This location has closed. Now the only CCs in Covington is inside St. Tammany Parish Hospital. They do have valet parking but you can just pull into the circle and park for 5 minutes. But still… we need a CCs in Covington! Turtle Mochassippi. Secret cream base(which is or is something like melted ice cream basically); espresso; chocolate, hazelnut and caramel Torani(available in sugar free, tastes the same). This is a chain, but a local chain, and it’s Community Coffee for goodness sakes. I like my Mochassippis creamy, with very small ice crystals and with a strong coffee flavor and not too sweet. This location hits the mark 98% of the time(the Veterans location does not, but the Esplanade and Magazine St. locations usually do too.) You can get whipped cream too, but I prefer not too. Their regular coffee is so-so. Their food treats are limited and only so-so. They also serve chai and smoothies, but I’ve never tried them. CC’s is very kid friendly and the only place I know that has a kid«minissippi» sized drink without coffee. I love this location also because it is 1. in my town, 2. has drive through, 3. close to Target and the Interstate, 4. not too far from work, and 5. far enough from home that we don’t go there everyday because a mochassippi every day will cost you $ 40 a week and big fat ass. But, it is totally worth it every few days when you need a coffee treat. when I had a regular habit I would get withdrawal headaches. Now I just savor the pleasure. Locations in Baton Rouge too! Sadly the Kenner location closed. Why is that?
