Phở is a bit of a passion with me, and Soup-er Phở does a great job. The place is clean, people pleasant, service crisp and food delicious. Sorry I did not get a photo before digging in… maybe next time!

Was here a few weeks ago having lunch with my cousins l. I don’t know why people are complaining about the portions or taste of this food. You shouldn’t be eating so much you’re stuffed but feeling like you can carry on for the next few hours. Anyway, this place has been around for a while and it’s ran by a family so I like that a lot. The cooks don’t speak too much English but they’re always very friendly and polite. I always see a sweet old man sweeping or reading the newspaper and cleaning or re stocking around. I like the idea of this ma and pa place opposed to the many other vietnamese restaurants that have opened up around this area recently that try to be more trendy.

Great vermicelli noodles! Big portion of it, I ordered the egg roll and grilled pork one.(Didn’t see the grilled pork one on the menu but I assumed they could make it and they did). Everything tasted pretty fresh, also tried the phở which was a little salty but flavorful. I saw they had a full Chinese dinner menu which I didn’t try yet but pretty impressive for a phở restaurant.

If you like getting ripped off come to this place. Haven’t tried the food yet but looking at the portion, I’m very disappointed.

Used to be our favorite phở place, not anymore. The food has significantly changed and for the worse! They added Chinese food to the menu so I tried it because I don’t always want phở. I ordered general Taos, it was rock hard and sickly sweet. I get better Chinese at Safeway. The vermicelli salad has hardly any veggies and weird noodles. The rice had a weird texture, I had my BF taste it he said it was instant. What Asian restaurant serves INSTANTRICE?!! The best part of my meal was the water… oh sorry the pot stickers were pretty amazing. Stick to water and pot stickers and you’ll leave happy.

I am a huge fan of phở, and this is my go to place in the Maple Valley area.

I gotta say I was suprised to find the best vegi phở I’ve ever had in Covington! My bowl came piled high with broccoli, onions, tofu, carrots and bok choy. Wish my phone wasn’t dead I would have taken a picture to post.

This isn’t the best Vietnamese restaurant in Covington since there are 3 more within 5 mins which are WAY better. Not to base a book on its cover, but the decoration of the place could be more inviting and the name sucks since its a bad pun. Also, when I ate their spring rolls I happened to tug on a hair and we only got that dish free while I’ve had past experiences where I got more than one dish free and in this case, I practically ate the dang string of DNA from the follicle! The servers were a bit cold to begin with and awkward.

This is my favorite phở place in the Maple Valley/Covington area. Awesome broth and friendly service! Great fresh spring rolls too!

Warning: This is not just the worst Phở restaurant I’ve visited, it’s in my top 5 all-time worst restaurants, EVER! I only wish I could give it zero stars or negative stars; it’s wretched. Allow me to explain my 5 reasons: 1). Server was impatient to get our order. We had just sat down – and I mean that literally, as in I was seating our baby in the high chair and I hadn’t even removed my coat – the menus hadn’t yet been opened, and she asked, «What do you want?» Not even the standard, «Do you know what you want?» Feeling rushed, my wife and I ordered our food on her third buzz-by(in less than 2 minutes, mind you, before we’d looked at all the options). Very surprising because the place wasn’t busy at all, all but one table was already eating, and we were nowhere near closing time. 2). Our entrees arrived at the same time as the appetizer. Poor planning and is inconsiderate. Why bother with an appetizer, at that point? 3). My water was empty and they forgot the bread we ordered … and the server never came out to any of the tables, again. I kept looking for her, but she went back into the kitchen area and didn’t come back out. The table next to us voiced the question I was thinking, «Is the waitress ever coming back?» Answer: no, she didn’t. 4). Our entrees were a tale of two extremes: onion overload or no flavor at all. I like phở, I know not all broths are created equally, and I know that’s why the pepper and condiments exist … but give me a break! Mine was like dishwater, and my wife’s only tasted like onions. 5). When I walked to the counter, the server magically appeared from the kitchen. One of the other patrons, obviously glad to see an employee, got up and asked for a to-go container … and had to carry them back to his table. The server rang me up for the whole order until I pointed out we’d never received our bread. Her response? «Uh, sorry.» I said, «That’s not all. I’m very disappointed in the service here. We also didn’t get the bread we ordered.» Her response? Nothing. Just waited there at the counter, waiting for the transaction to go through. Moral of the story: if you want to be treated like an interloper by disappearing employees who serve sub-par food, this is your place. If you like to get good food and service, stay away!

If you happen to be in the Covington/Maple Valley area, this is a good choice for some traditional phở. Nice Viet owners/operators and really good phở! I don’t think there is a better one in the area.

Soup-er Phở boils their own broth on site. This is something that all Phở lovers should be asking about. Some of the newer places are using mixes rather than crafting the soup according to the true Vietnamese ways to save money. You may see lower reviews on this site than mine, but it could be because the broth is not loaded with salt and flavor-enhancers that no right-minded Vietnamese person would use, unless s/he were trying to make rent. When made correctly, it may not satisfy the American palate that salivates for Fat/Sugar/Salt. Stay away from the high priced places for this reason. There are hole-in-the-wall Phở places all over South King County that do this fare correctly. A simple call to ask if they make their broth on site will tell you if you want to frequent the establishment. We’re lucky to have one here in Covington.

I came to WA on a vacation to see my in laws and this Phở was amazing. I get Phở in CA but wish this restaraunt was down there! My husband and I got the chicken phở and I ordered a mango drink with tapioca, it was the best boba drink I’ve ever had and I drink ALLOT of boba! In my opinion the portions are large. Very good!

The star rating explains it all… Meh, I’ve experienced better. If you are willing to commute another 7 – 10 mins on Kent Kangley, there’s a really good Phở place in Kent called Saigon Rose.

Very disappointed. I’ve been searching the south end for Phở for a while. Tried another Phở place in Covington and was disappointed, so I was happy to see a second choice. Here, the broth was bland, the Large was smaller than most Mediums I’ve had elsewhere. Even the gui cuon was small, yet it was tasty, but that’s pretty easy. The review saying great portions and pricing must have not had the phở. This whole strip mall has been disappointing, bad sushi, weak phở.

A good phở broth is hard to find. Although the restaurant is clean and new the Phở lacks flavor. It is above a bowl of chicken broth by one step. I can not taste the star of anise. I may try it one more time to give it another try. It always seems fairly busy but it may be that people in this area haven’t had other Phở experiences, or maybe they like a Phở broth without alot of flavor. To each his own.

Clean, efficient and decent. There were quite a few people in here, which is always a good sign. Spring rolls were really fresh and tasty. My phở was okay, not great, and a good portion for a large. But I will admit that the food was to the table really quickly. You have to walk up to the counter to get your bill and pay, which can cause a bit of a line, but wasn’t really a big deal. Oh, and they will take a credit card, which is always a plus.

The Phở Ga here is decent. I am partial to places that put adequate portions of meat in my soup and this place did not dissapoint. Driving through this town if I had a hankering for some Phở, I’d stop by here. The Taro bubble tea is good and the service staff was nice too.
