PC After Dark

Purchased a router from PCAD and the lady who sold it to us was very nice and helpful. We brought it home, hooked it up, and it didn’t work. We brought it back not 24 hours later and there was a young man behind the counter. He took the router into the back and tested it. He also found it to be defective. He then told my mother (after speaking to his manager) that he could give us a refund minus a 20% restock fee! REALLY?!? For a defective item that I could have paid half the price for on
with 400 times better customer service? We eventually spoke to the manager and insisting that we were in the right, they reluctantly gave the refund. No apologies from the young man or the manager. We usually insist on purchasing local whenever possible to support our town but we won’t be coing back here!

I came to PC After Dark to get my computer screen replaced and they did it in a speedy manner. The store looked nice as they had a lot of merchandise but the computers on sale seemed older. Also, the customer service wasn’t too great. I didn’t get a smile or anything extraordinary in terms of courteousness. Overall it seems like a decent place to get your computer worked on!

A neighbor recommended this place to my Mother when a storm shorted her computer. Ultimately it was decided that it would be cheaper to purchase a new computer rather than getting a new Motherboard. However, the staff was able to retrieve all of the information on her computer.
Not only do they fix computers, but they also sell their own plus laptops and printers. In addition, I believe they will set up a network if needed.
The people there are nice and knowledgeable. However, when I took my computer to be fixed myself I had a different experience. The staff was still nice, but when my computer was returned, I still had the same problems I had before.
My neighbor swore by this place, but I could only go off my own experience. All that being said, if you’d prefer bypassing a change store like Best Buy, you should give them a try. Perhaps your experience will be different from mine.
