Ok show up since 11:30am because that’s the time they open on Saturdays & they’re not open. Seems like they don’t want to wake up to the expectations they raised for the business. I would suggest to come around 1 or 2. Not to mention false advertisement saying they open @11:30am on Saturday & I’ve now been here since 11:45

We have used Ribs to Spare on three different occasions to cater our functions, not only were we very satisfied with our selection of food from Ribs to Spare but our guess were also impressed with the food from Ribs to Spare. Also it’s a great place to pick up lunch or diner for the day, don’t forget to pick up their sides also. Looking forward to our next BBQ from Ribs to Spare.

My husbands office close so he brought home a full slab of pork ribs and potato salad and corn muffins. Very pricey for take out about $ 35. We both hated the ribs. Fatty and sauce was sour tasting Potato salad not tasty and corn muffins dry. We threw much away. I am from the south so bbq is big there. Do not recommend and would never go back.

We were looking for some good old fashion bbq. They have a delicious bbq sauce. I got the pork baby back ribs and it was delish! The mac n cheese is really good, it pairs up well with the ribs. We were in a food coma after dinner! It’s nice to find a hidden spot. Check it out for some good BBQ

Ugh! What can I saw, we all had a stomachache after we ate it, ribs taste like they were booked and then thrown on the now which takes away from the flavor. Brisket was ok, nothing to brag about. Will not be back.

I ate here once and I was trying to feed about 5 guys and was not about to cook so I called and they lady who answered was so nice she told me what family special to feed them and worked out great. I picked it up and everyone was very nice. My people loved it. I would definitely come back again.

Yummy. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Chili was amazing and my rib tips were tender and juicy. Not one burnt tip in my basket of goodness

Listen up… I waited to try out this place for a year and boy the rib tips and one side combo for $ 5.50 is a DEAL! Lots of bbq joints charge up the kazoo for mediocre smoked meat but this place is the place to go and enjoy bbq. The sauce has the sweet and tangy flavor. What you waiting for… lets go eat some ribs!

Beef rib combo with tri tip as the additional meat. Had baked beans and mac and cheese with two cornbread muffins added. Food was bomb! Meat was tender, macaroni was delicious as well as the beans. I’ve had this place twice and there will be many more visits in the future. Finger lickin good

I for one think these guys are AWESOME! The pork ribs were so tender and the tri-tip sauce was outta this world! The owners are totally personable and I enjoyed shooting the breeze with them. I sampled most of the sides and they were tremendous. The absolute BEST collard greens I’ve ever had! All the sides are homemade and they were all delish. The meat is smoked and fully prepared on site. It’s not cheap but it’s not expensive either. Especially taking into account the quality and taste of the food. They do mostly take out and catering but I ate in the restaurant. What they lack in décor they overwhelming supply in great tasty barbeque! Don’t get me wrong, the dining are is clean and there’s nothing wrong with it… just don’t expect a fancy sit down restaraunt. Seriously…if I could give Ribs to Spare a 6 out of 5. I own a mattress store not far from the restaraunt so I’ll be recommeding and visiting often. Maybe even going today!

The barbecue beef ribs are pretty good but I would say three out of five stars. One was slightly dry, the other one was decent. The beans were OK but nothing special. My wife hated the macaroni and cheese although I thought it was good yet nothing special. My wife says that it was not cheesy at all. It took about 25 minutes from the time I paid to receive two combo meals. So I suggest you call in your orders or fax them or even email them prior to coming in. One order which was a single pork rib plate with two sides. They messed up one of the sides and gave us beans instead of coleslaw. The other one was a BBQ beef rib plate with two sides and this one came out correct. However the rib taste was nothing too spectacular. The bread was cool but did not taste like it was freshly baked. Seems more like it came out of one of those Hawaiian bread packages you can get from the supermarket. The inside of the store is very small. It’s kind of like a Domino’s Pizza pick up area. They did have two tables but I wouldn’t really sit down to eat over there. Overall it’s a little bit too much money for the satisfaction that you’ll get. In conclusion my wife would not go back therefore I’m probably not going to go back either. What I can say positively is that the lady at the front, who seem to be the owner, was pretty nice.

Awesome hole in the wall BBQ, complete with smoker right out front! Tried out some pulled pork Sammies with hot BBQ sauce. So good, sweet and spicy! Potato salad, beans and coleslaw were also on point! Wish we could have saved room for some fresh peach cobbler. Next time. We will be back!

First time trying this place.(see date). Mixed feelings. I had the 3 meat combo. 2 Ribs, 2 pieces of chicken and 1 hot link. $ 20!!! Whoever said in their review you could feed 2 – 3 people with a 2 meat combo LIED! I ate a leg, 1 rib and a few pieces of hot link, in hopes that the rest would /could feed the 2(small) kids at home. NOPE. I Would have appreciated if THEYASKED if I wanted DARK or WHITE meat(not assume and since I forgot) AND if I wanted A ROLL or CORNBREAD(like most places would do if they have a choice of bread). Taking that extra initiative to please the customer — AGAIN, this was my FIRSTVISIT. Ribs were pretty tender(not tough) and had a good flavor. Chicken was better than El Pollo. HOTLINK was GREAT!(Just wish I had 2 instead of 1 — I had(2) of everything else). Sauce was good, but not Spicy enough for me for it to be the SPICY vs MILD sauce. Mac and Cheese was kinda bland.(had to try– but could’ve saved that $ 1.50). Greens were great! Potato Salad even better and HOMEMADE not store bought.(smile) Sweet Potato Pie was SO– SO. Peach Cobbler was SOMEOFTHEBEST I’ve had. So my Total was $ 27 for me, ONE person? Sides dishes were gone… portion TOOSMALL to share ANDTOOGOOD to save. I’m gonna give 3 stars because of the friendliness of the staff. Unless you’re using a COUPON, It’s KINDAPRICEY, something to CONSIDERIF you have a family to feed. I’m all for supporting small businesses, so I hope Joe will re-visit his prices. To be fair I’m gonna look at the Platter Prices, but there are a variety of places you can go that will feed 3 – 5 for about $ 25(KFC, Church’s, NORMS, Del Taco, etc.) The PEACHCOBBLER is worth the trip and that price is cool. That’s my opinion folks. CHECKITOUT and make yours. Until the next review… peace and blessings!

(Review based on 2.5 stars) Ribs to Spare is an easy miss on Citrus Ave. It is right between an Antique store and a Law Office. Parking is on the street(free). My husband and I came by here for some dinner. This place is really tiny and has 3 small tables and chairs inside, so more so likely you will probably be taking your food to go. By the way, there are no public restrooms here(another reason to take your order to go). Anyways, when we came in, a male employee(whom I think is actually the owner) said hello to us as he was going out(but eventually came back in and went to the kitchen). When we approached the order window, there was a female employee who knew we were there but ignored us(my husband was not a fan of that). We browsed the yellow laminated menus to see what we wanted and ended up ordering: Triple Meat Beef Plate with Collard Greens & Cole Slaw, $ 21.50 prior to tax– This entrée comes with 2 beef ribs and your choice of two types of meats. My husband decided to add chicken and pork ribs. This entrée also comes with your choice of 2 sides, which my husband and I decided to get collard greens and cole slaw. This entrée also came with 1 dinner roll. The barbecue sauce used on the meat was just average and quite strong on the tang because of the vinegar and also a bit on the sweet side too. My husband and mother were not big fans of the sauce. The beef ribs and pork ribs itself were bland and felt the restaurant relied upon the sauce to add flavor to the meat. Also the ribs and chicken were a little on the dry side as well. The collard greens were good and so was the cole slaw. But unfortunately that is not enough to save this dish. The dinner roll was just average. The portion size of this entrée can easily feed 2 people or even 3 people. Banana Pudding, $ 3.60 prior to tax– This banana pudding is really sweet, and taste a little bit like frosting. But I did enjoy it, but in small amounts over a few days because of how sweet it is. — — — — — (Total= $ 27.36 after tax) By the way, there is a $ 0.65 charge for credit card transactions under $ 10. I honestly don’t see us coming back here again and wouldn’t recommend it. I am sorry to say it, but my husband and I have made better barbecue at home and will probably just stick to that.

Ordered from here for the office a while ago and as much as I wanted to love it — we should’ve stuck to Lucille’s. The ribs weren’t great and they put hot sauce on everything(with big flakes of red pepper in it) even though we had asked for half hot half mild. Even the dessert we ordered was thoroughly lackluster. I wouldn’t order again

Colorado Springs is a dead town for foodies and as a New Yorker in exile I suffer greatly. Mercifully, I am in LA for a week and eating as much as four men to make up for lost time. For starters, when you can eat chile with a fork you know you’re in the right place. Don’t play around when you come here — get the three meat combo and don’t look back. I would conquer small kingdoms for the hot links. The Tri tip is flawless and the ribs, fughetaboutit. Ribs To Spare is perfect. You can always tell when food is made with great love. Terrific family run place. Say hi to Joe the BBQ master and owner! Amazing food, amazing service, amazing people. Unequivocal 5 stars.

Decided to try this place after buying a deal from Amazon Local $ 22 for $ 11. We came for lunch but since we had to use up the full value in one transaction, the cashier recommended that we get the 3 meat combo. We ended up getting 2 beef ribs, 2 pork ribs, tri tip a bread roll with side of mac and cheese and potato salad. We also got a slice of the sweet potato pie. They have 2 types of bbq sauce to choose from, original and spicy, we opted for spicy. It’s a really tiny shop so there’s just 3 tiny tables at the front so we decided to take the food back to the office. The flavor was good, but the meat wasn’t fall off the bone tender and was actually a bit on the tough side and you really needed to work at it to get the meat off. The tri tip was really tender tho, but a bit too smoky for my taste. Potato salad was decent, but the mac and cheese… oh man. i was really disappointed with that one. Not cheesy at all and so so dry and bland. Sweet potato pie was pretty good, crust was nice and flaky. The staff is really friendly and I’m not sure if we just went on an off day, but don’t know if I’ll want to try it again.
