienists are great. Dentist was good most of the time except worked quickly which concerned me that it was more about speed than quality. Then when he accidentally injected novocaine into my facial nerve which was extremely painful and caused my vision to be blurred for about an hour it really scared me. The assistants were nice and sat by me until the weirdness subsided, but I was just too scared to go back, worried that it might happen again. Had to find a new dentist.
