Excellent wonderful classic pizza place. My wife had been as a child and said its just as she remembers. Great pizza and friendly staff. We ordered the Italian Salad and Crabmeat pizza, both were wonderful. Turner, our server, was great. Quick and attentive. If you want to spend some time in a wonderful classic pizza joint get to Pizza Man of Covington, bring the kids and let them watch the chefs through the kitchen window. At the end of the meal the owner even came out to hang out.

Very disappointing!!! Soggy soggy crust, not much taste, barely edible. Worst pizza I have ever had and I love pizza. Forgot to add, slow and over priced.

Holy moly! This pizza is the bomb!!! A small is perfect for 2 people to split. Very good ingredients! The menu is small but the flavor is big, they also have crushed ice(like sonic) for beverages.

I’ve been wanting to try Pizza Man for a few years now after hearing it was a local institution. I finally went. I suppose they’ve never changed the recipe all these years. But maybe they should. There are much better pizza places on the Northshore. We found the sauce to be tasteless. The crust was nothing special. And the even the cheese was kind of bland. Overall, The Pizza Man is not bad, but it’s not great either. No wonder so many people complain about the high prices.

Pizza was good but so thin that you had to eat with a fork. They finally accept credit cards. $ 19 for a large 4 topping pie. I think sodas are still no refills so we got ours to go.

Excellent! Takes you back to the 70s since they have been tossing pizzas for almost 40 years. Nice to see a family business survive. The pizza is awesome so I guess that’s the reason. Don’t miss it!

We substituted spinach for the green pepper, then added garlic sauce on the Pizza Palace meat eater. Salad to start. All Amazingly delicious ! Plus $ 2 Ultra or Shock Top beers. Really great dinner.

Yea I’ll give it a fun, cool, and artistic atmosphere but the pizza falls apart in the warmth of your hand all the chews and toppings just slide right off! At least at franchise pizza places the pizza stays together!!! The only thing I like about this place are the pizza boxes and the window in the pizza kitchen so kids can watch.

It has been a long time since I have been to The Pizza Man, but from what I remember ITWASTHEBESTPIZZA I HAVEEVERHAD, EVER! The atmosphere is very casual, so its perfect if you just want something on the low key. Service was okay. But the pizza is so worth it. I cannot wait until we go visit my Mom in Covington again, this is going to be the place we are going to eat… cannot wait.

Just moved to Covington and Pizza Man was suggested to us. The pizza is really good, BUT, there were no free refills on drinks(who doesn’t give refills?!) and a large cheese pizza was nearly $ 20. So it tasted good, but for the price, it’s not really worth it.

«The board» is by far the best pizza I have ever eaten in my entire life. «The Board» consists of a generous layer of olive oil, spinach, Italian ham, garlic, artichokes, mushrooms, along with a lot of cheese. The crust is really really thin so you can taste more of the toppings as oppose to mainly bread and then toppings. Seriously worth going to!

Pizza ordinary — definitely better choices on the North Shore. Limited toppings, nice they have andouille sausage. Generous cheese, good flavor overall but thin, soggy crust and lots of grease on top the pizza and the plate. Took so long to get our pizza we finished our sodas while waiting, then we learn NO free refills. Won’t be going back.

Here’s the thing: sometimes they burn the crust on one side. And this causes me actual anger because they see the pizza when they box it up and they KNOW that they are giving you a burnt, unevenly cooked pie. And that’s pizza sacrilege or something. It’s disrespectful to the pizza-loving community(me). Frustrations aside, I’ve found that asking them ahead of time to turn it while cooking, to avoid the burn, is effective. Despite the prices($ 20+ for a large plain cheese) and the potential for ruin, it’s still my favorite pizza on the Northshore. The cheese is fantastic and the crust is nice and thin. I know my boyfriend’s daughter will grow up to have lovely memories of coming here to watch the pizza makers work. Tasty greasy goodness, gimme.

The pizza is good. I like a thin crust and brick oven style pizza. The pepperoni has a good taste and the sauce taste good. I feel this pizza restaurant is a solid contender for Covington. The guy behind the window greeted me as soon as I walked. The cashier was nice and polite. I got a half special and the other half pepperoni. So you can divide the pizza. One pizza place didnt allow me to half an order. It’s worth a shot– if you brick oven style and thin ;)

I had heard from a few people and also read in other reviews that this is the best pizza in the area. I have to say that it is indeed the best I have had so far on the north shore. If you’re wanting great pizza then this is the place to go. They don’t offer anything but pizza. No calzones, breadsticks of any kind, sandwiches, etc. Just pizza. Some may consider it a bit pricey but the beer is cheap. $ 2.00 mugs of Ultra which is what I drink so that kind of makes up for it. The service was great. My server was on top of things and checked on me regularly. They have a window where you can watch them make the pizza which is fun for the kids. There were several of them having a blast while I was there. Good stuff! I’ll be a regular.

CASHONLY… BEWARNED… CASHONLY!!! We picked up a large, 5-topping pizza last night. I’ll agree with the other reviews that it’s very tasty, yummy pizza. Having said that, for the price we paid($ 19), I could have got 2 of the same thing from Papa John’s, and we would have been more stuffed! What I mean is, Pizza Man makes their pizzas«thin crust» by default, so if you’re looking to feed 4 hungry people, you’ll need to order 2 of them(which will run you $ 38). I’m sure this is a great place to bring the kiddos for an evening out, but for my money, I’ll head elsewhere. I ate ½ of this thing by myself with no problem. Oh, and I can honestly say that this is NOT the best pizza I’ve ever had. It was good, I won’t deny that, but the price outweighs the satisfaction. I think I’ll stick with Isabella’s Pizza.
