The food is good, but the television at full-blast all the times I have been there is very annoying!!

Wish I didn’t have to give this place a star. Came here with my pregnant wife because she’s been craving empanadas. We found this restaurant because of this app and noticed their promotion of two free empanadas. We came in excited to try out this place and as soon as we came in, we felt a bad vibe from the older guy at the counter. It’s a hot day and with no AC, it’s understandable to be grumpy… Said never by a successful business. My wife ordered a cheese arepa and I ordered the empanadas. Was disappointed to find out they only had pork meat. So we only ordered four so we don’t get too full and we can fit in our meal. When the arepa came out, it was bit too burnt at the bottom for her liking, so she gave it to me. Once our empanadas came out the guy only brought out one napkin, one set of utensils and one glass of water! If there are two people at a table it’s common sense to bring out two of everything. Went up to pay and the older guy who I assume was the owner was extremely rude about not accepting this deal and then not letting me pay with my card. There was no sign anywhere in the restaurant about only accepting cash. Luckily I had cash in my car… Overall horrible experience. Never coming here again. Would not recommend!

This place is so so. The empanadas are good but i ordered a bandeja paisa and the sweet plantains were hard and not sweet at all, the beans are pinto beans and were much too salty, they should use kidney beans instead which taste more like the colombian cargamanto beans. I also ordered a dessert called dulce de nata which is like a milk custard and instead they gave me a slice of mozzarella cheese with arequipe(browned sweetened milk). I thought that was odd.

This place is amazing. Sure it’s tiny and a bit stuffy but it feels like home, and the food is outstanding. I personally recommend their empanadas, I usually order at least 5 or 6 whenever I visit!

My favorite part about Peppe’s Pollo are the Pan De Bonos. When you get them warm and fresh, they are absolutely one of the best bread experiences I have ever had. I mean really, how can you go wrong with bread and cheese? The owner is such a nice man. Doesn’t speak a lot of english but can sort of navigate you through whatever it is that you want to order. I tried their Bandeja Paisa and it was good. I am not sure if its absolutely authentic as I am not Colombian. Nor have i brought any of my Colombian friends here so I still would not know. I have been looking at their menu though and next on my list is the seafood rice with spanish sauce. that looks really good from the pictures and the menu.

After wanting to try this particular restaurant and Colombian food in general for a good while, I finally had both chances this past saturday. For a beginning Colombian dish, I had the grilled chicken along with beans, fries(which had to be a substitute for rice because of no longer being served), lettuce, a tomato, and tortillas(which was a surprise too). All I can say is, the food and the service were good and I plan to eat here again in the future too. And on a future visit, I plan to eat Bandeja Paisa which is the desired Colombian dish I want to eat.

Out of 5 Colombian restaurants I have been to, peppes is the only one who has best tasting food. Let’s start with their pan de Bono. They are baked fresh every day and they never disappoint, the texture is perfect with the combination of masa and cheese! Their empanadas have a perfectly fried crust that gives you the unique crunch, never disappoints. I’ve been a loyal customer for over 20 years! I can’t ever see anyone beating this restaurant!

First time coming to Peppe’s pollo. I must say i’m intrigued by the idea of trying Colombian Food. Started off with the empanadas i wasn’t excepting them to be crunchy but it was a delicious surprise. Next on to the fritanga feed 3 .it was AWESOME. if youre tired of mexican food and run of the mill food chains definitely stop by .you wont be disappointed.

Chill local spot. Eating here for the first time I thought to myself, «mann, I been missing out for all these years. The price is cheaper than a el pollo loco and the portions are healthier(as in more). If you looking for some home cooking try this spot. Half chicken dinner rules all here.

Me encanta este lugar! Translation: I like this place a a lot! Try the empanadas and don’t let the name fool you. It’s not just a chicken place, it is an authentic Colombian restaurant. Small menu but great food and service. Family owned. :)
