I will be the first to say that I am a huge fan of Ruby Tuesdays. The one my wife and I frequent in Lincoln by our house is a great place to eat and always has great food and amazing service. That being said, this Ruby Tuesday that we went to on Mothers Day in Council Bluffs had good food but that was about it. It took us twenty minutes to get our drinks, another twenty to get our food, and an additional twenty to get the check. We were there for an hour and a half. Our waitress wasn’t the friendliest and she seemed to be having to do two or three jobs besides her own. We weren’t at a busy time, about 3pm, and it seemed about 75% full. I would have thought they may have been short staffed but when we went to walk out there were 4 people standing around up front. The food was good and that was the only thing that save our experience.

I really can’t believe this place is open-still. Ruby Tuesday should be embarrassed by the condition of this location. Ok they need to clean or update, Just smelled in there-whatever — Just not a good representation. The bartender was good and she was working hard-attentive. The food just absolutely sucked-burger Not hot-kind of warm, baked potato room temp at best + not baked 100%. Good luck for survival unless you change management team.

I’ve been to this Ruby Tuesdays a lot in the past few years and my most recent visit was with my family a couple weeks ago to spend a couple gift cards that my Dad received from his work for years of service. We had 6 adults and a baby. The table they sat us at needed to be fixed or thrown out. Both sides of the table was flimsy and hanging down; they weren’t level with the rest of the table at all. This made it hard for my wife and I to feed our daughter on either side of the table. We didn’t want to jack with everyone moving their stuff so we dealt with it. I ordered the Colossal Burger, which is basically two of their full burgers on top of each other. It was surprisingly pretty delicious. I got the burger but there was no fixins on it,(lettuce tomato, pickle, onion.) I asked the waitress if I could get some. After about 5 – 10 minutes, I started to get impatient and got up to talk to her but she was already on her way with my veggies. Not sure why it just didn’t come on the burger in the first place but oh well. The beef was flavorful and the fixins and bun were both really fresh. After my Dad paid with his gift cards, we waited a while for the waitress to return,(I believe her name was Jessica), and she didn’t return and there was still some money left on one of the gift cards. We had to get her attention to get the gift card back which I’m sure just slipped her mind, but it was an inconvenience none the less. Overall, the real saving grace of this visit was my Colossal Burger. Basically two restaurant style burgers for $ 12.50; a great deal that I would definitely get again.

I’ve been to Ruby Tuesdays more times than I can count and every time we go, it’s an okay/dull experience. I feel like I’ve been disappointed more times than not. This last experience had me rolling my eyes out of my head. We were meeting our family for lunch on New Years. They crammed 6 of us and a high chair in a tiny corner, that was almost impossible to venture to and from. It made it extremely difficult to feed a messy 9 month old and keeping inappropriate things, including my husband’s and mine’s lunch, out of her reach. They had used a leaf on the edge of the food that sloped down towards my child, and made it super awkward to eat on. Though I had not been to Ruby Tuesday’s in years, I had remembered that they used to do biscuits, similar to Red Lobster’s biscuits. They were always late coming to the table, dry, head, and we could never get another basket because they couldn’t keep up. We never got biscuits this time, didn’t see anyone else with biscuits, and had to ask. They came halfway through the meal after asking again for them, and they were burnt and hard. Another difference I noticed was that the servers were in street clothes and jeans. It looked more like a mom and pop place than a corporate chain restaurant. Maybe they were given a lax day for the holiday? The food in particular is pretty good. They have a nice balance of sandwiches and then higher end foods. I had the chicken and broccoli pasta with the salad bar. The pasta was very flavorful and the salad bar was fresh and stocked. The staff was nice and attentive. I will not be returning to Ruby Tuesdays unless with the in-laws.

Typical Ruby Tuesdays. The steak was good and the beer was cold. The place was pretty empty because I usually eat early. The service at the bar was great. They did make a mistake on steak but it was corrected very quickly.

I was hesitant to give this Ruby Tuesday another try due to extremely Poor Service from Andy that occurred about two months ago. He visited our table exactly twice, once to take our order and once to receive our payment. Our drinks set empty during our entire meal and every plate from start to finish set dirty for our viewing pleasure. I decided to come on my own this evening. However, Tonight I had one of the BEST meals I’ve eaten at this location. My server: Tina did a Phenomenal Job of keeping my Ice Tea full and suggesting the New Cajun Ribeye. It was absolutely mouth watering. I will definitely be back for another steak and Stellar service from Tina.

I have been here several times(mostly for take out) and have never had the best service. I either get attitude from the servers(or completely ignored), or my food is just awful. For example last time I ordered ribs, thinking they would be nice and juicy and fall off the bone… I was wrong. They were so burnt and tough not even my knife could cut them apart. The only thing that saved the meal was the mac and cheese, which is usually good and the only thing worth going for. The only benefit of this place is that it is one of the only«nicer» places in the area, so close to my house. I highly doubt I will be giving them much more business, unless someone else is paying. it is not worth the price.

I think I expected a nicer restaurant, it might be the salad bar that you almost run into right inside the door, it made if feel a bit like a cafeteria. Our waitress was very friendly and food was prompt, except my dish came out wrong, the waitress made up for it with a desert of our choice. I had the grilled salmon with spaghetti squash, which was an interesting side choice and both tasted very good. My husband had a cheeseburger and fries and said it was great. The salad bar may have looked unattractive but we both had a great salad! The atmosphere could use some improvements.

DONOTGOTOTHISLOCATION — this review pertains to our last and final visit to this location of RT. We had high hopes, they had sent a coupon for my birthday… this visit cannot be as bad as the last one, right? WRONG! Basically — took over an hour to get a regular burger and an order of mini burgers that were cooked wrong, dressed wrong and all together wrong. the whole ordeal stole 2 hours of my life I will never get back(overly dramatic, sorry — it is my birthday dinner after all). For expecting people to pay over $ 10 per plate, this restaurant has really gone down hill. Errors all over the place — AVOIDIFATALLPOSSIBLE.

Very good service but the food was not good and was served barely warm. Pretty fair salad bar.

The only reason I am giving them 3 stars is because the service was good. But the food was burnt, over cooked and over seasoned. The server was really cool, but the order was messed up and my friend found a hair in her food. The manager tried saying it was a piece of green bean, as if to make an excuse or insult my intelligence. Then offered to give us free dessert! We don’t eat dessert, we didn’t even mention an interest in dessert. After declining the dessert, she decides to only take off the appetizer, which costs less than the plate we found the hair on. My husband thinks this is the best restaurant he’s been too because the parking lot is empty and we could do donuts if we wanted! Hahahaha Charlie Murphy
