Planet Fitness – Council Bluffs

I’ve never belonged to a gym before but thanks to you I am hooked. It is so clean and bright. I love all the different machines. The staff is always helpful without being pushy. I’ve lost 10 lbs and feel better than ever! And you can’t beat the price. Thank you!

Only problem that I have observed so far, is employees aren’t very knowledgeable on Planet Fitness policies. I asked two different staff members the same question, and received two different answers. Which person do you believe?

I wanted to go to a gym in the Fall/​Winter time so I could run and keep my cardio up. I saw Planet Fitness, took a tour, and joined.
I really like this place. It’s a basic gym with a lot of Treadmills, Stair Steppers, and other cardio machines. It also has free weights and a bunch of other muscle machines.
They have about 7? TV’s in the front, and you can plug your headphones into your treadmill and select what TV you want to listen to; its a very cool feature. I usually just bring my tablet and what part of a movie or TV show.
The employees are really nice and knowledgeable about the machines as well. When we took a tour, Jessica, (I’m pretty sure its Jessica), was only their for a couple weeks and she was able to answer all of my questions.
It’s only $ 10 a month, which is dirt cheap for a gym that size IMO.
I’ve gone a few times and don’t have any complaints just yet. Will update my review if I do.

Planet Fitness! AVOID THIS SCAM FILLED PLACE!!! I cannot express to you enough how much crap this place tries to pull. My fiancé and I went in to cancel our memberships after learning that they would charge us our annual fee starting in June if we did not cancel. My fiancé called and asked them when we needed to come in and avoid the fee. They told her we could cancel before the 1^st and be fine. They did not say we had to come in. After trying to cancel online repeatedely we finally went in. Just to learn that actually we had to cancel at least 5 days before the first or else we would be charged.
IF it was just us that would be one thing, BUT look at this website. Turns out this is a VERY common issue.
I HATE being scammed more than anything. I think we should sue!

PF is, at it’s heart, little more than a basic gym– and at a $ 10 a month price point, that’s okay. They have tanning, hydromassage tables, and a few other things available if you want to become a ‘black card’ member for another $ 10 a month, but that’s up to you.
It’s worth mentioning that if you’re looking for Zumba/​any other sort of class, you really won’t find it at PF. They do have a instruction class called P. E@PF but from what I understand it’s really just a basics course (but I could be wrong).
