This is our go-to place for cold beer, tasty wings and sports on TV: hockey, football, baseball… you name it, they’ve got it.

I personally like Wingnuts over Wing Stop and Buffalo Wild Wings. This is a really good place to come to for Football Sundays. You can pretty much take over your table the whole day as long as you keep ordering food. They also have specials such as $ 5 beers, and half off appetizers. They have a gridiron special on Sundays too that costs $ 15 from what I remember. It includes a beer, 10 wings, and chips. Great spot for sports in general.

Cons. There are only two things that pisses me off about this place and its that the hostess like to take her sweet ass time attending to me. I’ve been here 3 times and every single time I’m always standing at the podium for about 15 minutes until someone other than the HOSTESS notices and seats me. The Second thing that bugs me about this place is the bad waitressing. Don’t get me wrong they have a few good waitresses, but if you’re unlucky you’ll get stuck with another idiot that likes to take their time and fuck around. There are PROS to this place though: Great food. Great bartender(older woman) forgot her name. Unlimited chips Not too long of a wait usually… unless the hostess and waitress keep fucking around.

Food portion was good. Food quality was decent, the mild buffalo sauce tasted like Thai with chile rub, it was very disappointing. The buffalo fries contains chile beans… Very unusual taste mixing chile beans, «buffalo» sauce, bacon and a lot of cheese. It was very heavy for what we ordered. The unlimited chips did not contain salt, very basic but decent. The service was decent(it was not busy whatsoever) Server got the order wrong, but there was a quick fix. The server did not have any recommendations and did not know wing flavors, but made up his service by always checking on drink refills…

I’ve gone a few times with the fam and it’s always been alright. Nothing special but at least the happy hour is decent. Today the hostess didn’t even know they had a happy hour. She kept on mention Sunday and Monday. Our waitress was never around. Never brought us utensils, napkins or anything. And never took our check. We had to walk it up to the front after waiting 20 mins. This place has been scratched off our list of places near by.

Been coming here for about 4 years. The wings are pretty good I think there better then bww. Prices are decent. I go for the buffalo Fries. Get them with the waffles. Half price appetizers Sunday’s and Monday’s.

Love love love this place! I get the 20 wings with 3 different sauces. A must have is the buffalo mild. Little heat with excellent balance between vinegar and cayenne. Also must have is the carolina bbq. I dont recommend the daves #5 sauce. Nothing special and no flavor. Definitely better then buffalo wild wings.

Wingnuts is the place to go if you are craving quality wings. Not only are the servers friendly and on top of it but the food is so tasty and always brought out hot and fresh. Make sure to come by Sunday’s since they have happy hour all day on appetizers and some drinks. Must try wing sauces: ~ Asian zing –BBQ whiskey Must try appetizers: –chili cheese fries(order with waffle fries) –buffalo chicken nachos Happy eating!

The service was ok… the food was HORRIBLE. Tried the chicken bruschetta out and it was bad. Tried the buffalo fries… they weren’t good. Had wings… flavor was ok the chicken was bad. Very dry and not the best service. They were slow and we had to kee tracking places down.

Every time I am in the area I have to stop at Wingnuts. I crave it. I used to go to the old Aliso Viejo location all the time. I have been to other wing places like Buffalo Wild Wings and Wingstop and they don’t compare. The food and the presentation of the food is far superior at Wingnuts. First of all, the first thing they bring out to you at Wingnuts are plates and silverware. Imagine that! At BWW I always have to hunt down someone to find me a plate or a fork. And when I’m eating at a table service restaurant(even if it is «bar food»), I expect more than just to be handed some chicken piled into a small paper container, and Wingnuts never does this; instead they always nicely arrange the chicken/veggies/chips/etc. on their plates. Second of all, the food is just higher quality. I always get the chicken strips(so I can’t speak for the wings) and they are always so juicy that it feels like they cook their chicken in the sauce whereas other places it feels like they take dry, crunchy, «nugget» like chicken and then pour some sauce on top. Some of my favorite sauce flavors are Honey BBQ(we used to do a catering order every year in Aliso Viejo for 500 people and this was always the flavor people raved about), Hot Teriyaki, Carolina BBQ, and the Pineapple-Jalepeno(P.S. I really miss the Cherry BBQ flavor from years ago!). The appetizers are also really good. Especially the Far East Nachos — seriously addicting! And make sure to try the waffle fries! And if you like churros(or anything cinnamon/sugar flavored) then you must try the Barnstormer dessert — fried cinnamon sugar chips + caramel + bananas + ice cream = to die for! And the Happy Hour/Daily deals are always a good deal. Also, I really appreciate that if you want white meat chicken and have a gluten allergy, you can enjoy grilled chicken strips with your choice of sauces! I only have two negative comments. One is for the Propeller chips. I love them… but it’s always a toss-up when I go whether they will be hot, fresh, well seasoned, and amazing or overcooked, plain, and disappointing. My other comment is about the service which is why-even though I love Wingnuts– I didn’t give 5 stars. Half the time I go to this location the service is not good — even when it’s not very busy. We end up having to flag down our server for drink refills/to place our order/get the check. And the worst time(a couple years ago) our waitress just seemed completely out of it. Like her mind was in another world(she would literally stare off into the distance and we’d have to repeat over and over what we were saying). The other half of the time though the service is great

Went here for lunch yesterday. Overall, quite impressed. You can tell that they don’t cut corners as the wings were a good size, not overly fried and greasy, the onion rings were battered in-store, not from a frozen bag, and the iced tea was brewed in-house, not from a soda fountain. I’ve seen others complain about wing pricing in the reviews, but clearly they just don’t know how much good quality wings like these cost. Prices seem to be on par with BWW and these wings are far superior in size and cooked much better. As for the sauces, between my friend and I, we had 5 different sauces. The mango habanero was easily the best in my opinion. My friend liked the Carolina BBQ. However, we both agreed that the«wing sauce» that they use is downright horrific. It’s not your standard vinegar-based wing sauce you’d expect like Frank’s, but rather some sort of tomato-based sauce with heavy amounts of chili powder. No matter what’s in it, it’s just not good. Sad to leave wings on the plate just because of a bad sauce. Even with the bad wing sauce(I now know to avoid it), everything else was quite good. The chips were a good accompaniment, though I would argue to substitute fries, it’s a bit on the expensive side(I think $ 3.29 or something like that) — so just stick with the chips, they’re good, fresh, and crispy. For the 12 wings I ordered, I got one order of ranch(or bleu cheese if you so choose) and extras are $ 0.69/ea, however, it was a good size or ranch and lasted the whole meal. Service was good, easy to see TVs from wherever you sit, beer selection could be improved to get more local craft in rather than all the macros, but overall, really impressed and now my go-to for wings at lunch. Already planning to go back next week.

Have come here numerous times for lunch with the family. Really good wings and waffle fries. The bone in wings are my favorite. My brother in law loves the sliders. They have a great coleslaw on it and I’m not a fan of coleslaw. There’s a decent selection of brews and drinks. I always have a good time here and have never had a bad server. The bathrooms are always clean and functional. So that’s a big plus. There’s usually happy hour specials or whatnot. Just call and ask if you want to be prepared. This place fills up quick though. It’s in a great busy shopping area here in HB. So come early.

Came here for Super Bowl 50. Found a table, plenty of Big Screens to watch and had a great time. Food was tasty and the service was great. Even kept my Ice tea quite full! Check it out if you are ever in the area(near the Target and Sprouts)

Definitely have a love hate relationship with this one. Been coming here since about 2006 and the food can disappoint and amaze. I’ve had so many great experiences with the wings & appetizers that I hold a high standard for one of my hometown favorites. The wings are a must, a lot of great flavors! All the appetizers are awesome. It’s a great place for all types of people, to watch your favorite game! When the Lakers won the championship against the Celtics in 2010 this place was packed and it was a night I will never forget. Enjoy the happy hour days/times, tender Tuesday, and wing it Wednesday!

Wings, man. Wings. Listen, I love wings. I like trying all the different flavor a of wings. But why are the following things always(ALWAYS) true about wing places? 1. Wings are expensive. They just are. You want 10 tiny little chicken wings? That’ll be the price of a full entrée. I get that you have to do them in batches so I can’t just get like one of each flavor to take advantage of the variety. But does it need to cost so much? 2. Service is bad. Buffalo Wild Wings? Bad service. Wing Stop? Bad service. Here? We watched as our waitress checked up on 5 tables, all adjacent to us, and then just pass over us. We had to flag her down to ask for a refill on water. You know, water? That thing to cool down the mouth? After the spicy? The most common thing that would need to be checked on at a wing place? At least it isn’t Wing Stop, where a couple who came in before us waited an hour for wings they kept promising were coming and then it turned out they lost the ticket. And then the guy behind the counter yelled at them. But that’s not here, so don’t read that sentence out of context. 3. There is no 3. 4. Everything else on the menu is mediocre, even if the wings are good. My wife enjoys the Propeller chips, which are basically fries that are shaped like chips(in that they aren’t crispy, and sometimes soft), but to me they’re just okay. The problem for me is that I love wings, but it frustrates me to no end that I have to come to a wing place to get wings. They all need to step it up a little bit.

Talk about a total random lunch excursion, but I have to admit I was actually impressed with the overall experience here. I had my heart set on some wings, but since I wasn’t able to tell if they came bone in or out by the menu I decided to go pull a 180 and go for the sliders instead as it was a semi work related lunch and I didn’t want to go ham on wings as not to traumatize my coworker. I went for the mix and match sliders where you get to select 4 total and 2 each for flavors. I picked the regular cheeseburger and buffalo chicken as my selections. I know the picture doesn’t do it justice, but come hungry as these are not the regular rinky dinky(yes I did say that) slider. I could only pound out 2 of them as they did pad the stomach and cause the wall in no time. For me the meat itself was cooked a bit more than I’d prefer, but overall partnered with the sauce(buffalo sauce for the buffalo chicken and a 1000 island type of sauce for the cheeseburger) and soft buns it still went down with a smile. From a service stand point it did have ups and downs from what I observed. Our waitress was friendly and all, but observing them as a collective group the all woman crew did seem to hover around the kitchen area a lot which didn’t bother me although just seemed worth mentioning. I can certainly see this as a great happy hour spot given the atmosphere and I do see myself stopping by next time in town to at least give the wings a shot as well.

I was feeling emotional so naturally I found myself wanting to eat chicken wings. The wings are mediocre(got lemon pepper and buffalo hot) but I love chicken wings so much, I happily ate them. They give out free potato chips that are surprisingly really good. When you eat chicken wings, you must eat with a coke. That’s my Unilocal elite advice for the day.

Holy cow!!! I’m a very picky wing eater, and this place has done it. I had the Wednesday wing special, 12 wings, a side and choice of 2 flavors for $ 8 something. Regularly the 10 piece is $ 11 or $ 12 something. Either way its cheaper! The staff was friendly, fast and definitely a pleasant visit. So I ordered half plain and half lemon pepper. The server said the wings are fresh and NEVER frozen. They are baked and then u have the option to get it fried or grilled. I highly recommend the fry! Hoooooo my gaawd!!! Crisspity crunchity awesomeness as u bite into the chicken! Its juicy, crispy, bursting with flavor, and I want to go back now.(had lunch there today) Wowoweewa! Got buffalo sauce on the side(didnt care for this) since I don’t like my wings wet, or soggy. The franks red hot is the business for me! DELISH!
