I visited the other night with a new-in-town-friend who has only experienced two other popular sushi spots located in Cranston and East Providence. We were convinced that we deserve to indulge in sushi a day after an unexpected and particularly soggy snowstorm. I thought why not give this place a shot? I live so close that I would like so very much to like it. Off we went at dinner. Busy enough. Service is fast and friendly, drink prices are all right– I enjoyed the samurai. We settled down and pored over the sushi menu, as well as discreetly eyed dishes being served to other tables. We decided on agedashi tofu for starters, then excitedly ordered Best of the Best(whoa) and Dragon Rolls. We also decided to get a Tempura-Calamari Bento box, swearing we will move on to other items under sushi and rolls as we finish dishes. The agedashi was scrumptious. and light, topped off with seaweed strips and some bonito flakes. Promising. Sadly, the excitement was short-lived. A small platter with a few pieces of ordinary looking rolls arrived. We thought it may have been a mistake. Surely, «Best of the Best» should look awesome… extra appetizing… creative? Nah. It was just an average looking roll with tempura inside, a little crab on the outside, cut into the usual pieces. Tried it; same verdict. Underwhelming. We ate the rest of the food, satiated enough but not really impressed. While this is a decent spot for sushi, good service, extensive menu, it was nothing out of the ordinary. We left with a unanimous«not-rushing-to-goback» feeling.

Food was very good. Service was lousy and I think this might stop me from going back again. The waitress brought the check over before we ever had the chance to order dessert. I could see if they were busy and needed the seating. We were not drinking alcohol and I see this at times were they do not think the tip will be good as the bill is much lower for non drinkers Please train your wait staff on proper etiquette.

came here for dinner with friends food salad-good, sauce was great i got a volcano roll which we shared. it was good i got the shrimp from the grill. hibachi is more about entertainment when they are cutting and serving etc. i never feel blown away by the food. this place was no difference. service our cook/hibachi chef was… interesting. he seemed to take a special interest in our of friends, asking her to ‘open her sexy mouth’. the first time it was kind of funny, but he kept repeating it. it was really weird, we were seated with a family with kids so im sure it was uncomfortable for them too the host and waitresses were good. they did a sake bomb with me which was free ambiance clean, no issues overall good, glad i tried it.

Ordered a Tito’s and soda water, it tasted horrible. When I told the bartender something was wrong with it, I was told I don’t know what I’m talking about. Well it’s a pretty simple cocktail, and the only thing I drink… So, try again. Extremely rude staff, clearly don’t consider hospitality or customer service as a priority. Needed to ask for a manager roughly 10 times, and when he finally came he was just as rude and not helpful. Was forced to pay full price for one sip of a faulty drink. Will never go back. Save yourself the hassle and drive the extra 5 minutes to Shogun.

Great food. Great Service. Never had the alcohol, so can’t give my opinion on that. Been around 5 times, and never had any complaints with anything. Looking forward to go again.

Really amazing food. My first time here and I was amazing by the quality and portions. Fun cute little ambiance and fair prices for a Japanese steakhouse. Will definitely be back!

The sangria is Great. Sushi is good for the price. Service is less than stellar. Been multiple times and there is only one good waiter.

Had a wonderful time initially when I first went there and every time since. Food is great and the prices are very good. The food is definitely worth more than the price. Wonderful atmosphere and good waitstaff. The interior décor is very nice and the entire place is very clean. I’m starting to become a regular and its worth it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, even those not into seafood.(Hint: try out the beef teriyaki dinner) you can’t go wrong.

What a great Japanese restaurant. I come for the Mai Tais but come back for the menu. Jay and his staff are very friendly and the sushi fish is fresh every time. The hibachi atmosphere is also a great environment. This restaurant really is a hidden gem in Warwick.

What??? I have never reviewed Mizu! What a pity ! The real pity being I am no longer walking distance from this spot. I love everything about it! From the décor to the ambience to patio to the hibachi chefs to the sushi! Everything about it makes me happy. I am a sucker for hibachi but its hard for me not to get eel when i go somewhere there is sushi so its always my starter and they also bring you an abundance of foods before the hibachi even begins! Which rocks! Especially since I liked to go often when I was super pregnant! I highly recommend getting eel if you dig sushi and the green tea fried ice cream. The only times I have left disapointed is when I forgot my leftovers at the restaurant!

The hibachi was absolutely amazing! Chef was extremely entertaining. My date had the steak and scallops and he was in heaven, I had the chicken and salmon and was so delighted by all the flavor a. The side of noodles is definitely worth getting as you don’t want to miss out on the fried rice. We also had the sushi sampler as an appetizer and I was super impressed at how fresh and light the fish was. Absolutely excellent. They brought out a dish of ice cream for my dates birthday and gave us a $ 5 off coupon for our next visit. We will have no trouble making our way back there again.

What an unexpected delight! I drive by this place daily and only just indulged in a lunch time sushi date. I love the décor, the staff was friendly and the sushi was very nicely done. I had pad Thai(because I think I have a secret pad Thai addiction) and it was a tad on the spicy side but otherwise delicious and the portion was plentiful. We plan on returning for the hibachi soon!

What can I say, my husband and I love this place, the miso soup is so delicious! The sushi is always top notch, and we have never had a bad meal here. The restaurant is impeccably clean. Yesterday I tried on of their signature rolls, the Mizu Dragon Roll, which by far is the most excellent dish I have ever received. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday. We ended up trying the hibachi, which we usually skip because, let’s face it! Hibachi is all the same. However, the experience can change depending on who you’re with. It was just Rach and I with some fellow strangers. It was early dinner because we wanted to beat the rush. Our neighbors were super friendly, making for a fun experience. We ended up both getting the surf and turf steak/lobster hibachi. It was good, but not the greatest. But again, we weren’t really here for the hibachi… Sushi!!! We’re obsessed. We go just to go and then every excuse, ie. birthdays. The rolls were pretty good. But honestly? Not exactly memorable. I mean, I got the eel and avocado roll because I HAVE to order eel every time. It was delicious. The other rolls were good and Rach said the white tuna was like butta! Whatever that means… I’m so sorry guys I’m usually so good at keeping track of the rolls so that peeps can know exactly what we ate. We had: White tuna and unagi nigiri, the Amazing Tuna roll, Eel roll, Ocean roll… And I cannot for the life of me remember the other(middle) one. So sorry! We also got the scorpion bowl. They didn’t skimp on the alcohol that’s for sure. Spacious, clean and a private parking lot. Our waiter was super sweet, fun and attentive. The owner was really nice too. I had went in really early on an off day to buy the gift certificate to surprise Rachael with. He sold it to me and we chatted a bit. Very friendly.
