A great coffee spot! They’ve recently switched over from the Rockin Joes chain to a privately owned place. It hasn’t lost its charm though! Drinks are great and the pastries look delicious(I’ve never tried anything though). In the summer, the open up their windows so it’s nice and breezy inside!

This café has recently been converted to a private café from the former chain Rocking Joe’s. It’s the original staff and same drinks. Plus to this location is that they sell amazing bakery items created right across the street at Breadsmith — a great local bakery. Their prices are pretty expensive and their roasts are too dark in my opinion and typically drink dark roasts from Starbucks. Their service is great though and they do cool foam art!

So i worked at «Rock n’ Joes» for a good week to give people an inside look of what it is since there are so many reviews of what it looks like to customers. First off their not called Rock n’ Joes anymore, it’s called Track 5 coffee. The employee’s were not so nice after the first day, in a way they had attitudes and were snippy, which soon made it uncomfortable to work with them and be yourself around them. The manager was also rude, he does not wait for you(employee) to get comfortable in the environment and makes everything seem like a competition. When i say competition i mean, he put me and another new employee against each other. I don’t mean to pull the race card, i’m very open to other races but he seemed to be pulling the race card because it seemed as if he favored her a lot more then me even when we were doing the same job, both working hard, and we both just recently started. Of course i have nothing against this other employee she worked very hard and was very sweet, but me being a black employee i felt as if i was not favored as much as her. He even used the words, «i may not be such a good fit for here», and«it’s out of my comfort zone.» i mean what is that suppose to mean, i worked hard, even stayed a bit over the time i was suppose to, to show i wanted the job more, i came in an hour early all the time, i treated my co– workers with respect and was very kind to them, I put in as much effort as possible and learned things very quickly, and was very sweet and warm– hearted towards customers, i even made a couple new friends. i figured him saying that may have had something to do with my brown skin. If anything i would not have even gave them a one star but i have to agree their coffee and bake goods are delicious as well as the music and set up of the place.

Ordered a double shot espresso, and it’s better than Ahrre’s fresh roasted espresso in Westfield, NJ. But both are the best you’ll get around here… for now.

I’ve been here so far twice and I must say it’s my favorite new place to go! The staff Blu and Betty are so sweet and informative for a 1st timer. Also the owner Kevin made it a point to make me feel so welcome and totally remembered my name. The latte is to die for! They have such a variety of different java mixes. Everything from the food to the atmosphere is top notch! I get off my parkway exit between my house and work just to grab a latte and croissant! I will be sure to invite my friends and family on the weekends so this can become their favorite new place too! If you are looking for great coffee please take a stop by this adorable fun shop!

Excellent coffee shop. The Van Halen was nothing I ever tasted. Absolutely delicious latte. My son had the hot chocolate he described it as amazing. my daughter had the iced macchiato and was great too. The staff are very friendly as well. I highly recommend this place.

First time here, but from my experience: amazing Chai latte, tasty(but not AMAZING) baked good(some sort of nut/fruit/chocolate bread), kind employees. Well worth a visit, though I do wish the music volume had been a tad lower for chatting.

Coming to work early has its perks. One of them is Rockin’ Joe. I’ve searched Unilocal for a a breakfast/coffee place and stumbled upon this place. I didn’t have expectations for this place, well… Other than what the Unilocalers have posted. I seldom give five stars. I didn’t think that a «coffee bar» would have me hooked. The coffee deserved five stars on its own. The brew was fresh as well as the temperature being just right. I’ve been sitting here for the past 30 minutes. EVERYONE walking in was greeted by name. Mind you, this place is busy while food is being prepped at record time. Where else can you find this? Certainly not in NYC. I’ll definitely return. Soon enough they’ll know my name too.

The cappuccino is amazing and much cheaper than Starbucks the food was delicious as well. Tried one of the specially drinks I think it was mocha something, it was horrible, but everything else was so good that I don’t even care. Place is cozy unless you’re sitting in the round tables on the right, it is way too tight and you will bump in to the person next to you if you’re not super careful.

Great place to go and just sit for a bit. Coffees are great and I really love their hot chocolate. Desserts are great too. Service is always good.

Great neighborhood coffee shop that knows how to draw an espresso. Neat, clean, polite service and the baked goods showcase local products from across the street. Two thumbs up.

This is my absolute favorite place in NJ. I haven’t lived in state for a few years now, but my whole family is still in NJ. Whenever I come home one of my first spots is Rockn Joe. Between the ambiance and the delicious coffee drinks being served up this place is top notch. My favorite is the seasonal Peppermint Mocha, always delicious and sometimes served with a «latte art» design. I highly recommend Rockn Joe to visitors and locals alike!

As other reviewers suggested, the Van Halen was delicious! I asked for one shot less of syrup since I am not a fan of overly sweet drinks. It was just right. Next time, I want to try the Nutty Irishman. Service was great, but I wish they had a full menu printed somewhere for me to look at. I went there for brunch with my husband. He got the bacon, egg, and cheese and I got the Avocado and chickpea sandwich. My sandwich was pretty good. The bread was toasted perfectly and had a buttery exterior. The combination of avocado and chickpeas complimented each other perfectly and had a lemony kick to it. My husband said the bacon egg and cheese was decent. Overall, the portions were a little on the smaller side and would be best ordered as a snack, rather than a meal. Next time, I want to try the prosciutto and Gruyère sandwich!

I came here for a Saturday morning coffee date with a friend. The staff here were super friendly about helping me figure out my drink order. I settled on the Chai tea latte. They told me they have a spicy version and a not-so-spicy version. I asked for the spicy version, and it turned out rather tame. I was a little bit disappointed. There was also a slightly disproportionate milk/foam to tea ratio which made for a slightly weaker /more dilute tea than I was hoping for. But I think this is the standard American way of making chai tea lattes so I have no major complaints. My friend ordered their Pumpkin spice latte, which she seemed to enjoy. They do serve their drinks in ceramic mugs if you’re staying, which is a nice touch, and the pumpkin spice latte is served with a cute little caramel design of a pumpkin smiley face.(No latte art for the masala chai though) I also ordered their huge chocolate chip cookie. This cookie, which was the size of my face, has multiple different types of chocolate in it(chunks and chips, dark, semi-sweet, and milk), and it was delicious. There is a nice seating area with couches, as well a open booth seats inside, plus an outside patio seating area. Not a lot of outlets if you need to charge any electronics, but still a good number of people relaxing and hanging out. We stayed for about two hours chatting, and never felt rushed to go. Service is warm. There is one unisex bathroom and it’s clean. There is no minimum for credit cards. Also they’ll give you a punch pass card if you plan on coming frequently, and the barista very sweetly punched my card 5 times«to get me started.»

They weren’t messing around when they called this place«Rock’n.» The caramel XTC latte is something upon which dreams can be based. Senses working overtime indeed! Get the Velvet Underground blend beans to brew at home and you’ll be «beginning to see the light» with your morning cup or three. Hip place with literary locals, who can be seen in the comfortable chairs inside or outside at the café tables hammering away on laptops or reading scholarly journals. Courteous, professional, and knowledgeable staff. I am certain that you won’t hear cooler music at any coffee house elsewhere in western Union County suburbia.

I’ve come here a few times and had their specialty drinks(Nutty Irishman and Pumpkin Latte). Both came with cute designs on the top and were delicious. I am a huge fan of the staff here, who are super friendly and the drinks they make are amazing. The seating is tight but it’s comfortable and you can always take the drinks/food outside to enjoy. Definitely one of my favorite coffee spots now.

One of the first coffee shops to offer alternative milks(almond and soy). Their sandwiches and treats are all delicious you can’t go wrong. This location also uses bread by Breadsmith bakery on their sandwiches. *I only wish they had more gluten free options. But the staff is friendly and the coffee very fresh! Cheers!

This coffeehouse is extremely passionate about coffee, the house specialties include creative expresso drinks such as ‘The Van Halen’(expresso with vanilla/hazelnut syrup and steamed milk), ‘milky way’(caramel, chocolate expresso), ‘Nutty Irishman’(hazelnut, Irish cream expresso) amongst others. Rockn’ Joe’s has a range of flavors and offers different styles. They brew their coffee to SCAA standards, which means this speciality coffee house makes quality their highest priority where the producer to the roaster, to the barista, and finally to us, the consumer, are getting quality coffee with a commitment to standards. Service is always prompt and friendly. I’ve tried some house specialties, but I always get different blends of the ‘frozalita’(I don’t believe iced coffee should only be enjoyed in the summer). Hopefully they’ll include some vegan treats in the future ;)
