I have been a client for the past 6+ years. I have always had a friendly greeting, prices are very reasonable and my nail always look great! I really like their new location as it’s directly on 19 and so easy to access. The salon is kept clean and I appreciate that! I understand that if you’re not used to carrying cash, it may discourage you that you cannot put the tip on your card but the credit card companies charge businesses for their service. Therefore, the tech will not receive your full tip! If you just keep a little ‘tip cash’ in your wallet, you won’t have any future concerns! I always go with an appointment as with a ‘Walk In’ wherever you go, you always take a chance of waiting or being turned away. Getting an appointment is easy as I have them in my contact list! I would encourage during Holidays to call well in advance as they get busy, which tells you others are happy with the service as well!

Unfortunately I have to give this business one experiences at Nails by Sally’s have not went well. The only positive thing I can say about the business is when my daughter was younger and they were located at their old space. The receptionist always offered to paint my younger daughters nails while I was getting any service done. That is the ONLY positive thing I can say about this business. Let’s start with their employee Jackie.(or however she spells it.)This young lady is the most miserable person I have come accross in entire(42 years) life. If she still works for Jimmy she shouldn’t.This young lady shouldn’t work around people period end of subject. I heard she had another job once again, working with and around I don’t know if the stress of working two jobs has something to do with her unusually negative attitude. She IS the reason I quit going to Nails by Sally. I dreaded dealing with her every other week. And I tipped Jimmy(the owner) at least 30%-40% and also gave(tipped) him with expensive GIFTS!!! Yes you heard me correctly, I said gifts. And if Jimmy did your nails.(the best person in the salon) he expected large tips and gifts!!! And if you did not give him a large tip. You would not get an appointment with Jimmy. Or you conveniently wouldn’t get worked in with Jimmy. And I am talking about expensive designer gifts. I am talking about Armani brand name gifts or even better. etc…I mean this guy must be completely out of his mind, right? This is Cranberry Twp, Pa. And Kylie Jenner’s friends and family don’t get her nails done at,“Nail by Sally” in Cranberry Twp Pa. Like who does Jimmy think he is? Hey Jimmy, you need to come back down to earth dear. You cannot even deal with, speak to talk to be nice to this girl Jackie girl. She is so increadably moody and miserable. I was afraid to put one foot forward. Or she was going to bite my head off. Even if I paid her a compliment or gave her a cash tip for painting my daughters nails. She has a large chip on her shoulder and and an even bigger attitude problem. She needs to reevaluate her career path. She needs not to work around people. Oh yeah, let’s talk about cash tips. They have a policy that they can no longer accept credit card gratuity because of increased credit card processing rates or something like that. I personally always payed cash. But thought this was very inconvenient when I brought my sisters bridal party in. And my mother had to tip cash after spending hundreds of dollars on our large bridal parties spa day. Almost everyone had a full set of acrylics plus solar polish applied on their nails. Plus we all upgraded from regular pedicures to the better pedicure. I was trying to help out Jimmy. Yet my mother had to tip cash on a bill that was hundreds of dollars. To conclude I am so sorry, but I do not recommend this salon based on Jimmy and Jackie’s behavior and attitude problems. And if you have ever been there I am sure you can totally agree with me. Jimmy is the ONLY one that knows what he is doing when it comes to nails. But he expects too large of tips and gifts for the work he does. He is extremely full of himself. I ended up leaving his salon for an even higher scale salon in Wexford that appreciates my business.(and tips) ugh!

Not impressed. I got the gel nail manicure and pedicure. They only do appointments and the day of I wanted to change my requested gel manicure to a acrylic nail mani. Well my request got shot down and I was pretty frustrated so I just went ahead with the service. Afterwards I realized that life is too short to settle with«okay» service. Nails by Sally does offer wine or coffee. I guess that is the one pro that I can name.

Your standard nail salon. I don’t feel like anything really stood out as fantastic. The gentleman who did my mani/pedi did not speak much to me and I feel like he could have done a much better job. I really enjoy a firm hand massage and I feel like my pedicure was cut a little short. I put a great deal of work into my nails at home — treating my cuticles several times a week, my nails are always painted, and I shape them every time I paint them. My friend who does not paint hers as often got horribly cut up! They cut her cuticles and she was bleeding all over the place! Her nails were not in bad shape at all and there was no reason for her to have that much blood from a manicure. I am sure that if I didn’t already treat and push back my cuticles so often, I would have been in the same boat. The salon itself is not especially clean or dirty. I think they could do a better job of making it look cleaner and more polished. It was just ok, but a little bit of work could really make a difference. It is also inconvenient to have to tip in cash. As someone who rarely carries cash, I would prefer to tip on my card. I came in with two of my girlfriends for a girl’s day. One of my friends has been there many times over the years, and her mother is a regular. They all fussed over her, and barely said a word to my other friend or to me. I understand that relationships need to be built and that she would get more attention, but they gave her a longer pedicure and made her feel far more welcome. Maybe I’m just jelly of the attention she got… I just think they could have done more to make us all feel welcome. All in all, not a great experience.

I tried these guys out a few times before I decided that i was done with them. First time there, i had a great experience & great mani pedi but then the girl left. 2nd time — my pedi was done & when she was done she just tossed them into my dirty foot water & then into her drawer which left me wondering if they were EVER clean :(Next time, I had a much older gentlemen who really banged up my fingers; I was bleeding. I just got a gel manicure … and not only was i scraped up from the harsh nail filing but then he used a stick with nail polish remover to clean up his sloppy job … so that burned my cuts. That was the end of that salon for me!

Short Version: Paid full price for a bloody toe and a bloody finger. Was told to wipe the cuts down in hydrogen peroxide when I got home to prevent infection. This all happened the day before my wedding. Long Version: Went to Nails by Sally based on a co worker’s recommendation. Told the receptionist I wanted a Pink & White manicure and a basic pedicure. She looked at me funny and said, «pink & white? you mean like the french?» I guess technically it is a french design so I said yes. I was escorted to the pedicure chair and had an older woman assigned to me. Everything was fine until she began trimming back the cuticles. She seemed to be taking a long time on my big toe and when I looked down, my toe was bleeding A LOT. She continued to try to wipe the blood and get it to stop. While she waiting, she worked on the other toes. When she finished with all of the toes and the bleeding continued, she decided to wipe the blood and paint the toe anyway. I guess she was hoping the paint would stop the blood. When she finished, the toe was still bleeding a little, but she escorted me over to the manicure table anyway. As she began to work on my hands it was like dejavu when she cut my cuticle back too far on my middle finger, which also started bleeding profusely. She seemed visibly embarrassed and kept trying to stop the bleeding with cotton and some sort of blue liquid. White she put pressure on my finger she glanced down at my big toe which has now completely pooled with blood that dried into the polish. She asked me to wash my hands and then took me back to the pedicure chair to fix the big toe. Unfortunately, someone had moved the colored polish I had picked for my toes and we couldn’t find the color. I had to pick a different color, which she applied to only the big toe after removed the blood/paint combination, leaving me with 1 toe a different shade than the rest. Moving back to my hands, the bleeding had slowed enough that she felt she could continue. When she pulled out the regular french nail polish, I stopped her to confirm that I was getting a pink & white set. She said«oh, you aren’t getting french polish?» I said no and she motioned the receptionist over. She says to the receptionist, «she wants pink & white set» and the reception looks at me and goes«Oh, you wanted the full set – well no one is available to do that right now.» So they move me over to the drying station and I wait until someone is available. Luckily, this went a little smoother, however the finger started bleeding again when he had to file the nails down. He told me to wipe my finger down with hydrogen peroxide when I got home. This was a little unnerving but since it was the day before my wedding, I didn’t want to take any chances and soaked my finger when I got home. When I went up to pay, the receptionist was totally oblivious to my terrible experience even though she had been walking throughout the salon talking to the technicians. I was charged the full $ 62 and left with a bloody toe and a still bleeding middle finger that formed a nice scab on my wedding day. Needless to say, I will never go back.

Nails by Sally recently moved to a new space in Ogle Plaza in Cranberry. The new salon is really nice and they have updated a few things. Both their old space and the new one are always clean and well maintained. It’s obvious they really work at keeping everything spotlessly clean and they are good at it. I’ve been a customer here for a long time and I really like going there. Everyone is always friendly and really nice. You get the sense that the employees all seem to enjoy working here. Their prices can’t be beat — $ 22 for a pedicure or $ 27 for French may be the best deal in town. I always go with an appointment and I often need to wait a while to see my favorites, which is ok. Knowing that, I just call early.

I rated this place 4 stars for cleanliness. I go to Asian nail salons all the time and I was happy to find a place that would actually pass inspection. I got a manicure here, which comes with a hot towel(I love hot towels), and all the towels they used for me were fresh, and the tech cleaned her tools before she started. I was the last client for the day I think because i saw how they clean in the back pedicure room, it was pretty thorough. The service was normal for the type of business, but I did like how clean everything was.

I went to Nails By Sally for a manicure-pedicure to celebrate an important weekend(thankfully not a wedding or other personal important event, this was just an educational milestone). The technician was very nice, but not very helpful even after I explained that this was my first time at a nail salon. The salon was very loud, even though there weren’t many other clients at the same time. Two TVs turned on to the news along with the whirring of fans made it very hard to hear what the technician was asking me or directing me to do. I would have given this experience two stars except for the sign at the front desk saying that gratuity could no longer be placed on credit card due to higher credit card processing fees. I booked my Friday appointment on Monday afternoon after spending time looking up local salons and spas on Unilocal,Google, and the salons’ own websites, and nothing was mentioned on Nails By Sally’s webpage about this policy. I don’t usually carry cash with me, and there was no convenient ATM in the plaza to grab a quick $ 20 to leave a tip. The service wasn’t so spectacular that I’m willing to make a trip just to get cash so I can tip my technician — I won’t be returning to Nails By Sally.

I took my daughter here for a special mommy/daughter mani/pedi to celebrate her 7th birthday. The place was clean and nicely set up/decorated, but the service was just horrible. I was told when I made the appointment that I didn’t need to choose what package I wanted because they’d help us decide when we got there. So, we get there on the day of our appointment and the receptionist points us over to the pedicure section and I ask our technicians about the packages and all I get is a ‘well you can go back up front and grab a flyer’ — I mean c’mon, really? That’s your response when a customer wants to upgrade to a more expensive package? On top of this, the people who did our nails literally behaved like they were there doing us a favor or something. The woman who did my daughter’s nails was at least somewhat nice to her, but didn’t do anything to make her visit special or to ensure that I was anywhere near my child while our services were being performed — which was very disappointing to me given that this was the first time my daughter had ever had a mani/pedi and she was so excited to go and do this together. The guy who did my mani/pedi was just full of attitude — he literally just treated me like crap — all the warmth of an IRS agent doing a tax audit! I was so uncomfortable and couldn’t wait for it to just be over. To top off this horrible experience, my manicure completely peeled off after less than 24 hours — I mean literally, just chipped and peeled off to virtually nothing after normal wear. I could maybe see if I was scrubbing floors or doing dishes or something the next day, but no — nothing — it was sunday and we spent a lazy day at the house… Cost me almost 60 bucks for the two of us and I have nothing to show for it not even a day later –what a waste! I have no desire to step foot in that place again or I would have gone back to make them redo it. I’ve been to many nail places in several states and even outside of the US and this place is by far, the WORST place I’ve ever been. Very, very disappointing…

I don’t like to write a bad review. Especially when the employees at this store had tried very hard to please me. Most times they have been successful. I have also had some pretty strange ordeals. One time, my girl didn’t know how to properly apply dark colors. She messed up my nails, I told her that I was unhappy with them. So, she tried to fix them but actually made them even worse. I finally told her that she would have to start them over. Part way thru for the second time, she actually fell off her chair and just kept repeating sorry, sorry, so sorry. All I wanted was my polish on my nails, not on my fingers. Someone else had to redo them. Another time I had a nice girl giving me a pedicure. Unfortunately for me, she wasn’t allow to do my manicure. Instead, I got her brother. While the job he did didn’t seem too bad at first, the polish started to chip off my nails the very next day. As a result, I have vowed to never visit the store again.
