Delicious pupusas! I also tried the platanos with cream! Hit the spot. Go support this family restaurant!

Stumbled across this place when we went for a Saturday morning drive; found this place looking to get some real good breakfast. When we talked to the husband and wife we found out that they’re the new owner’s for this restaurant and took over about 3 months ago. They are a really sweet couple. They make excellent Mexican Salvadorian food, even though they’re not Salvadorian the wife has mastered the art of pupusas and the food is cooked when ordered nothing is heated in a microwave. Excellent service, great family restaurant and totally worth the 40 minute drive for us. Actually writing this on our way there NOW!

Recently ordered pupusas from here and was disappointed to find out it was under new ownership but nevertheless still gave it a shot even after the price increases. Eating our pupusas I was very upset with the taste of them. Not worth the price he last owners really did put the authentic touch to the food now it tastes like disappointment. Don’t bother coming here poor service ghetto kids working the front. Make the trip to roxys on Alosta. Won’t be coming back here.

FYI new owners! I called for a pickup family special order($ 20⁄12 pupusas) when I got there the woman advised me in Spanish that the prices have gone up to $ 25 in a rather rude manner that can’t be translated into English. I said ok because what else was I to do the food was already done and I had a hungry family waiting at home. The portions are smaller, they taste different, the salsa spilled inside the takeout bag and the curtido was really tiny. All that along with a price raise? Yeah, no wont be going back!

Wow! Just like eating at a friends house. Pupusas are fantastic. Try the green salsa with Curtido on your pupusas. Next time I want to try their mole. Can’t wait to come back. Best part is the service. This place has great service.

Great food and great service! It’s hard to find a place that has chicken menudo and they are friendly enough to make it. The pupusas are big and filled with cheese and delicious meats. I recommend trying this place if you want a good Salvadorian and Mexican food experience.

Wow, food and service is AMAZING! I typically don’t take the time to leave reviews, but this place has the best home-cooked feel in the San Gabriel Valley. Since I don’t have time to cook, I usually eat out. But I’m tired of greasy fast food with artificial flavor and high prices… junk. So I’m sooo glad I found this hidden gem. I pre-order food during the week and Monica, the chef, is just awesome, always making sure everything is ready by the time I arrive. From what I heard, this restaurant was previously opened with the same name, but recently re-opened under new management. Monica simply has the gift of cooking. I can tell this is her passion. She once told me, «I love to cook good food, the same I would do for my own children». Seriously, this place is so amazing! Today I had the best chicken in chipotle cream ever!!!

Great little spot to eat! Their cheese and chicken pupusas are my favorite. It’s only cash basis so bring cash.

These are the best pupusas I have had so far!!! I went with my mother on a friday for lunch and we both asked for the revueltas and they were amazing! They were fresh from the grill and not at all greasy. Also you could taste the meat and beans, most other pupusas restaurants all you’ll get is masa with greasy cheese. Since that friday I’ve ordered the family special at least once a month to share with my family and have not been disappointed. Great food at a great price!!!

Yum! Loving the curtido, people are friendly, the food is outstanding. It is nice not having to run into L.A. for one of my favorites. Great prices, can’t wait to bring my son with me.

I’m liking Pupusas Y Mas very much. This is very much a homey place. I’ve eaten the frisbee-sized dripping-with-grease pupusas at other Salavdoran restaurants, and they have their place(on my waist mainly) but seriously, this is NOT that place. This place is more like your sweet little Tia Rosita from El Salvador came to your house and made you some pupusas, curtido, and fresh salsa for lunch. So the pupusa was a little less salty, less oily, smaller in general but more tender than most. I had the yucca frita too and that was delicious. Not a fan of the fried pork– chicharrones– but I’m not a fan in general of that dish anyway. Curtido was not spicy, less vinegary too. not sure if there was oregano in it or not– maybe not now that I am thinking about it. The flavors are a bit shy, they could do with a bolder profile. But the textures and fresh factor were all there. The salsas on the side were very yum– especially the green and the hot red salsa. The ladies are very nice and everything was fresh. There’s one in the back cooking. The 19.99 family price is a great deal– 12 pupusas, and accoutrements. It is rated A, the hours are NOT the ones listed on Unilocal(see picture). Call ahead of time to order and it will be ready when you get there. I’ll be back.

Went on a Sunday and ordered it to go. The place has no A/C which made it a bit uncomfortable since it took a lot longer than I thought it would. They live up to their name, and at the same time they don’t. They have a wide variety of pupusas, but not much else despite having ‘y mas’ in their name. So why 4 stars? The food was pretty good! I was actually surprised and afterward didn’t mind having to wait a while to get my order. Maybe I’ll order them ahead of time next time so my wait won’t be so long. Again, good little find to satisfy my pupusas fix.

I wanted to like this place. It’s a tiny little spot and I always root for and make an effort to support small business. The pupusas were bland. Didn’t care for them at all. Very skimpy on the filling. What really made this place a low scorer for me was the spoiled curtido and salsa roja that they gave me. When I got home and opened it up I almost barfed. I threw all the food out. Total waste of time and money. Not worth another try in my book.

Had a serious craving for pupusas, only my usual place is in LA so I just thought I’d give this place a try since it had one good review. And at 1.69 a piece on Thursdays why not?! The place was pretty clean which is always a plus for me. The lady who took my order was very nice and spoke English very well. I ordered the pork and cheese pupusa which was good, I’ve definitely had better though. And I gave the cheese and veggie a try since I’ve never had one before, it was okay, but wouldn’t buy it again. The salsa and cabbage that pupusas normally come with was pretty tasty! I’m basically giving 3 stars because I was glad it was a clean place and the service was good. If I need a pupusa fix and can’t get to my normal place this will do.
