Why only 4 stars? Because it’s pizza — Seriously, It’s really good pizza. But, if you go here, try something that’s different. Don’t do a typical pepperoni or cheese pizza. Also, the staff is very friendly. And, it’s expensive; this is not your cheap Domino pizza. This is all I am saying in this review. Go check it out. You will like it. Goodbye now.

This place has kind of a funky atmosphere, but the pizza is really good. The location is easy to get to being that it is right on Highway 190. My kids love the place but it’s good for me and my wife as well. I will definitely be back.

Stopped in while staying over night for a vacation to Florida. Had a decent mushroom-​veggie sandwich and received polite service from the bartender. Mellow environment. Hah.

I’m not a pizza fan but this pizza is great! It’s not greasy or heavy and there are different base sauces and crusts to choose from. They also have a wide variety of toppings for pizza and salads. A few good beer choices on tap, trivia night, TVs at each booth, and cool decorations. The service is slow but pizza does take a while to cook.

We love Mellow Mushroom and this location was just as good as all the others.

We like the margarita pizza. We don’t like a thick crust and if you ask they will make the crust very thin. The caesar salad is good.

Love the Mellow Mushroom in Covington great pizza and service I really love the bayou blue pizza every time I go the food gets better if your a pizza junky like me you should definitely drop in

Called in an order to pick up.
The lady on the phone was friendly and knowledgable.
Everything was Good. The chicken and cheese sandwich could use more mayo and the description online said teriyaki chicken but I tasted no teriyaki flavor at all.
Picking up was smooth. The lady at the bar at that gave me the food was very friendly.

1^st: Awesome décor
2^nd: Pretzels are dry but tasty if had more honey
3^rd: WORST PART ABOUT PRETZELS: HAIRY. I found a hair in my pretzels! I left a note telling the waitress about the hair.
4^th: I ordered in «munchies» section, some stuffed mushrooms for my mother and I, but it wasn’t «mushrooms». It was a mushroom. A single mushroom.
5^th: very tasty pizza. I love the bacon on top!
6^th: 60.32 dollars for 2 pizzas (a large and personal), ONE mushroom, and some HAIRY pretzels.
Overall: only eat the pizza. Check for hair.

First time I’ve visited this restaurant here, my fiancé and I grabbed dinner on the way back up to Bogalusa on a weeknight. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable and pretty laid back. We had a few beers from their ample variety of drafts with a pretzel with Turbo Dog beer cheese appetizer to start. The beer cheese was not as thick as I’d been used to but it still was good. We had a Melloterranean pizza, and wait was short and the pizza was full of flavor and just the right temperature. The Tsaziki added on the side is a nice touch. Oh, and don’t forget to check in here and get $ 5 off your tab (tip it to your server!). I’d definitely eat here again!

Went to mellow mushroom today (first time to this location) I don’t understand how this place can stay open. There wasn’t anyone in the restaurant when I went in. We ordered wings since it was advertised on the front doors half price appetizers 2:00 to whatever I don’t remember time, any ways when we got the bill our wings weren’t half off!!! It was 10.95 for 10 wings! The sign doesn’t say wings excluded. Apparently the waitress was suppose to tell us?! Any ways they didn’t honor the half price. Didn’t say sorry. Nothing. Will never ever ever go back! The locations in Florida are ran way better. I’ll save my mellow mushroom fix for Florida. Don’t waste your time going here.

Service on the weekend is no where close to weekdays, its like they
replace the crew with kids on the weekend. Last two times we went,
the district manager was there waited 15 mins to be waited on, had to
go ask for help. And this last time, waiter did not write anything we ordered
down, and got it all wrong. That pad you have is so you do not mess up our
order (he forgot to enter appetizer, and on pizza he forgot to enter light sauce).
Pizza is good, but they need to stress to there waiters, how to take care of
customers…

We ate here last week and started with the spinach artichoke dip. Let me just tell you… it was amazing! We got it with the pita bread and loved it to every last bite. I got the small bbq chicken pizza which was heavenly! My boyfriend got the supreme pizza and loved his too! We definitely will be back. Food was delicious!

Went here just for happy hour. Drinks and apps are half off during happy hour.
They have a nice selection of beer and the apps are decent. I have tried the wings, which are baked and pretty crispy but not liked fried wings. The spinach dips is more legit.
Beers are good. They have a number of craft and local beers. They guys who work behind really know there stuff and are interesting.
Pizza always good.

Great place to come in with the family and hang for a while. Much larger than most MM’s.

We haven’t been in a long time so we decided to try it since my daughter is vegan and I’m gluten free. We ordered the vegan pizza with just vegan cheese and red sauce, and the Gourmet White gluten free pizza. Both tasted awful, very skimpy on the toppings for the gluten free pizza. Both pizzas were charred on the bottom giving them a bitter taste. I also ordered a greek salad, very disappointing. I’ve never had a greek salad using jsut Iceberg lettuce and they used white onions instead of red. I wish I can take back the time and money I wasted.

Buffalo chicken with Bleu cheese base is to die for. Service is always spot on. My only complaint is the price of drinks. The atmosphere makes for a great place to chow down and drink a few beers.

Haven’t been here in a couple of years. But still great food and great service !!! Lots of options to choose from. Great Apps as well

Fabulous pizza as always! A consistent family favorite.
Only negative is the seats in our booth really sagged making sitting a little uncomfortable.
All in all an easy thumbs up.

Mellow Mushroom is funky and psychedelic, but they have good food and service.
When walking in to Mellow Mushroom I felt like I was transported via DeLorean back to the 70’s. Tie-​dye shirts, bold colors and super crazy looking mushroom statues filed the restaurant. Normally I am 91.2% anti-​hippy, but in this case it worked.
The staff at the host stand, and the servers were first rate. All were friendly and professional and nothing like the hippies of old. Could you imagine a real hippy taking your order? I tend to think he may suffer from sort of short term memory loss. Ok. Enough ridiculousness from me.
Considering this is known as a pizza joint, I was a little worried about not ordering pizza. Not only did I break the rule about not ordering the specialty, I ordered something called a shrimp hoag boy. I take my po-boy’s pretty seriously and this odd sounding sandwich seemed to blatantly ridicule the sandwich I hold so dear. But here’s the thing, that sandwich was damn good. So good in fact that I wouldn’t have cared if that called it the official sandwich of New Orleans. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and seemed almost BBQ shrimp like. It was garlicky, spicy and all around awesome. Will this sandwich take the place of traditional shrimp po-​boys? Now way. But it is a really good sandwich.
