Emerald City Smoothie

As a result of the way this franchise owner, Elizabeth Velasco, treats her employees I have chosen not to patronize this location. Liz regularly is delinquent in paying her employees and most recently terminated one after she refused to continue to work without a paycheck. Typically these types of jobs are filled by young adults in school who are just starting to make their way… withholding and/​or paying these employees late is a sad introduction to the workforce. Please take a stand and vote with your feet at this location.

I love how conveniently located this place is — right inside of my gym! That’s already a reason for two stars, in my opinion. It’s always really clean, I’ve noticed, and they keep all of their merchandise nicely presented. I love that they have all sorts of pre and post workout snacks & things like water bottles for the days that I forget mine at home. I love their smoothies as well… Lol which is why I go here, duh. My favorite is the Slim N’ Fit with chocolate & protein. I’m not sure how slim and fit it’s making me, but it sure is yummy! The staff here during the day are always very nice. I’ve even had a few girls give me discounts for like no reason whatsoever lol but I’m not complaining! The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is because I used to go at night and the service was always pretty harsh. It’s the complete opposite during the day though. I feel that if they could maintain the same level of service and kindness all day, they’d be perfect!

Love the Fruity Supreme! Some of the girls are super sweet too:) don’t forget to start a punch card if you get smoothies frequently.

Love love love Emerald City Smoothie-​Covington. The staff is awesome… so friendly and accommodating. Consistent great service and product. Makes me look forward to my workout knowing I will visit there afterward.

This is the perfect way to complete a workout. Location is great, and the staff is A-​1 when it comes to fast and friendly service. The owners of this location really know how to pick quality employees because they themselves are quality people. Liz and Brad, your franchise ROCKS. We’ve been your fans since opening day, and that will never change.
Too bad the first reviewer could only part with two stars. After several yours of stepping up to your counter, I just wish there were 6 stars available.

I love the crap out of Emerald City Smoothies. I will literally drive out of my way for a Low-​Carb-​Strawberry-​with-​peanut-​butter-​and-​soy-​milk-​instead-​of-​low-​fat-​milk smoothie.
This location, though, makes me think twice about adding extra time on to my errands. I came here the other evening after a jog on a nearby trail. I meant to run in and out, as I had a few other places to stop before getting home to start dinner.
I ran in.
Waited.
And waited.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand waited some more.
By the time I was able to run out, it had been a good 15 minutes.
Really? I’ve never had to wait that long at any smoothie place, ever. This includes the other 5 or 6 ECS locations I’ve frequented. I don’t know if it was her first day, and I didn’t bother to ask. I tried to stay cool, but it didn’t help that some guy was lurking on the side, trying to talk to her as she assembled the drinks.
I’ll be back, but I’m really hoping that things will be quicker in the future.
