If there was no stars I would choose that! We were in the area and looking for a good Mexican spot and this place came up and it had 4 stars so we went for it, my family and our friends family were with us, it’s literally a hole in the wall sometimes those are bomb, but that was a NO. My husband got a burrito that was ok, our friends got the asada nachos and that thing had more beams than anything, u couldn’t even see the meat on the nachos, I got the California burrito and honestly that was so gross it was more sour cream than anything, I didn’t have any meat in mine either and honestly it had no flavor, my kids had fries that had no seasoning at all, before we even left the restaurant our stomachs started to hurt, the whole time there is music blasting loud but it’s all muffle just plain annoying, the employees were nice but il sorry I wouldn’t recommend going here. First timer and I for sure won’t be going back!

One of the best And somewhat unique tacos. If you order asada tacos get it w/the red sauce. There’s no other red delicious sauce like it, also asada burrito is bomb red sauce as well, tripas tacos are the best here w/green sauce if you’re into tripas. Place is clean and service is good/fast. They also have other dishes, very simple, but good. Great bang for your buck. I highly recommend at least once. Most people get addicted!!!

I’ve tried the one in El Monte and was greatly impressed with the food and price. Happened to be driving by and saw the sign. Had to check it out and see if it was the same. I ordered the chicharron burrito and an orange bang. I have to say this place is right on. Food is great! Service is fast and you’re greeted and appreciated as a customer! Prices are fair given the serving you get when you order! This is now my go to spot. Sorry King Taco.

Great Tacos n Burritos. I’ve been a fan since Mr. Omana had his Taco Truck in So. El monte Outside of Pauls Bar on corner of Rush & Merced. I just had the new Supreme Burrito here at Omanas Wcovina this wknd. I expected the Burrito to be Bigger considering the Price of $ 7.50. Where other of my favorites places have Super Burritos for same price but much bigger. Richi if your reading this«Its overpriced» for the size”. or make it Bigger then your OK. It was really good though. Im gonna try the California Burrito next. I hope its size matches its price im sure it’ll B good.

Quick food with good quality. People at the register are always nice and friendly. The food that comes out, I have never been disappointed with, and I come here frequently.

Taste the same as the original on Central & Rush. Better indoor seating and they accept ATM cards. So happy I definitely recommend to anyone to visit them.

Visited: March 20th, 2016. Afternoon. Service: 5 stars! Food: 4 stars The Good: Absolutely delicious tacos(that sauce), decent prices, the cool guy behind the counter, everything really. The Not As Good: Nothing to complain about. After an exhausting but wonderful weekend working a music festival my best friend and I found ourselves running around doing different pick-up errands when a sudden craving for tacos hit, so we put in for the nearest taco place and somehow it landed us here — and oh am I glad it did. It may seem just like a run-down ol’ local taco places, but sometimes in life that’s exactly what your wittle soul needs, and this one does it. Whoever the guy at the counter was had excellent«customer service»(is there a more clever way to tell you that one) … he made small talk, part us extra chips, and just seemed to be so happy for being at work. His energy literally just made me happy. Oh yeah, and the food … I guess that’s important for these reviews too. It was bomb diggity. Whatever the sauce they put on my shrimp taco was super delicious, it added a whole rich flavor I wasn’t expected. Classic tacos with a little flare. The shrimp was my favorite but the others were good too. So I’m satisfied, and I’d be back for some shrimp tacos & that cashier’s smile if I was in the area(but I was also really, really in need of tacos, so consider that).

Staff was friendly and helpful, they offered their recommendations and it was delicious. We are not from the area, so I did what I do best and Unilocaled somewhere for dinner… small place with a large selection of flavors. I like the fact that I was able to identify a few flavors usually found at home. Portions are large and cooked to order. Definitely a must try.

This is definitely«a good bang for your buck.» Venue: This restaurant is located in a little shopping center, which is nice, because it has its own parking lot. There is very limited indoor seating as well. It is a very clean and spacious venue and very well lit. Food: I got a vegetarian burrito. Build your own style. The only vegetarian burrito option was a bean burrito, but she let me add whatever I wanted. It was huge !!! Not my favorite, but tasty. My boyfriend said that the carne asada tacos were better than the burrito. The Jamaica was good, not super sugary like other places. Service: The service was great. Both employees that I encountered were very friendly.

I’ve had my share of Taco Tuesdays, and I’ve really got to give it to them. They have to be one of my favorite places now. They have this avocado green sauce that’s spicy. Holy goodness it’s delicious. I got two al pastor and two carne asada with cilantro and onions. I got the fried ones. Really. Really. Tasty. I will be back. I believe I will be a regular here. Great customer service too!

Had a late night craving for Mexican food. Ordered their carne asada burrito and was the worst I had ever had! Just had greasy(shiny drippin grease!) fatty meat and beans! With a whole lot of salt and not much else. To make things worst, their cleanliness must be an issue too because I had a bad stomach ache right after just eating half the so called burrito! Had to trash the other half! Will never come here again…

Pros: Delicious food. Cons: Young guy at the front seems like he couldn’t care less about the customers and just wanted to get the job done. At one point I asked him for three Serrano peppers, and he just pulled out the box for me to grab and walked away.

I tasted the Chile Verde burrito, pork in salsa Verde, well it was pretty darn good. Always looking for good flavor. The Chile Colorado Chile Colorado burrito, shredded beef in huajillo sauce, very mild great flavor, I read some of the reviews and I have a different opinion, yes they have to work on some items but sure, will come back. Things need to work on: Aguas frescas need more flavor. Place napkin holders through out the tables No need for the lunch bag, since I’m eating inside the store Lower the music just a knotch No need to over wrap the food, unless it’s to go

We recently moved to Covina and had a craving for some authentic Mexican food. I quickly browsed through some Unilocal reviews and landed on Tacos Omanas. The reviews seemed great so we headed out excited to try something local. We ordered the Carne Asada burrito and Carne Asada Plate. Both were HORRIBLE. Here’s why: BURRITO Tortilla was burned(hard) Carne Asada meat were just cartilage and fatty pieces if not hard meat Inside the Burrito had rice, meat and a ton or red sauce with some sort of red flakes? CARNEASADAPLATE Same thing as the Carne Asada Burrito This was not a Carne Asada plate. but a burrito opened and separated into 2 portions: 1) meat was literally chopped up and mixed with the rice(same as burrito) 2) teaspoon scoop of beans. Not to mention, the salsa was extremely disappointing. Jalepenos were diced and out of a tin can. The red sauce looked light pink with red flakes. Covina… you are disappointing me.

Walking in you have to pull the door extremely hard and next thing you know cold, hard, air shoots down from the door frame and completely takes you by surprise, practically blows you in! Walk in with big teased hair, walk out with a flat iron look. It was absolutely freezing in this little taco shop. Like uncomfortably cold! We ordered our tacos and nachos and patiently waited…5 min…10 min…20 min… and just as we are about to hit the dreaded 30 min wait our tacos came out! Yay! The tacos were smothered in sauce and wrapped in wax. You need a napkin in order to hold your taco. For people who are sensitive to spice I definitely recommend asking ahead of time if they offer dry tacos. The tacos were hard to eat. They slip and slide all over the place and the sauce was a bit salty. I am confident it was chili paste in the carne asada tacos. I feel like they should give you the option between a normal taco and a smothered taco. The carne asada was a little on the chewy side and my chicharron taco had maybe 3 pieces of chicharron and the rest seemed to be canned green tomatillo salsa, still tasty though. I am not a taco snob or anything like that. I just felt like this place ripped me off and didn’t really satisfy my taco tuesday craving. The Nachos were great!!! Not sure if I will make my way back since it’s out of the way for me. If you are in the mood for spicy tacos this is the place you want to eat at. Unfortunately, it was not my cup of tea. 3 star due to uncomfortably freezing temperature, lack of quality food, and ridiculous wait time for a taco shop. Service was great though! The lady was funny and sweet!

I went to Omañas today and ordered my regular Mini Fries with Chile Verde and Cheese. I’ve ordered this a LOT of times. Well, I guess since I was last there the mini fries plate has gotten smaller, like ½ the size of what it used to be. The price is the same. I told the nice lady that the fries got smaller, and she said«no they didn’t» and she insisted they didn’t. She asked the cook and he said the same thing, so I said«I have a picture of them»(from my previous Unilocal review) and she asked to see it, so a younger girl came and she was kind of laughing, which is super rude. She said that they USED to have those, but now that size is considered a small, not a mini. So heads up people, there are now 3 sizes! Mini, Small and Large. The mini fries are $ 5.95 so who knows how much the large is. Bottom line: I used to love this place. Ray ran a great establishment, but ever since he left it hasn’t been the same. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.

No air conditioningm. So your essentially in a boiler room. No air circulation at all, and plenty of flies I opened the door so I could breathe, and a worker came by and closed it. Not cool. I feel like I’m on a desert floor. As you’re ordering your food, someone throws food on the counter next to your arm. They don’t say or tell you anything… so as you walk away they yell and say this is for you. It’s complimentary and also thoughtful of them… but tell us something while we are up there. The tacos i had tasted like beef jery… I coulda went to 7 – 11 and got beef jerky for cheaper price The noise level in here is extremely loud and the place is extremely small with with the bar stools facing the wall. Yup… that wall sure looks exciting while I eat my lunch. It’s one foot from my face. If they took out those dumb counters with the bar stools, they could at least put two maybe three more tables. While your at it, put some tables outside with chairs so we can breathe some fresh air from outside. Probably less flies outside. And to top off our dinner delight was the nice lady with her two radical kids running around waking up her baby who was screaming because the kids were screaming. Then the parents were screaming at each other. WOW! Really? Yeah…I had fun… NOT!
