Clean, reasonably priced, non-ethanol high octane gas for us knee dragging, sportbike folks. Friendly staff that will turn the pump on without having to run inside and leave a credit card. I’ve been buying gas from these guys for the past 18 years through different owners and staff and not much has changed –EXCEPT, now their restroom is for staff only and here is why, — there is a city owned, very clean public facility across the street. Use it and don’t put these guys on the spot.

Stopped to get gas for our motorcycles in May of ’15 on our way to Windy Ridge and found out there are no public restrooms even if you purchase gas from this establishment. After mentioning to my friend in an offhand fashion that the next time we are going up that way, we should stop for gas at the Chelatchie Prairie station so the ladies could use the restrooms there, 30 something jerk guy behind the counter at that point literally went off, screaming at me for said comment which wasn’t even directed at him. I will NEVER patronize this establishment again. Dude has mental issues. Cougar Bar and Grill were happy to let the ladies in our group use their restroom without even asking any of us to purchase anything. We did end up having lunch/beers there but that was because we were hungry/thirsty, not because they required it.

Friendly staff and a fun selection of commonly forgotten camping and outdoor equipment. They have a great hot case so if you are starving after hiking the ape caves and have a hankering for a few BBQ burritos and half a dozen corn dogs this is the place to stop. Fuel is ethanol free and fairly priced. I have asked the staff questions about the hiking and camping in the area and they have always been able to give me good advice.

It’s a happy place when you’re heading out for a few days into the woods or hiking St. Helens. Prices are fair, and the supplies are pretty good for what you’d be looking for for a car camping or backpacking trip – candy, beer, water, crackers, snacks, gas, and some pieces of standard camping supplies. It’s less about about awesome the store is and more about the fact that it’s THERE, otherwise you’d be driving back 30 miles to get the the next one. When you’ve forgot something, it’s a godsend.
