Vista Paint

Really terrible customer service. Called twice two days ahead of time to place an order for pick up. Both times when picking up they could not find the order, lacked any sense of urgency at all. Really doesn’t seem like they give a damn at all, no apology for taking long to find it. Rude and unfriendly staff.

I’ll try and cut a long story short, but basically I had some touch up work to do in my home of which the touch up paint was not provided when I bought the home from the developer a couple of years ago. The developer’s customer service guy was kind enough to have provided me with the brand and name of the paint which I then tried to find at Home Depot, with no luck. I was then told that I had to get this paint only from Vista Paints since Home Depot are only reps and therefore wouldn’t carry all the paint colors. So I was given the link to Vista’s website and located the nearest Vista Paint store, which happened to be in Costa Mesa… and off I went with my fingers crossed.
The store is not too hard to find especially with the help of GPS, and there was plenty of parking out front. As soon as I entered the store, I was greeted by a young guy behind the counter who asked how he could help me. I then described the paint I needed and he immediately helped me search for the sample. He had a little trouble finding it, but with the help of another guy who seemed more familiar, they finally found the sample of the paint I needed. I suppose either this or the paint code was needed in order to match and custom mix the paint.
I then passed the sample to the guy behind the paint customization counter, mentioned the sheen I needed, and he went ahead and made up a quart of the paint for me. Within a few minutes, HEY PRESTO… like magic, a can of the exact color and sheen of paint I was looking for was mixed and ready to go! …Awesome!
A young lady rung me up at the cashier counter, and she was such a nice and friendly person with a smile that really lit up the whole place. Good people… great service!!!

This store is run by a bunch of losers who have too much time on their hands.
They saw someone park behind their building who were not shopping at vista paint and proceeded to then park one of their employees big, lifted, ford excursion (clearly overcompensating for lack of size elsewhere) truck directly behind their vehicle so that they were blocked in and could not leave.
Mind you, the parking lot has NO SIGNS which say Parking for Vista Paint Only…
This particular employee was actually sitting in his truck, at the exact moment that they parked and got out of their vehicle and he didn’t think it would have been courteous to ask them not to park in this particular lot of they were not shopping there. Oh, and they had an infant in a stroller… Classy move.
When asked to move their truck, the Manager (at least 50 years old…) and his goons became defensive and acted like their childish behavior was justified. They eventually moved the truck and followed us to the parking lot as if they were attempting to be intimidating while watching us leave?
Either way, these guys obviously must not be very busy considering that they are resorting to playing childish games with potential customers.
Overall, ⁰⁄₅ if it were possible. Will not shop at a Vista Paint ever again and will stick to Sherwin Williams. As a business owner myself I would be mortified if my employees were this immature, and they would be fired on the spot for this kind of behavior.

I know this will sound weird, but nice big automatic wide door so you can carry your paint out easily to your vehicle. Extra star for that one!!!
