Not good — very shady. Even though the sushi is made right there, doesn’t mean it’s fresh. I ordered taki/Maki(tuna) — i took one piece and threw the rest out.

I had the fried rice here and it tasted fine. I don’t really have any issues with their food. The fact that the ordering process was a bit frustrating due to negligent service was the downside to my experience. Like all the other negative reviews here, there was a considerate amount of wait time for the food too. It looks like this restaurant is being ran by new management now but it still has major problems needed to be solved. I want to support small businesses in general, but Sushi 863 needs to step up a lot in order to stay in business. Plus, the location just sucks. It’s easy to just pass by without even noticing this small store next to bunch of non-restaurant stores.

We had some take out Rahman noodle… very good. At $ 6.95 don’t expect homemade noodles. The broth was spicy and delicious.

Very generous serving size for the lunch sushi, 16 pieces with soup and eggroll for 8 $. The sad thing is that it took 40 mins for the food to come, restaurant completely empty. Eggroll was never brought, when asked if we could get it we had to wait an additional 30 mins for one egroll. Don’t think I will be heading back anytime soon.

Went in on a cold day. It was freezing in there. I should have left! I felt sorry for them so I stayed. Ordered lunch special and hot tea. Never brought tea. Finally brought miso soup and it was Luke warm. It was so cold in there we needed it to warm up. The sushi was worse than super market quality. Charges like 3 for crappie tea. They do not even deserve one star. DON’T GO!!!

Will never come again. Expensive and waited 50 minutes for my order which I was told would take 20 minutes. There was one other couple in the restaurant so it wasn’t even busy. After all this I hope this stuff tastes good.

I’ve been eager to write a review for this place and I’m glad it’s finally listed on Unilocal.Unfortunately I did not try the food so I really can’t speak to the quality but I think my experience is worth sharing. My husband and I were shopping at the Centre and spotted this new sushi place. We love sushi and they were advertising a lunch special until 2PM. It was about 10 minutes til 2 so we thought we’d try it. We walked in and the shop was completely empty. There were a couple of employees at the front but they seemed really uninterested. When I finally got their attention they informed us they were no longer offering the special even though it wasn’t yet 2:00. OK. We were still interested in eating sushi so we stepped back to considered what to order. While we were standing there I was really turned off by the sour attitude of the staff and by the LOUD electronic music coming from a laptop at the front of the store. We left and went next door instead. I won’t be going back.

I saw a coupon for this place on and decided to check it out. The place is new(I’m writing this in September of 2014), but it’s a cafeteria-style establishment as opposed to full-service dining. While I was there, several people took their food to go. The two men inside were very polite and tried to help the best they could, but special orders were very difficult as they don’t speak English well at all. I thought I made my order very clear when I explained«no sesame seeds», but lo and behold, it arrived with seeds galore. Within the limitations of the language barrier, they tried their best to accommodate me. Food was delicious if a bit pricey, and it was an overall pleasant experience. If I’m in the area again, I’d probably go back in if I had a craving for sushi.
