First time eating here with my dad and it was great!
Food: I ordered a 6oz chicken that came with rice and veggies. Absolutely delicious and fresh. My dad got a burger with bacon and blue cheese which he also loved.
Service: Our waiter was awesome! Very nice and perfectly attentive – not too much & not too little.
Atmosphere: Wonderful. I was admiring the layout/​design almost the entire time we were in there.

Here for lunch! Chicken skewers and slaw! Chicken spinach wrap! prime rib grilled cheese were all yummy! Sweet potato fries tooooo! Yummy!

OMG… Why does this restaurant have so many knifes and forks up at the hostess table. So I asked… right after they touch that menu (that everyone’s dirty hands have touched), answer the phone and whatever other job they do. (With no soap and water in sight) They touch your/​my knife and fork and wrap them in a napkin. I should just lick the menu myself and skip a step. What would the health department think about that.
Wow … FYI we did not eat there.

Went for dinner with my husband and our baby girl. We got seated right away and service was great didn’t hear no service complaints from my husband. He likes the service to be on board at all times. He was super happy with the service! We order appetizers and the Thai buffalo wings amazing. We had the salmon dish and it was delicious. Had the smores desert and amazing… that’s if you love chocolate and marshmallows!.We were impressed with the service giving our little one a bowl of French fries and sweet potato fries which it was complementary for her. The place is super clean and so spacious. Next time I would like to sit outdoors hopefully we can get a babysitter so my husband and I can enjoy the evening. We will definitely go again.

1^st Time/​Last Time
I hate to do this, because I want to support local businesses in my neighborhood, but I don’t see myself coming back to city grill anytime soon. Took my family to dinner and my daughter wanted to try this place. Well, we sat down and the waitress took our order. 25 MINUTES LATER, the waitress comes to our table and apologizes because the ORDER WAS NEVER SENT TO THE KITCHEN! Now, I would have understood this mistake if the restaurant was very busy, but there were only 4 tables occupied and they appeared to have more than enough staff to service all of the diners in their establishment. The only positive note would be that the restaurant is designed very well.

Came for lunch with my wife and lil one yesterday. It was out first time. The place is nicely decorated and very welcoming. I like the open space. Defiantly good for family with kids. It is probably it one the more family friendly eatery with nice open space in downtown Covina.
Service: low staff at lunch hour sky but very friendly and attentive.
Food: we had the Califas Burger and City Burger for lunch with sweet potatoes and reg fries. Nice portion and well prepared.
Price: fair in comparison to similar places in Covina.
Overall experience was really good! We will be definitely be back!!!

This is a hidden gem. The restaurant is clean and modern. The staff is very friendly and at your finger tips. I ordered Susan tuna sandwich with sweet potatoes fries. The tuna sandwich was AMAZING! By far the best Ive had. My wife had the spinach wrap and she loved it. I definitely recommend this place and will be back.

Came here for the first time and sat at the patio… Great area! Ordered the chicken skewered and they were AMAZING! Also got the Mac n cheese balls and a custom burger– delish! Service was great, definitely recommend!

I’ve only been here a couple of times for lunch however I think I can safely say 5 stars! The service and ambiance are pleasant and comfortable. Also there is a patio for sunny afternoons.
AND the food! Wow. Everything I’ve had has been wonderful! The steak skewers in their house made chimmichurri is amazig. The sauce is tangy and spicy and flavorful. I want to pour it on everything!

Cute and just off the bustle of Old Town Covina, perfect for our new favorite eats. My husband is working through the meat list. I must say, the short rib grilled cheese sandwich looked like delicious evil. I’ve enjoyed a couple of their whimsical salad offerings. One night I felt a little carbie and had the Mango Chicken Flatbread Pizza. I’ve been hooked ever since.
Every time I go back with the promise to try something else but the damn waiter keeps slipping me this pizza!

The Mac n Cheese balls were delicious, and the service tonight was outstanding. Magali and Warner provided outstanding customer service. This is a hidden gem; great décor with a beautiful patio. This is a MUST TRY!!!

Once again I am not let down had the seafood pasta just delicious. Chef Jason just has a great understanding of flavors. The pasta al dente the seafood fresh and cooked to perfection. My husband had the pasta boulinaise he just loved it once again great pasta and the meat had a nice kick of spice. How do I know you say? I also snuck a bite or three lol.
Love the décor and the great ambiance and our server Hannah just on top of it as always. Will be back again and again… great food… great people… great place… What’s not to like!

Five star for sure. I had the city burger with ailoi on the side. Meat was juicy and very well cooked and the fries are amazing as well. Will for come back

I found a great new restaurant, where the staff is friendly & attentive. The food is well prepared & superb flavorful. The Mac n’ cheese balls with spicy marinara sauce was to die for. Wife had the Califas Burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was huge & so tasty, the sweet potatoes fries were so crispy & the spicy ketchup was actually spicy unlike a lot of places. I had the seafood pasta which smelled as great of it tasted. No room for dessert, so can’t wait to go back & try some of the other items. Met the owner Mrs. Moreno who is also the owner of Casa Moreno, right around the corner & a great place to go for Mexican food. City Grill is a MUST go to for great food, relax atmosphere & wonderful service

Went here last night with a few friends. Great atmosphere and staff were nice, the chef even came out to see how we were doing and such. Definitely a nice spot to chill and drink some craft beer and enjoy some good food. It’s next to the city hall in Covina so parking isn’t to our bad here.

First Time visit and it was great!
Set on College St where not much goes on. Weird considering Citrus is so busy.
Went during 4:30, a lot of downtime, server met and sat us right away.
Service expectancy was Met. We were constantly being waited on.
The cool thing was that the chef came by to ask us how our food was, which you don’t get often! My boyfriend got the only burger with the egg in it, and they cooked it with the bottom of the egg cooked but still poppable for yolk (if that makes sense??)
I definitely recommend their food, there’s a lot more to see. They have a daily Happy Hour and that happy hour becomes an all day thing for Saturday’s so don’t miss out.
It’s also affordable and can cost as much as a red robin burger – If you’d like to compare prices.

Great new spot for Downtown Covina. Definitely worth walking a block or so east of Citrus to check it out.
The place is well-​appointed and comfy without being too obnoxious or trendy. Seems like a great place for after-​work drinks, a dinner date, or to catch a game. Service was prompt and attentive. I can recommend the artichoke dip, and the burgers were hearty and fresh. Check the pics, the burgers are as good as they look. Wound it up with the bread pudding bites, which were awesome– like churros but extra crispy on the outside and extra soft on the inside. Get them à la mode– OUTRAGEOUS.
Long story short, definitely coming back because I have to try the filet skewers. This place seems like another step towards making DTC a go-​to spot.
Edit: There’s way more to Citygrill than burgers but I always try the basics first when hitting up a new place. Will update/​tip when I try more…

Brand new place and I was excited to try it.
The décor is great and it has a great vibe. I’d give that a 5 stars. The place was freezing and after I asked them, they did turn up the thermostat. The Red Pepper Hummus and Pita was very good, as was the side salad with Blue Cheese dressing. My wife had Mango Vinaigrette and she really liked it.
I ordered Salmon and it was really good, although the baby carrots were like sticks of wood, way too undercooked for my liking, and they didn’t have a lot of flavor.
My wife ordered Shrimp Pasta and said it was good, but not fantastic.
Service was very attentive, they always noticed when my Arnold Palmer was nearly empty!
We split a Raspberry Streusel for desert, and my wife, who loves to bake, thought it was very good. I’m more of an Apple Pie guy, but I liked it.
I will definitely return.

I was so excited to try this place out because I live down the street. So here’s a breakdown on my experience.
Tried the Mac and cheese ball and had to send it back because it was cold on the inside. The chef personally came to our table and apologize about the cold Mac and cheese.
Had the bleu cheese burger and it was amazing!
My husband had the tri tip and it was ok it was a bit dry.
Saw a full list of dessert and they only had two items on the list. So we skipped out on dessert.
Four stars for service and burger
Two stars for the tri tip and cold Mac and cheese balls and limited dessert
Will come back for the burger only!
