My daughter and I visited yesterday and purchased a number of cheeses, meats and accompaniments for a little wine and cheese party we threw together quickly. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating, offering us a taste of anything we asked for making it easy to choose exactly what we wanted. They have a wonderful variety of cheeses. We were pleased with all our selections. Would be a great place to stop before heading off to one of the coastal wineries. We’ll definitely return.

I’ve had my groupon for a few months. Looking forward to visiting. Have not been yet. Can anyone suggest a super sharp cheddar preferably from the good olé USA? Also, byob? Awesome! Love the photos everyone is posting… Definitely looking forward to it!

So glad my husband and I found this place! For just $ 25, my husband and I got a beautiful board of five cheeses and four meats with accompaniments of olives, apricots, rose petal confit, candied pecans, and hot pepper relish. We knew which meats we wanted, and asked for a cheese selection that would go well together. We were not disappointed! The perfect lunch for two, and BYOB to boot. Locally baked bread and a wide selection of meats and cheeses including locally-sourced items make this a local gem and a must see!

Awesome time. Got the large meat and cheese platter. Delicious. We brought some wine and had a wonderful afternoon. The service should also be mentioned… very friendly, helpful, and personable. We’ll be back.

Went in a few weeks back on a Saturday morning to check out this new business. It was so nice inside, a few tables/chairs to eat in, and great cheeses to purchase. Wonderful selection of local, domestic, and European cheeses. Such a great addition to this area. Wonderful owner — she’s so helpful and a delight to chat with. Have since been back for lunch with a friend. We had the most amazing large cheese board. We picked a couple of items and then let the owner make selections that would go nicely with those flavors. First of all, it was so much food, that I’ll certainly pick this up again to entertain at home. Secondly, it was AMAZING. The bread was delicious, the assortment of cheeses and meats was perfect, and the side condiments with it were out of this world. That mustard and fig jam they have are some of the best I’ve ever had. Try the espresso rubbed cheese, it’s amazing. And it’s one of the few places here to find cheese curds — perfect for poutine!

Mmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmustard, we started our journey in the parking lot, because having parking is Awsome. Enter cheese nirvana, your experience continues as you are walked through the cheese choices and then you move on to the meat menu.(We had the works) Mmmmmmmm As we waited for our platter to be prepared, we enjoyed our BYOB and marveled that there was parking. And here it comes, served on half of a tree, our smörgåsbord had arrived. Mustard, apricots, pickles, local honeycomb, super fresh bread and pecans surrounded our cheese and meat selection. We will return to our new favorite sweet salty and savory sensory experience very soon. The cheese date was a success for both the wife and I!

The owners were kind enough to host a girls pint out beer share event for us. It’s a small place and if you look quick you may miss it. Don’t miss it or you will miss out on some great cheese. The wonderful cheeses are all on display in the case and there are a lot to choose from. We had a beautiful tray of them. A gooey Brie, a tangy cheddar, a funky blue, and a beer infused mustard seed cheese. It was arranged with some cornichorns and served with jam and crusty bread. I could have made a meal of it but we also had some sandwiches. One was roast beef and cheese. Warn and cheesy goodness. The staff was super nice and answered all our questions. The prices seem reasonable. I bought two cheese to go, a double crème Brie and a honey lavender goat. It was about 14 $ for both of them. Some reviews were complaining about the hours they are open but as this is a small local business I imagine they probably have a family to take care of which may be why it’s open limited hours. It’s worth heading over for lunch one day for sure. There’s also usually a groupon available if you want to get a good deal. Definitely check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

1. Awesome selection of meats and cheeses. some familiar, but many unknown and intriguing(can’t think of specific right now, but duck and pâté come to mind). 2. Local selections of jams, crackers, and pickles. AND Yacht Club sodas. 3. Delicious array of samples. When you walk in 4. Helpful, patient owner who accommodated a holiday tray different then what was on her menu 5. Not only #4. But the day before said holiday. 6. Additional gift selections that are high qualityto pair with food selections for all the cheese afficionados in your life.(I have many) 7. Friendly and generous owners who WANT you to sample before you purchase. ***can you tell I’m excited to have found this gem? 8. Bonus: Noodle/Tea House right next door!

This little shop came to our attention through Groupon. Turns out it is owned by the same person who owns the great Breakfast Place in Attleboro. We brought our own wine and ordered the $ 25 meat and cheese platter which comes with a choice of 4 meats and 5 cheeses. When the platter arrived at our table it was garnished with a small ramekin of fig jam, a dollop of delicious honeycomb, some cornichons, some dried apricots, a sweet pepper relish and a basket of bread. Plenty for three hungry people. We expected only one or two tables, but there were more and the room was comfortable and welcoming for lunch. We stayed for about an hour enjoying the music food and wine. So glad we found the place. My daughter lives in nearby Providence and is looking forward to a return visit with her boyfriend.

My neighbors and I have been saying for years that Pawtuxet village area needs a cheese and meat shop. And this place delivers, they have an outstanding selection of old and new favorites of cheese, Pâté and charcuterie. For $ 20 you can get a great plate of delights to enjoy at home or bring your own tray and they will make up the board for you to bring to your favorite neighbors house for dinner. Better than bringing that same bottle of wine! They also serve great sandwiches for lunch… eat in or take out. Worth the drive on the weekend to come for lunch and leave with some different items than what you would find in your local supermarket.

Great addition to the Edgewood food scene, but the hours need to expand if they want to cultivate customers among those of us who shop after work.

Had a wonderful lunch at Edgewood. The owner was very nice and very informative. We had the meat and cheese board and it was excellent. There is cheese to taste and the owner will answer any questions! There are four tables inside and it was very comfortable and cozy! Great place to stop before entertaining to pick up cheeses, meats, and more! You can bring in your own wine if you so desire as well. We left very happy and will certainly return!

I stopped into the Edgewood Cheese Shop the day I got home from the hospital with our newborn baby. I had wanted to try this place for sometime, but the hours are it conducive for people that work 8−5… Anyway, I popped in to check it out, and the woman behind the counter was super nice and generous. While I was reviewing the menu, she suggested I sample some of the cheeses that she had on display. They were delicious, as were the accompaniments. I ordered the Ari sandwich and told the woman that I literally just got home from the hospital with our newborn, and that I was going to run to CVS while the sandwich was being made. When I returned, in addition to the delicious sandwich, she had prepared a to-go container of several different cheeses to sample(smoked mozzarella, roasted garlic cheese curds, and brie), along with herb mustard and strawberry jam with bread. I literally teared up! So generous! I highly recommend you carve out time and give this place a try!

What a fabulous little place! Tried some of the best gouda I’ve ever had in my life. It looks like they do a free tasting pretty much every day, and have a great assortment of crackers and salami as well. It would be great if they were able to stock a few bottles of wine to go with — this would be my one stop shop for casual entertaining! I’ve been in twice so far, and both times the staff have been super helpful and obliging. Casey is fun to talk to and has an infectious enthusiasm for what he does. They only opened a few weeks ago, and there’s definitely room for cosmetic improvements, but they’re on the right track with the spacious hardwood tables inside and the display of cheese and wine accessories available for purchase. I’d love to see this place take off! It’s a refreshing change from the uninspired«quantity over quality» supermarket mentality. A great addition to the community!

I’ve been meaning to try this place since I’d heard it opened and I finally got a chance recently. The reason it took me so long was because from the outside it looks very dark. You can’t see inside and it always looked like it might be closed to me. One afternoon I happened to walk by and saw the sign they have outside and decided to stop in for a late lunch to go. It was quiet inside but the staff was very friendly. I ordered the ham panini to go and sampled some cheese while I waited. The cheese was great and I look forward to trying some cheese plate another time. I will say that I really enjoyed my sandwich and the little pickles that came with. As another reviewer mentioned it would be great to have additional side choices. The chips were good but they didn’t travel well. I think it’s a great addition to the neighborhood and I really look forward to trying additional sandwiches and other items.

The cheese is definitely the star here. Because of the great reviews, I decided to give this place visit for lunch. I ordered the Ari. The sandwich was great — the ham and mustard gave the right amount of kick in the flavor and the warm cheese dripped out onto the plate giving me something to scoop up with the chips. The owner was friendly and seemed really excited about his store. There are 4 tables in house that are casual and comfortable. They also have Yacht Club soda — I love when local businesses support other local businesses. Right now I think this place is set up more for the cheese plates or picking up cheese to go. This is a new business, so there is room to grow, but I think this is a great addition to the area. I do have a few suggestions because I think that it will be much easier to survive if the place was a little more versatile: invest in real plates for sandwiches, think about expanding the side selections(salad, fruit), work on the quality of the pickles, and keep the cheese the star.

Was super excited to hear about this place opening and finally got to try it out. Dear food gods! I got the Adrienne sandwich and it was unbelievable. Lots of Brie and roast beef. The fig jam was also amazing and worth every cent! I will definitely be back at least once a week!

The gf & I ordered the platter. It was awesome! Thanks groupon! The place has been open about three weeks. So give the lack of décor a break. If this place gets a liquor license it could be a huge hot spot! They however have a BYOB license, I didn’t know that when we went. The only recommendation I can give is to make little signs & put them on the platter so you know which meat is which & what cheese is what. I can’t wait to come back with a nice bottle of wine!

Say cheese! I popped in this new eatery with my friend for lunch today. While we waited to place our order at the counter, we nibbled on some free samples of delicious cheeses. We ordered the The Adrienne($ 8 Roast Beef and Brie with Fig Jam) and The Ari($ 8 Black Forest Ham and Sharp Cheddar with Horseradish Mustard) both served as a grilled pannini and cut in half. Of course, we each enjoyed a half of each sandwich and both were delicious! Large size, filling, fresh and tasty. My only complaint? Chips on the side & pickles. I’m trying to avoid those pesky potatoes; I wish there was an option to order a different side. Loved the mini pickles though! It’s a VERY small eatery with LOTS of cheese. If you’re looking for a cheddar to bring to your next in-home wine tasting, stop here. Their selection is great and their staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.
