My favorite breakfast in Cottage Grove! Small family run bakery and eatery. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted with the most amazing smell of freshly baked cinnamon rolls hot out of the oven… mmm! If your mouth isn’t watering yet, you pass by all of their freshly prepared scones and baked goods on the way to you seat. The ambiance is just as perfect for a small 2 person meeting as it is a whole family gathering. The staff is prompt, friendly, and give you that small town feeling that everyone knows your name and is happy to see you!

My husband and I stopped in for a cup of coffee. We ended up staying and having one of the best scones I’ve ever had(Banana Chocolate). Amazing! Service was nice. We will be back!

Our breakfasts were absolutely delicious! We were able to customize our omlets and a gluten free toast option was available too. Service was awesome and the café has been owned by the current owners for 4 years.

A really lovely place. My girls and I stopped in to grab a few snacks to hold us over on our road trip. We ended up with a few egg biscuits and coffee to go. They were divine. Biscuits were perfect, buttery goodness. I almost wish I would have ordered another for myself after I hurriedly inhaled mine on the interstate. I also appreciated that the cashier took the time to charge me for my special order instead of just charging me for a similar item already on the menu(mine was without meat and avocado.) coffee was great and prepared just as I ordered. If we lived closer I’d definitely be a regular here. Also, I believe the owner? came over and asked if my girls could have a sticky bun on her. I guess she saw them eyeballing the pastry case. We chatted a few minutes on our way out and she seemed like such a lovely woman. It’s always nice to meet the faces behind beloved cafes. Usually much of the charm you see in the place is a reflection of the owner. Definitely the case here.

We stopped in on our way to S. OR. The bakery is in an eclectic bookstore/tavern. The smells of the fresh baked goods were amazing. The owner and son were charming and the cinnamon roll was delish! We will definitely stop in again on our road travels. Best breakfast place we have found close to I-5 so far.

I’m in town visiting relatives and stopped in for breakfast at 1 pm.(Breakfast served all day –yes!) Their lattes are delicious. We ordered a build your own scramble which melted in our mouths. The food is fresh and wholesome as well, which is a plus for me! The folks here are also authenticity friendly. The atmosphere is cool. I came here for breakfast and a latte every day I was in town. Also, not super packed with people — just right!

So sad to visit and find this place had changed ownership. Used to be my favorite place for morning goodies. Baked goods were all over baked and dry. Thought it was maybe just a bad morning, so a friend and I stopped in the next day again. Same thing– every baked good was over cooked and dry, except for the bagels. Told that the bagels are the only thing that isn’t made there! Need someone to come in that knows what they are doing… :(

Friendly people, good organic coffee, tasty biscuits. You can drop in and pick up coffee or pastry, or stay a while. Quaint place shares space with a bookstore and a bar.

Stale bagel, a can of soda, processed thin ham out of a package. Waitress was polite and prompt. Very unimpressive food. Over-priced IMHO. Coffee was ok.

Stopped on the way out of town after visiting family. Welcoming, friendly staff. Ordered the Cottage Grove Poached, 2 poached eggs over biscuits and gravy, heaven. Coffee was solid as well.

Stopped in on our way up I-5 for lunch. We found this place delightful, charming and the food excellent. The special quiche and salad was perfect combo. I will be back next trip through and wish them much success.

A gem and backed up to the Axe & Fiddle. The two share the same dining area and are open to the funky bookstore next door. This place really seems like it would be a better fit for Eugene than Cottage Grove. We stumbled across it by accident and are glad we did. The kitchen is small and menu is limited, but it is also very good. Excellent salads to choose from, great sandwiches, but if you want more of a gut-buster, their gravy is special and in particular a menu item I think called the«porky pig.» If this place were closer to my home I would go there more often than I should. If I am ever driving through in the evenings, I will have to stop by and hope to catch some music.

Stopped for breakfast on way up I5 based on other reviews. Glad we did! It’s a ways off the freeway in the heart of town but worth the drive. We ordered an omelette and Belgian waffle. The waffle was late coming so they gave us a sticky bun on the house which was melt in your mouth delicious. Definitely worth the drive to this place.

The menu doesn’t have much of a selection when it comes to breakfast and the rest of it is far from impressive. I ordered an omelette and home fries one morning. Everything was fine until I noticed a long curly hair in my omelette. I didn’t make a scene or anything. I walked my plate up to the counter and quietly told them I found a hair. The waitress looked at me with such disrespect like I planted it there. She made a big deal about it asking me what I wanted her to do about it. The solution was obvious to me… I went back and sat down with my friends while they ate their«clean» food. She later huffed and puffed her way over to tell me my food had been comped.

I ordered the Eggs Benedict that came on home made Biscuits. Wow — A must have. My husband had the Biscuits and Gravy — he loved it. If your in the area stop for breakfast, you won’t be disappointed.
