Those that say this is beyond good you should really explore more for better places to eat at a reasonable price. This place is OK but the prices make it not OK. I’m not a cheap skate I just don’t like getting ripped off. Drive to watts and eat at Hawkins burgers. Then you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Without a doubt, one of the best places I’ve ever, ever had the experience of eating at. The food alone is something to boast about, but the atmosphere and the staff are really what keep the place amazing. The food is delicious. It’s a hefty serving and is enough to be shared among many people. I’d suggest bringing someone to share it with if you’re not a big eater. The whole pick what you want in your burgers and fries is such a good draw; it gets the idea of a «picky» eater done right. Honestly, as soon as you get the food, it is delicious. Your mouth’ll be watering even as you eat it! The staff and the atmosphere were fantastic. The staff makes you feel welcomed from the moment you get in. They know how to keep customers happy and they know how to make you feel as though they care. Many restaurants could learn from them! Overall? Good food and good people? Definitely. I’m a big fan.

I would give this place 3 ½ stars. The wait sucked. We waited almost 40min for our food. Luckily we charged our phones before we left the house. The atmosphere is casual. They keep the soda fountain in the kitchen and its kinda awkward. They can’t see if your cup is low cause they give out paper cups and you can’t see through them. So you gotta catch one of the guys attention to get a refill.(My bf drinks a lot when eating) the zombie fries were ok. I would give them 3stars. They’re potato wedges lathered in condiments and its got so much going on you can’t enjoy all the flavors. The burger was dry, super salty and the bun didn’t taste fresh. If I come again I want my burger rare, I forgot to ask in the beginning. The raw onion was cut too thick. My burger was not«juicy». I was kind of disapointed about that. The seating is limited and we were left standing a good 20min before a table freed up. The music was nice but there’s like a 5 second gap between songs and it’s kinda awkward cause everyone goes quiet lol. The staff was friendly and inviting. Overall I’d say I’ll be back for the fries not the salty dry burger and bun.

Came here during lunch on a Sunday and I was surprised it wasn’t busy at all because most of the reviews on here mentioned long waits. Ordered the cheesesteak and zombie fries. The prices on the pictures of menus on here is old. I went in to expect $ 10 on a regular size cheesesteak and $ 9 for zombie fries. Apparently they changed it up and you can’t choose the size of the cheesesteak. I payed $ 15 for the cheesesteak and $ 10 for the zombie fries. The cheesesteak didn’t taste amazing. It was lacking flavor and I was fairly disappointed. $ 15 for a cheesesteak that tasted like a $ 6 quality one. The reason I gave this place 4 stars was because of the bottled water they give you when you ask for water(which they don’t charge you for) and the zombie fries. The zombie fries are so good. I would skip out on the cheesesteak and just go straight for the zombie fries. The bacon that I got with it was so thick and they weren’t greedy with it. Just order the zombie fries. Like Nike, just do it.

Man did this place leave an impression on me. I was not expecting an experience like this. Went to Café Cola for lunch on Saturday with my friend who has been here multiple times. I thought it was just another burger joint, but I was wrong. From the look of the exterior, you would think this place is just another cheap fast food restaurant. The looks of this place are so deceiving. You walk in only to be greeted by multiple employees. The menu is simple: a burger, a chicken sandwich, or a cheesesteak. You choose the size, and then 3 categories of endless toppings, cheeses and condiments. I got the cheesesteak($ 11) with caramelized onions, bell peppers, ketchup, mustard, sriracha, a whole egg, bacon, and honestly can’t remember what else. I love that you can get however much you want for a fixed price. That’s the mark of a true restaurant owner that works FOR the people. Also ordered the zombie fries($ 9) with equally as much stuff on top as my cheesesteak. The cashier was very nice and patient. in fact, he was so nice he gave me a bottle of water even though I just asked for regular water. That’s another plus. The wait was a little longer than expected, about 15 – 17 min, with about 3 parties ahead of me. But I understand they make their food fresh to order. Now for the food. I was going to give CC a straight up 5, but I had to take it down a notch because of one thing: FLAVOR. I say this all the time, but flavor is the thing I look for in any restaurant. That being said, CC has a small problem with flavor. Sure you stack on various types of toppings and sauces, but does that automatically result in flavor in every bite? Do the flavors mesh well? These are things both the cook and YOU have to think about before you just pile on everything and expect it to taste good. In my cheesesteak, the only flavors that stood out was from the banana peppers and oh-so-runny egg(which was my favorite part). I was expecting the steak to be loaded with flavor from some kind of seasoning or in-house marinade, but I was left dissatisfied. This is what happens when you take a bunch of ingredients and pile them into something like a sandwich. Fat Sal’s suffers from a way worse version of this problem; Fat Sal’s just doesn’t have any flavor. At least Café Cola has flavor, but it’s just not consistent nor strong. Their fries are delicious though. They cut them in wedges, so it’s kind of like eating home fries. Alas, Café Cola wins in so many ways. The service is top notch. Everyone says hello and makes sure they say bye(with names if they remember them). You walk in to the place and immediately hear Bob Marley playing on a vinyl player. My friend says this is the place owned and made for potheads. I definitely see the appeal. I’m definitely coming back, perhaps in an altered state.

4⁄5 for the customer service The guy who helped put was super helpful and was patient with our indecisive selves. 1⁄5 for the wait time There were only like 2 people ahead of us and it took us an hour to get our food. My boyfriend was so excited to try this place out and the wait time just killed his mood. 4⁄5 for the taste Maybe it is because we had to wait so long for our food but the food was good… not as amazing as the hype made it seem but I was good none the less. I personally enjoyed the zombie fries way more than the cheese steak or the burger. 3⁄5 for the pricing Yeah…the food was good, but I felt that it was a bit pricey… I realize that it is basically unlimited toppings but the portion sizes weren’t as big or as filling as social media made it seem. Overall, my experience was good but it didn’t meet up with my expectations. I will however go back for the zombie fries because those were my favorite out of all the food we tried.

The Philly Cheesesteak was delicious!!! The Zombie Fries were good too, but I would definitely recommend sharing between 2 people if you plan on ordering both. I also like that you can choose all of your own unlimited toppings as well. If you’re looking for a cheat meal, this is definitely worth it!

Been here twice and both times were just as delicious. Menu is small yet still has so much to choose from, it’s something you need to see and experience for yourself. The zombie fries, are just so amazing, well, everything they cook up for you here is off the charts. If your someone who wants to break free from chain restaurants, then come here to café cola and enjoy the best thing to touch your tongue and fill up those bellies. May I suggest on the fries, ribeye with cheddar cheese, mushrooms, caramelized onions, and fried egg with honey mustard and ranch as the sauces.

This was an awesome place to visit. The vibes at this place are very positive. The owner is a really nice guy. Food was very fresh and lived up to the hype. I had the cheesesteak w onions, provolone cheese, and mushrooms. The result: absolute deliciousness. The bread on the cheesesteak was nice and toasty. This place is not your average Jims or Tams. The zombie fries I ordered came with bacon, cheddar, onions, over two fried eggs, and drizzled in ranch, thousand, and barbecue sauce. I really appreciate the make-it –your– way type of ordering as it provides a creative way to try a burger, cheesesteak, or fries. Good Job Café Cola!

Zombie fries are so awesome. They are a full entrée, or shareable if you are a light eater. This place is warm and not like a typical restaurant. They treat you good and feed you good. This is a must try place for foodies and non foodies alike. Their menu is simple and they talk to you like a friend. For those of you that like pictures on your menu, stick to McD’s. This place is great for those who like to try new and exciting things.

After a year coming this place, it has still been my favorite and only place to eat cheesesteaks. The quality of the food is impeccable. Romel(sorry it spelled it wrong) and staff are the best! Yes, their might be a some wait time, but they’re food is delicious! My kids love the zombie fries and every time they come here they always order it; ribeye with provolone cheese, ketchup, and mayo. I am still obsessed with the cheesesteaks and the softness of the bread when it’s glistened with the cheese and meat is unimaginable lol! My order is typically provolone, jalapeños, bacon, grilled onions, and mayo. Simple but super yummy! HIGHLYRECOMMENDEATINGHEREFORTHEIRCHEESESTEAKS!

Found Café Cola on Unilocal when we were looking for a place on our way to the movie theater. It is slightly hidden off to the side of a strip mall across from Covina Tasty. When you walk in, the dining room is very clean with new tables, chairs and booths. There are several new and vintage Coca-Cola signs rounding out the motif. The best part of the ambiance is the record player with a stack of random vinyl cycled through by the staff. It seems that they have quite a bit of Bob Marley(apparently someone donated some old records to the stack from their attic). The food is of a «choose-your-own-adventure» variety. They offer steak sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, burgers and fries with a myriad of toppings to add. There is one flat price(somewhere near $ 12) and you can add as much or as little as you wish. I ended up ordering a chicken sandwich with pepper jack, honey mustard, bell peppers, grilled onions, bacon and pickles. The chicken was really well-flavored and spiced, the honey mustard was mild(I’m not a big fan of honey mustard usually but the worker at the counter recommended it and I was not let down), and the pickles were a little overwhelming(I ended up taking most of them off). My boyfriend ordered a burger with pepper jack, bacon, bbq sauce, onions and some other stuff that I don’t remember ;) and really enjoyed it. We also ordered the Zombie Fries with bacon, pepper jack, mozzarella, caramelized onions, and ketchup. They were… ok. I’m one of those people that is a fan of «squishy» fries. These were cut very thin and which resulted in crunchy. Makes sense if you are adding a ton of toppings that could soak into the potato. Overall quality ingredients, tasty food, great service and ambiance, but a little pricey.

My BF is the biggest café cola fan around. He took me for the second time yesterday and my son came for the first time. The place is a bit hidden in a strip mall, but once you get inside it is clean and cute with a cola theme. The idea of this place is so simple 4 – 5 core menu items… But with super fresh ingredients and the addition of any toppings and sauces… It becomes a choice between 100s of taste sensations. The guys both had burgers, i cant even begin to try to tell you what they had as toppings. I had zombie fries which are a meal in themselves. My toppings were pepper jack, bacon, avocado(not always available), and ranch with buffalo sauce on the side. Perfect combo! What really makes this place great. The owner Romel and the other staff. So friendly, so chill playing their reggae music. And they believe in the product they are selling. I heard a family a couple tables over say it was their first time. One of the staff pulled up a chair, explained the menu to them, and gave his recommendations. It was like a free consultation! This business deserves all of the good word of mouth out there… May they continue to have success!

I LOVE this place. The owners are creative, committed to their vision, amd have created an environment that is warm, friendly, and laid back. Customer service is over the top fantastic! Customers truly come first here and they take good care of you. Now for the food… the first time I dined here, I had a burger. The meat was fresh, tender, cooked perfectly, and served on a lightly toasted brioche bun. Today, I orderd the chicken sandwich and it was da BOMB. COM. Toppings included Muenster cheese, caramelized onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, and a side of sirrachia. Café Cola is now one of my favorite restaurants when visiting Covina.

I wish this place was closer to where I live! The food we ordered was great! I really liked my cheesesteak. One of the better cheesesteak I’ve had :) My favorite was the zombie fries. They don’t limit you on the number of ingredients you can add! The potatoes were also sliced, not cut up like fries. My only complaint was the portion of the food. I know I didn’t order the large cheesesteak, but at about $ 11.00 I was expecting the sandwich to be bigger than the one I got. The zombie fries I can’t complain too much about because they literally let me add whatever I wanted to my fries. I will definitely be back next time even if prices are a little bit on the higher side because the food was good!

Aweeeeesome food being produced by an awesome group of people! Got the cheese steak with grilled onions, bell peppers and chez whiz. Taste was off the charts. My girlfriend got the burger with bacon cheddar and onions. Good lord it was amazing. We shared zombie fries which we added onions, mushrooms, eggs bbq sauce and ranch. We should have stopped half way, because after we were done, we felt like zombies. Kept us both full for 7 – 8 hours. Romel. you and your crew rocks! Keep up the great work brother!

ZOMBIEFRIESWILLBETHEDEATHOFME! I literally passed out for 3 hours in a food induced coma after my epic meal! When you first walk in, you might feel as if you’ve walked into a Hot Topic store. Everyone including the owner wears black, have multiple piercings and tattoos. I mean even the most popular dish is called«Zombie Fries.» On second look the place resembles a 70s café decked out with Cola Cola posters and vintage décor. The owner greeted us with a smile and explained the process of ordering. The process is simple. You can order 5 different types of items — their famous«Zombie Fries»($ 8.95), Smoov Burger(reg $ 8.95 lg $ 11.95), Walsh’s Chicken Sandwich(reg $ 9.95 lg $ 12.95), Cheesesteak(reg $ 10.95 lg $ 13.95), and seasoned fries($ 2.95). If you order the burger, zombie fries, or cheesesteak you also get unlimited choice of ingredients: Cheeses: –Cheddar –Provolone –Mozzarella –Gorgonzola –Pepper Jack –Cheez Whiz –Muenster –Swiss Toppings: –Raw Onions –Grilled Onions –Caramelized Onions –Banana Peppers –Bell Peppers –Minced Garlic –Fried Egg –Pepperoni –Mushrooms –Jalapenos –Pickles –Bacon Sauces: –Ketchup –Mustard –Mayo –BBQ –Pesto –Marinara –Buffalo –Sriracha –Teriyaki –Honey Mustard –Ranch –1000 Island The food takes awhile to come out but it’s definitely worth the wait. Everything is made to order and extremely fresh. My date and I completely devoured an order of the Zombie fries and a large order of the cheesesteak. Our concoction of different toppings and sauces turned out amazing on both. Although, I love the food here I can’t imagine eating here often since the food is extremely heavy and everything looks like a heart attack waiting to happen. But once in awhile we all need to indulge in our gluttony and Café Cola will surely deliver.
