First time visit and what an absolute treat. There are not many«perfect» meals that come to recent memory, but this will be added quickly to the list! We live in the Warwick area and driven past a number of times. I’m so glad we chose this place this evening! Nime chow, so delicious. Salad with ginger dressing, perfect portion to get your appetite rolling. We chose the sushi and sashimi dinner for 3(for our party of 3) which to our surprise gets delivered to you on a boat! Absolute beautiful presentation, quality and taste were spot on. Some reviews mentioned poor service, but we found quite the opposite! Our server was friendly and personable, making some excellent recommendations. We were greeted by the owner, I believe, who checked in on us while dining and wished us a pleasant evening upon leaving. We dine out probably twice a month and like to try new places and new foods, but Wasabi is definitely some place we will revisit! Don’t miss out on this hidden gem!!!

Delicious sushi and one of my favorite lunch spots. They offer an amazing 50% off discount weekdays and Sunday around lunchtime. If the staff were more welcoming and friendly I would’ve given it that one extra star!

Terrible customer service really keeps this place from reaching its potential. The food here is absolutely delicious. While the sushi is half-off and seems to be everyone’s favorite, there are other great dishes on the menu. Nevertheless, some sushi rolls are so good they’re almost decadent. The atmosphere is nice although it’s unnerving that the place always seems empty either because it is or because people are sitting in the private booths. The service is terrible! I have never encountered such aloof waitstaff. Do not expect them to ask if you need anything, if the food is good or be much help with the menu. It really tainted my entire experience the first time I came here on my own. I was not sure if they were treating me badly in particular because I was young, or because I had my books with me so they could tell I was a student, or because I was black and they thought I was not going to tip well. I observed their interaction with everyone else and realized they were just shitty servers. Now I just expect them to be terrible. The food is too good not to come back if you are in the neighborhood. Plus, you don’t have to force yourself to be friendly if you are having a bad day.

Running errands on a Saturday, my boyfriend and I decided to stop here for some grub. What a cute place!!! Authentic music, crazy bamboo plants, this place has the perfect vibe. Food was delicious, the service was excellent. Overall we had a great experience. Try the dynamite roll. It was excellent.

My wife and I always enjoy coming here. The rolls and hibachi are very tasty and the service is good.

This place is great for the sushi happy hour. Best deal around. I got the pirate roll, fire dragon roll, and a California roll. The sushi was good and arrived quickly. The service leaves something to be desired. The waitress never came back to ask me how anything was after bringing the order and then dropped off the check without asking if I wanted dessert or anything else. Unacceptable. The place was mostly empty.

Sushi was good, and so was the plum wine. Service was very good. The presentation on some of their rolls was nice. The sushi menu was kind of blah. Everything was tuna with not much of a variety. I was expecting a larger menu. Seating and décor were very nice. A good place to go…

I ordered a special roll and a Chicken basil(Thai style). Both very delicious but the chicken dish was mainly onions and peppers. Very little chicken…

This is our ‘go-to’ place for sushi! Don’t shy away from the odd location, which is tucked away off to the side of the parking lot. We mostly go on Sunday afternoons because it’s half-off! The rolls are pretty large, for the exception of the vegetable rolls– you’ll need to order a few of those. The sweet potato roll is phenomenal and it comes out still hot and crunchy in the middle. The service is nothing to look forward to but you don’t care because you’re eating sushi, a lot of sushi, at a reasonable cost.

I would avoid at all costs. There was not one aspect of my meal that was satisfying. I’ll explain. I went with my girlfriend as we were excited that this place has some good reviews. We ordered a good variety of food(Crab Rangoons, C11– which was fried rice, spring roll, and General Tsos Chicken. We also got a spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon, perfect Roll, and a avocado roll from the sushi menu.) The crab Rangoons started us off and we were disappointed. They were really sweet and the filling was an tasted like frosting. I’m not sure if the oil got in there and did something to it, but I’ve never had crab Rangoon filling like this anywhere and I did not enjoy it. Next we got out sushi and it was not good at all. The flavor was not good and the rolls were not constructed well. When it comes to filling I was extremely disappointed in both spicy rolls. The spicy tuna in particular had next to no filling(I’ll add a picture) which is ridiculous. Finally we got what was called general Tsos chicken. It was worse then mall Chinese food in my opinion. It looked and tasted like they just took the chicken fingers and put some of the sauce over them. Both the rice and chicken were luke warm which to me says that they were either prepared and sat a while before we got them or it was all made in bulk hours before and just scooped onto the plate. On top of that the 4 – 5 pieces of broccoli that came with it was wet and cold which really turned us off. The rice that came with the dish had way too much pepper in it. Like I mentioned before I would NOT recommend this place to anyone and really wish I could get this meal back.

This is one of my favorite spots in the area for sushi — and I have been to many of them. The reception is a bit cold — I actually think it might be the owner’s wife(yikes). She is the hostess and seems a bit rude, never smiles, and never greets. But just ignore it. The waitresses are great and fast. The food is amazing. I would go there any day but on Sundays sushi is 50% off. The secret is out and the place fills up quickly these days. The fish is so fresh is melts in your mouth. The quality and presentation is never compromised. I would go there any day, any time. It is a gem! They have a ton of «non-sushi» options so I want to be careful not to peg it as a sushi place only. I just happen to love sushi. This place is awesome for functions and dates. They have private booths behind a curtain — very cute and romantic. They also have private rooms for big groups. Both very practical and charming. I recommend the BBQ Calamari appetizer, Valentine Roll(my favorite, give it a chance), Spicy Crunch Roll(your choice of tuna or salmon), Shrimp Tempura Roll, Spider Roll and Godzilla Roll. Not a fan of Naruto Roll(matter of preference, still creative and beautiful), would pass on Kani salad here(also matter of preference).

Love the sushi at Wasabi! Definitely some of the best in the area. We usually go on Sundays — the sushi is half priced between 1 – 5.

Great sushi for the price! Every so often I will order sushi to go from here and it’s good! The fire dragon roll is great. During certina times of the day(usually lunch time) they have half off sushi specials which is amazing. Recently I went there and a roll I ordered was excluded from the half off. I wish I had known that, I would have ordered something different. Regardless if you’re looking for a place for quick inexpensive sushi in the area, This is your place! There are Better sushi places that are not too far from here that I would probably choose over wasabi, but overall a good place.

The waitresses here used to be very unfriendly but they’ve gotten much better over the years! My go to place for lunch or dinner! I love the peach mojitos and the Manhattan Roll is a MUST

I’ve never had a bad experience here. They have a great daily lunch special where all rolls and sushi are half off, so you can definitely get your fill of sushi if you go during lunch. It’s in a depressing strip mall but don’t let that dissuade you from going as the inside is really beautiful with private booth areas if you’re with a group of friends. Check it out!

I’ve been here a handful of times and have never been impressed with the food. I’ve tried the vegetarian maki rolls and they are pretty bland. The appetizers were not very impressive either — the spring roll was both soggy and super greasy at the same time and the thick cubes of unseasoned tofu were warmed up, but not really cooked. There are a few redeeming qualities: clean, friendly staff, value and specialty rolls(if you are a carnivore). That said, I probably won’t be back until they have more interesting veggie maki rolls.

No complaints. I don’t know why I don’t come here more often. Come by for the happy hour and get half price sushi. (Check out the website for the days and hours.) Join the email list and David sends out coupons regularly with a list of new specials. If you come in enough and get familiar with the right people you get a VIP card and get a discount. Try the fire dragon roll. Crab rangoons are tasty too.

Went to Wasabi last month and tonight. I started writing a review after our previous visit and just getting around to completing it — so you’re getting a 2-for-1 here. Hubby and I love the booth and curtain seating. It’s cozy and intimate. The service was lovely — both visits. Yes, both servers were engaging and attentive. For starters on both visits we had: nim chow Sweetheart Salad for 2 miso soup house salad On my March visit I had the Snow Ball Roll as it had the words«Highly Recommended» written above the picture in the menu. I ate it but I really didn’t care for it. It had tempura which left me feeling too full after just the first bite. On this visit, I ordered the Dragon Ball as I did not want anything with tempura or soy wrappers. It was a home run! I loved the thin sliced avocado(just like in the sweetheart salad), the ginger sauce, and the dragon sauce(in the shape of a dragon on my plate. Hubby had to help me finish eating it. Each visit, my hubby has ordered hibachi combination chicken and scallops with vegetables(but no peppers or onions) and«less oil.» The chef was very accommodating to this request. I think we’ll have to come back very soon when I start craving those wonderful Asian flavors again.
