If you’re in the Cranbury area and looking around for some jewelry and or antiques, stop in at David Wells Antiques. David runs the store with his mother in a building that is over 140 years old. They are always warm and welcoming. David is an excellent artist and worked as an art teacher for several decades at Asher Holmes. So stop in and say hi if you had him as an art teacher. He has an excellent memory and loves seeing his old students.

Lots and lots of antique jewelry at a very good price. Very nice people and a quaint little town with marvelous homes. Worth the trip on a dreary day, so I had fun!

I recently moved to the area looking for antique stores and I found David’s place by chance on Unilocal.I’m glad I did! There’s a great assortment of items for collectors or those just looking for something specific. I like speaking with David because he has an extensive knowledge on every item and he’s great to chat with. I visit at least once a month because of the interesting assortment of kitchen ware. I would definitely come here to look for gifts for my friends and family!

I just met Mr Wells, I didn’t realize I had met him before! He has the perfect shop of treasures for Cranbury. Inventory changes often and visitors should make it a point to stop in when they visit. Right next to Teddy’s too!

I adore Cranbury, and part of this is because of David Wells Antiques. Cranbury is a really cute, picturesque historic spot where it is nice to stroll, have some ice cream, and do some light shopping. The antique store has a range of items, from furniture, to vintage handkerchiefs, jewelry, porcelain, postcards, old and beautiful items that were once useful but are now just decorative(like tools, signs, etc.) and anything/everything you’d expect in a small antique store. Mr. Wells is knowledgeable and very customer-oriented. I didn’t spend a ton of money the first time I was there, but he graciously wrapped items for me, provided me with information and it was clear he really cared about what he was doing. He also doesn’t hover over you or make you feel pressured — he’s happy to interact if you want, but will let you take your time and browse if you want privacy. He also has some very interesting things — in particular, my fiancé found a mechanical calculator in the window, and we thought the price was quite reasonable, very comparable to the price you’d find it on the internet(minus the shipping charges). This is a great place to stop by if you want a lazy afternoon in Cranbury.
