5 of us went there for Father’s day dinner. The food was really good — Chicken Picatta, Seafood Diablo, sirloin steak, pasta with pink vodka sauce and chicken, cheesecake, gelato — all of it was tasty, well prepared, more than enough and made our trip a wonderful time. The chocolate martini was really good and Old Fashion drink was made correctly. This is my 4th review and have and will go back often, however I still think they need to focus on quality/professionalism of table service and the level of noise from the work areas. I would recommend getting a table well away from the back server/busboy area(near entrance to back bar) as there was always 5 – 8 people there, clinking dishes, glasses, adding ice, etc. and dozens of others constantly walking through — reminds me of Hoxie 4 corners on Friday afternoon. I love the bar area as it is surprisingly quieter and I have always received better service from them; I just think the bartenders are more experienced in service. Overall, our service was very erratic with server, busboys, and food runner all coming at various times and doing things — not refilling all the waters at once, removing only some of the dirty dishes, and one time, the busboy reached over the couch chair we were in to serve our bread, rather than walking around the couch chair corner and doing it correctly. Regardless of these things, the building is beautiful, the food plentiful and delicious. I will go back, but for me, I would like for service to be more professional, focused and organized.

Stopped in with family(party of approximately 22) after my nephew’s graduation from high school. The restaurant was mostly empty on a Saturday afternoon save for 2 other tables, and while I’m aware that it obviously takes longer to serve a group this large, it was nearly a half hour before we were even asked to take our order– which then took another 30 minutes to begin rolling out. A number of the orders were incomplete, with the waiter offering an apology each time, and the food which did make it to table without incident was largely unremarkable at best. A simple chicken sandwich was one of the last things to make it to table… The broiled codfish was maybe the only dish of note. Save yourself the letdown and stop in at any of the other restaurants in the complex. Even Johnny Rockets is preferable.

Can’t say I loved this place. Food is fine, waitstaff is not well trained. Arrived for a mid-week lunch and waited while the hostess chatted on the phone. She avoided eye contact. A trio of elderly ladies arrived and walked right past myself and the business associate I was with. Another hostess appeared and didn’t verify who was first. She tried to seat them first which my dining companion had an issue with. We weren’t there to chat –it was clearly a business lunch. Eventually we were seated. The trio were seated after us and served before us. We were under a time constraint but the waiter didn’t read the signs. Decided to roll out the red carpet for the retired ladies out for a casual lunch. «Let me tell you about the specials, here are the menus, thanks for coming, etc etc» When we were finally served, he tried to offer us wine. I was wearing a tie and it was Tuesday! He took our lunch order, and when he noticed were having entrees only, he reached over me to remove the salad fork. His arm was right in my face. I was in the middle of a conversation so it was rude and a distraction. He was oblivious.(I just can’t stand it when the waitstaff are constantly interrupting and trying to clear things that don’t need to be cleared. They’re trying to make their life easier instead of providing great service, in my opinion.) I had the 7 Green salad and added shrimp. The salad was good, and not too much dressing. The three shrimp that came with the salad(which added $ 6 to the bill) were very small. Three shrimp? $ 2 each? My dining companion’s burger looked good. We left shortly after finishing. The trio of ladies are probably still there chatting away… I won’t hurry to return. Inexperienced waitstaff and hostesses. Really disappointing.

One of the most romantic restaurants with great food! The bread is fresh with a crunch to the crust and soft and fluffy inside. The lamb chops were the best I’ve had evah! The smashed potatoes also the best. The brussels sprouts were also a hit at our table. Service was attentive. Very happy we took the ride from Providence.

Just left this restaurant. First, my mom had to ask 4 times for bread. We ordered a beet salad(which was very good) but then 2 different times after we ate the salad the wait staff bought more beet salad. We are honest and told them that we already ate our salad and had them send it back. I ordered the paella. About halfway through I dug my fork into the middle and a baby bee came flying out! I watched it die on my plate. All they did was comp my meal. Not even my drinks! Or a dessert! What if I was allergic. Terrible experience.

Since my husband and I frequent The Chapel Grille on a regular basis, it was time to provide another update regarding this gorgeous venue. For the past two weeks, we had the pleasure of having Tara as our server and a wonderful assistant, Andy. They both provide top-level service with kindness and promptness. The food remains consistently delicious, particularly the special beet salad and the brussel sprout hearts prepared with bacon and egg. Rigatoni Bolognese is plentiful and rich tasting with great red sauce, or as described in RI, «gravy.» This week a special dessert was offered which was spectacular. It was a meringue covered bombe consisting of chocolate cake with coffee ice cream and a caramel drizzle. The beautiful ambiance, the great service, and the really scrumptious dessert after a great meal accompanied by the charming and talented soloist, Tony Cerbo, certainly make our dining event a five star experience!

Per usual, service was phenomenal, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was excellent! We’ve been here many times, and have never been disappointed! The Chapel Grille is a truly beautiful restaurant for couples or families.

Beautiful décor with a nice view. however, I think this restaurant is Completely overrated .Can’t wait for the hype to end .Too noisy. Too tight. Tables too close to each other .Wait time between courses much too slow. Terrible service. Food just fair. A+ for presentation of dishes but subpar on quality and taste. High prices needed to Pay their fancy rent ! An Arrogant manager on duty, when needed to address issue. I don’t plan on returning

This place absolutely BLOWS!!! I had I eat hear again because of a friends birthday dinner. And it sucked even more than my first review the only other time I came here to eat. I had the Paella at something like $ 29 for mush over cooked bland rice AND A LOTOFTHISRICE, two chicken Friggen tenderloins. 2 warm water shrimp that stunk. 2 little necks with both shells broken and mixed in rice that nearly broke my tooth not once not twice but yea you get it… Maybe two muscles and just s bunch of suck. I hate this place it is a certified rip off and a laughing stock among us real industry folks. Do something. Re brand, Sell or please just close and Go Away!

Chapel Grille is just ok. I’ve now been twice and wasn’t really impressed either time. They have a great looking cocktail list, but if you aren’t into vodka your options are pretty limited. Also, the drinks are just ok… nothing special and if not consumed quickly when super cold, they taste thick/syrupy and not that great. The wine list is pretty extensive and they do have a decent variety of by the glass options. The first time I went, I had a pizza and salad. The second time I went, I ordered nothing because they don’t have any vegan options on the menu and I don’t remember the food being that great the first time. The bar is crowded and noisy so service(while friendly) is pretty slow. The building itself is interesting, but not enough to make me a regular here.

We started with a bottle of wine and calamari. Calamari was a slightly on the chewier side, but good otherwise. I got the chicken scaloppine with the Marsala and mushroom sauce, mash potatoes, and green beans. Chicken was delicious, cooked perfectly, very moist. My boyfriend got the baked stuffed sole, which was also tasty. Overall the experience was good, prices are a little high for what it is. You’re basically paying for the atmosphere, which is lovely, warm, and inviting. The only real complaint I have is our server kept filling up our wine glass, which is a little presumptuous, especially when they give you the option to take it home if you don’t finish. However the food was hot and came out in a timely manner.

We were at the Chapel Grille yesterday April 1st, 2016 at 5:30pm. For a party of four. Before i went here i read some of the reviews. I read the good and the not-so-good reviews. Everyone in our table were absolutely happy with their meals and service was excellent. Three of us are world travelers, we have eaten at the best restaurants. Specially my husband and I, we have def eaten in upscale restaurants. In reading some of the not so good reviews. I am not sure why they didn’t like the food. I ordered a few things: Oysters(were out of this world), Lamb Chops, Clam Chowder, Calamari and it was awesome. The rest ordered Pasta, Swordfish and Salad.. Everything was cooked to perfection, the presentation was perfect. The dessert was exquisite. I never say this about many restaurants but Chapel Grille, everything we had was excellent. This is little gem tucked in Cranton, RI Now the service: We had the best waiter, his name is James. He explained everything, and was very helpful and explaining the specials and answering any questions we had. He was on top of our drinks. Service was superb. We also ordered a French White Wine which was surprisingly good. My husband doesn’t like carrot cake. He had carrot cake here and was in love with it. I usually don’t eat raw oyster, but here it was excellent i had more than one. So i have to say food+service=exquisite and excellent. The décor is beautiful as well. Stepping into this building coupled with the food and service you will feel like you are worth a few million dollars. :)

Really beautifully decorated, and they have great happy hour appetizer specials half price! I believe you can also get half-price bottles of wine at happy hour as well. Very interesting Décor, the service is pretty good, and the menu although not extensive, has some good options.

Last night we had dinner at this beautiful restaurant. The dinner was delicious, stuffed sole. The entertainment was awesome. If you haven’t had the pleasure of listening to Tony Cerbo, you are missing something wonderful. There was a party who wasnt interested… so by all means sit downstairs or dont come on a night there is amazing entertainmrnt. He sings every Friday! Come and enjoy him! All in all it was a great night. We were also pleased that the manager rectified our bill. We were going to pay $ 3.50per oyster while another patron at the bar would pay $ 1.00 at the same time .it should not have made any difference what seat we were in because we came early and bought a bottle of wine and planned on dinner. Thank you for appreciating good customers!

Love this restaurant ! I love the whole place! The food, staff, design and the story behind it. We stopped in for a early dinner. It was perfect! We were seated on the first floor. Which was great ! I was able to take in the whole place. There’s a nice back bar with seating and in the summer a perfect outside patio area. The inside area where the grill seems to be you can look up at the steeple. I am fascinated with the design. I should mention. The food was wonderful!!! You can go early and have pizza, a app and wine for a very reasonable price. I definitely recommend going for a great experience.

The absolute best thing about Chapel Grille is the building itself. This place is stunning! Second best thing — «rush hour» happy hour at the bar. Skip 5pm 95 traffic and you’re rewarded with half price apps and a rotating list of other specials. I haven’t seen it advertised lately but have been in years past when happy hour included cheap wine and drinks. That made it twice as nice. Outside of décor, location, and happy hour specials, the rest of my experiences here have been decent. Not stellar, not poor, but a-okay. The food is good, portions are okay, service is decent. If you’re looking for a nice place to dine out, this is a good option but I would look for specials first since it can get pricey without them.

I have only visited for brunch and that is what my review is based on. We were a party of about 12 and had a great seat near the windows in the furthest room. The servers were attentive in refilling beverages. It did become somewhat of an obstacle trying to weave between chairs from nearby tables as the place filled up fairly quickly. Overall, the brunch was good. If you are watching your waistline, there were plenty of opportunities to eat healthier. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, baguette French toast, salmon, chicken, prime rib, smoked salmon, fruit, bagels/toast/cream cheese, an omelette and pasta station as well a plethora of sweets and desserts to choose from. I would have liked to see an option for Belgian waffles or pancakes, I can’t have a whole one at brunch but would love to share of have a bit of it. I would definitely be back here, the food was good, service on point and the inside of Chapel Grille is very beautiful. It was good to go first thing when they opened(10am) as they got very busy by the time we left.

Really nice space, with a nice bar and several dining rooms. Everything our table ordered was really good. The best entrée was certainly the paella. Service was very attentive. They also have a very good wine list with lots of options at different price points.

The good– WOW that was a crazy cheap night. Very unexpected given my past experiences there. It was Wednesday 10 dollar beer and burger night. The salad I ordered was half price due to the time it was ordered and eating at the bar. What a nice surprise! My glass of wine was a very reasonable 7 dollars for a vintage that I’ve seen for more at other bars. And that bar is stunning. I love the look of it. The bad– Three bartenders in not a crazy busy bar and it was hard to get service. I ordered wine, the bartender put out an empty glass and then… nothing. 15 minutes later I had to ask another bartender to fill it. Our meals came with a slew of mistakes, wrong french fries, dressing not on the side, no ketchup. Normally, none of that would’ve been a big deal but again, we could not get the bartenders attention to fix the errors. After ten minutes of trying we finally asked the bar back to help us out. My salad had the smallest piece of grilled salmon on it I’ve ever seen. More of a salmon kabob then something that would make up a meal. By the time a fly flew into my friends beer and we AGAIN tried to get the bartenders attention to order another round, we realized that it just wasn’t going to happen. Disappointed. We really wanted to have a nice meal and instead got a very frustrating experience.

This is my favorite restaurant. Really! Each room has its own unique and warm feel to it. You can make any special requests/reservations(like where you want to sit) through the Unilocal app which is awesome! The service is great. The waiter we had knew everything about the menu which is comforting when your waiter knows all the ingredients of each dish, especially if you have any food allergies. They also offer different specials for each day of the week, on top of their entrée specials. One time they offered a special that was a competition between the chefs to each make a dish! The food is fresh and you can tell, with moderate portion sizes but a bit on the pricy side. Everything I have had is delicious! Not to mention how crazy good the desserts are. I love coming here it really is just so beautiful!
