Wow! Such great service. I sit at the bar and have the best time. When you go, ask for Hannah. Best server and bartender EVER!

I really enjoy the atmosphere at Raku, they have great service and a friendly environment. It is great for a date night or casual dinner with friends. Their sushi rolls are pretty and delicious and at great prices. Definitely best sushi in EG!

Great sushi! Loved the Amazing Tuna and Fantastic rolls. Great deal and the drinks are generous(e.g. Maker’s & diet and Vodka tonic).

Raku Sakura has some really great lunch specials, which include soup, salad, crab rangoons, and white rice(for non-noodle dishes). They are reasonably priced and very filling. Unfortunately I thought the quality of the food was only mediocre. I ordered the chicken pad thai lunch special, and it was very greasy and lacked the depth of flavor one seeks in a good pad thai. All I tasted was the lime I squeeze on top. There was really very little other flavor. The lime should compliment the noodles, not be the main flavor. The soup was piping hot and pretty good. The salad had a dressing reminiscent of 1000 island as opposed to the expected gingery dressing one usually gets at Asian restaurants on their salad. For the most part I ended up skipping the salad. The crab rangoons were exactly as expected, hot and crisp with creamy filling comprised of cream cheese and *cough cough* imitation crab meat. It is what it is. These were fine. I was mostly not impressed with the pad thai. I’m not Asian, and my pad thai is significantly better than what I got here. Perhaps next time I should try some of the other menu items instead. I’d still order from here again because it really is a good deal, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Food was very good… service was poor, nothing kills a good experience faster than service in my opinion. We waited far too long to even get offered a beverage, and at the end we actually had to walk up front to pay our bill after requesting and then waiting 10 minutes for it to arrive. Before you ask about how busy it was, it wasn’t. If you are looking for decent priced sushi and good food, go here, but expect to possibly wait a while… YMMV

This could easily be considered my new favorite sushi place! Partly because if you dine in you get sushi half off! Aside from the half off sushi, I always have a difficult time choosing the rolls I was because they are all soooo good. Usually when I go it is not very busy which surprised me because it’s THAT good. The service is great, I’ve had Sean as a waiter and he is awesome. There’s nothing bad I can say about this place, it’s amazing!

All you need to know: 50% off sushi!!! My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant in East Greenwich last week. A coworker recommended them. It was during a Pats game, so it was pretty quiet, even though the game was on in the bar. We ordered the crispy pork spring rolls, two sushi rolls, and beef udon. I loved the udon, though it is twice as expensive as it is at my usual places. However, the cheap(but yummy!) sushi made up for the extra cost.

Sakura is a nice low key sushi restaurant. I often come for lunch and have their 3 roll lunch special. For dinner I go for the specialty rolls and one of my favorites is the spicy bad girl. My kids like the udon stir fry noodles.

Quality and flavor were on-target. Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. The sushi rolls were a little on the smaller size when compared to other establishments; but don’t let it deter you because price-per-piece will still cost you less than those other places without a compromise to quality. Presentation scored an A. My tuna sashimi was wrapped up in some kind of rose pattern which I appreciated. Overall, I have no complaints and would both return to this restaurant in the future and recommend it to others. Try the seaweed salad and the salmon cucumber sashimi roll.

Good Value Sakura, a sushi restaurant along the Main St. Of downtown East Greenwich. I was walking along the strip and I spotted this place and decided to give it a try. I am glad I did. The restaurant is very nicely appointed with a large center bar. We went in for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised by the selection and prices. The restaurant boasts a full sushi station with skilled chefs creating quality items. Tip: The best deal is the lunch special, half price sushi rolls. Our bartender also did a great job spinning up wonderful Polynesia cocktails. Sakura, great value for lunch and good spot to grab a Mai Tai. Thanks

We checked out Raku Sakura on a Thursday night after many months of driving by and saying«we should check that place out.» We are very happy we did! The entire place is redone(especially compared to what the Chinese restaurant before it looked like!) and features a large bar with seating on all four sides, a sushi bar in the rear of the restaurant, and booths and tables in the front and back of the restaurant. The walls are very detailed and composed of stone and the bar has some very funky lighting which adds a cool feel to the place. It’s perfectly located on Main Street, next to the Green Door shop. They also have their own parking lot which is a plus on busy weekend evenings! Take out and delivery were both options that seemed to be popular while we were there. Two of us ordered the chicken hibachi, which for $ 15 came with chicken, veggies, shrimp appetizer, rice, special hibachi sauce, soup, and salad. Hard to say no to all that food for the price! True, they do not make it table side which may be a con for some but was a pro for me. Everything was well done and appeared to be prepared fresh. I’m usually not crazy about the ginger dressing for the salads at hibachi places but this one was really good! The portion was large that we brought almost half of it home for lunch today. Another dining mate enjoyed the happy family meal which was various seafood, meat, and veggie offerings sautéed in a sweet sauce and served with white rice and a choice of soup or salad. This also received rave reviews! The plating of the food was beautiful and was a nice surprise to see the detail they put into it. Next time I visit I hope to try something from their extensive drink menu and sushi menu… both looked mouthwateringly good! The sushi was made so quickly people at the tables near us were shocked. Customer service appears to be top notch here and will likely keep you coming back!

I have nothing bad to say about Raku Sakura! For my boyfriend and I, this is our go-to sushi/Asian fusion restaurant in East Greenwich. Their hours are great, the food is amazingly delicious and they add an artistic flare to the plates, the servers are friendly and helpful, the décor is inviting, the restaurant itself is spacious and you absolutely cannot beat the prices. The ongoing half-off sushi roll deal is a godsend for a broke college graduate such as myself. Definitely give this place a try.

Decent food. Very good service. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. I rated this a 3 because the competition in RI is fierce.

Okay, this was my first visit. recommended by my wife because she loves it at lunch! I had the Hibachi chicken which was good, but not as flavorful as I had imagined. The calimari appetizer was just okay, and actually it looked and had the texture of frozen onion rings from the grocery store. The dipping sauce was insanely good, as was the salad dressing. So a mixed review food wise. The BEST part was the atmosphere and service. The place was cozy on a snowy Saturday night and the waitress could not have been more charming and friendly! I have NOT yet tried the sushi, but have heard rave reviews. I will return, hoping my 3-star review goes to 4-stars!

Go for the half price sushi. Great way to try new rolls and pieces and a reasonable price. They have this amazing duck appetizer too I suggest you try. Sushi bar is a little high. Hard to get up and down from the chairs. If you’re short you’ll have trouble. Their hand rolls are wonderful. Happy with everything I’ve had here.

Reasonably priced sushi, but it misses the mark somehow. We prefer Dragon Palace! P. S. the staff is clueless.

Driving through Main Street in East Greenwich always feels like an experience in a time machine. To me, street-side shops bustling with activity are a throwback to a bygone era. While passing by, I saw this place shortly after it it opened, and I finally had a chance to visit. Parking was awful. The streets were packed, and I had to find a spot downhill in the neighborhood. When I finally got inside, I saw that the interior was decorated with that stacked rock wall motif popping up everywhere. The bar is the centerpiece of the place, and it was busy as we were led to our table. It was an attractive setting but made me think the place was designed for drinks rather than dining. Food was readily prepared and served, and all but one dish was made to satisfaction. I had to send some sushi back because it was loaded with sesame seeds despite ordering to the contrary. The sushi was fresh and tasty, and the entrees were equally enjoyed. During our dinner, the waitress overheard us talking about a birthday and surprised us with a dessert on the house. Nicely done.

We came here for dinner on New Years Day and loved it! The drinks were awesome; scorpion bowl that came in three different sizes(we opted for the large) and piña coladas. The server; Apple was so sweet(no pun intended) and the food was amazing! For appetizers we had; nim chow, as well as sushi, princess’s roll and sexy bad girl, they were all done perfectly, very fresh veggies and fish. For dinner I had the Chicken Pad Thai, my husband had the Chicken and Steak combo(from the hibachi menue). The hibachi was not table side as my other favorite Japanese restaurant(Sho Gun) but I’m not always in the mood for that anyway! We didnt have to share a table with strangers and had a nice quiet New Years day. We will definitely be back!

We met friends for a meal this weekend– I wasn’t overwhelmed with amazingness but the sushi was actually really good. The wonton soup was also! The price was right, there just wasn’t a fun atmosphere/feeling in the restaurant. A fun bar would really liven things up. Again, sushi? Delish! Service– not bad at all. Just wasn’t that super fun Saturday night place you’re looking for.

I was underwhelmed by the hibachi at this place. I didn’t sit at a hibachi table just ordered it from a regular table. I got the hibachi chicken. I found the chicken a bit dry and the sauce offered not as tasty as other hibachis I’ve been too. The sauce the vegetables were in was so salty which made it almost inedible. The fried rice was just decent. My friends and I did get 4 sushi rolls and all of these tasted very good which made at least one positive. I’m not from the area but visit my friends who live here often. I can’t see myself going back for hibachi but maybe sushi. However since there’s so much competition on Main Street it might not be worth a repeat.
