Different location, same awesome Greek food! Lamb chops and kabobs are highly recommended!!! Started with the Mezza Plate… love it!

My husband moved here last year from Alberta, Canada & even tho we have amazing restaurants all over lil Rhody, we don’t have many Mediterranean restaurants & he loves kebabs. Our most recent visit to Efendi’s was as amazing as our first. Everything is so fresh & delicious. The food takes a bit of time to come out… because it’s made so fresh & to order. My husband always orders the mixed Turkish grill kebobs & I get the Atlantic salmon, which by the way… most restaurants use farm raised or pacific salmon not Atlantic salmon & you can totally taste the difference! Efendi himself usually comes to our table to inquire how the meal was which is always nice because you can tell he has pride in his food. I hope this restaurant gets more press because it really is a rare gem! The old location was close to garden city & this location is a bit more difficult to find(if you’re not from Cranston), but just use Siri people & get there! You won’t be disappointed. Including photos of our epic meals. :) The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm in inviting. I love the colors of the décor & the plates! Service is excellent, never had a bad experience here, one of our favorite spots.

I decided to try this place because I had just moved to the area and was looking for new places to eat. The place is right across from Benny’s so it’s easy to locate and has enough parking. The place is small but has a very authentic Greek atmosphere. We started with an appetizer. We had the calamari. The calamari was a little bready but the dipping sauce was fantastic! A little spicy but so much flavor! Best sauce for calamari I have ever had! For my dinner, I had there veggie pasta and added salmon. It was very filling. My friend had a steak kabob. He enjoyed it but had a few pieces that were too red for his liking. The dessert was great! They first bring you out a tray so you can view every dessert before trying. We decided on the bocalava. It was our first time eating it and we enjoyed it. Overall a good time. It’s family owned and the staff are very friendly. They also have belly dancing shows! I would give them a try! They offer take out too!

I ordered some take-out which was great! A huge Greek salad and some falafel. Both were fresh and delicious. Loved how the falafel wasn’t too greasy and came with tasty tzatziki and the feta they used in the salad wasn’t too salty or cheap. My only wish is that they would make their own dressings. Especially for the Greek salad. We will definitely order again

Ok, quick and simple. The atmosphere is really nice. So much potential to be a quant restaurant. Service not good. Staff is too young and doesn’t pay attention. We had no utensils, had to ask for bread that others recieved. Appetizer was cold. How does food come out cold? My wife’s food came out before mine. Had to ask for mine a few minutes later, and still the pasta I ordered with my meal was cold. How does that happen when it took so long after my wife’s meal came out. This tells me the servers don’t pay attention and do not know what meals go together. I had to ask for grated cheese for my pasta twice before getting it. We passed on dessert, but that didn’t mean we didn’t want coffee as our check came after saying no to dessert. As we paid and were getting ready to leave, the guy at the table next to us asked the server after he ordered steak how come she didn’t ask how he wanted it cooked as she was walking away. She turned around and asked and he said medium. She said, oh that is how we cook it anyways. Really? One and done for us. The two stars are for the atmosphere and the very reasonable wine list.

Haven’t been to Efendi’s since they moved to their new location. Service was great, our server was super sweet! Dinner was good; portions were plentiful. I had a chicken salad plate which was delicious and fresh. My husband had a Greek dinner plate and I thought it was mediocre for the price. No pita was served with the gyro meat, ordered it for a nominal additional charge. Gyro meat tastes like frozen meat but it was still tasty. We had baklava for desert and it was very good. Overall, food was good however, I think that for the quality of the food it is somewhat overpriced. Baklava was $ 7.75 for a 2×3 slice cut in four. Nice ambience, good food however, probably won’t be back as we can get better quality and fresher Mediterranean food elsewhere for less.

I love this restaurant!!! I just went a few days ago with my family and my girlfriend everyone had a great meal. We started with a Sampler platter that had hummus, stuffed grape leaves, Rice, and meat that was so good. My meal was so delicious and it was salmon with roasted vegetables. I’ve never had a bad meal this restaurant and I look forward to coming here again real soon.

This place is amazing both for dinning in and take-out. For take-out, they will open each box to show you what you are getting. It cannot get better than this! They are honest and friendly. My partner is a great fan of Medtn food and this place is super legit! The lamb dish is hands-out the best even if you get take-out!!! This is now officially our take-out go-to!!!

Do you like Michael Bolton? Then come on down to Effendi’s! You’ll be serenaded by the sweet sounds of the saxophone while you’re eating. We had a Groupon so we checked this place out. It was kind of sad, there were only two other tables occupied on a Saturday night. The staff is really pleasant, service was good. We ordered the mezzo plate which was delicious, but did not come with enough pita bread. Having to spend $ 2 more for extra bread is ridiculous, since you didn’t give me enough to begin with. I couldn’t help but wonder if that was why there were so few people in there on a weekend. The wine was great, no complaints there. I ordered the beef kafte, it was good. Be warned that your breath will stink for a while, Greek food is strong! But I knew that going in. My wife ordered a big salad, looked delicious, but none of their dressings are made in house. I found that a bit odd for an authentic Mediterranean place. Maybe next time, there will be some fun Greek music playing ;)

We went here tonight because we had a groupon. I’m glad we tried it because the food is incredibly fresh. The hummus is,“outrageous” my husband says. The mezza plate is delicious at Efendi’s and absolutely worth getting. One cautionary note is that the groupon is for entrees only, so the mezza is extra. If you can go with 3 people so you can split it because it is a nice portion for a group. Efendi himself came out to say hello at the end of the meal and it was nice to meet him. It made me feel like we had dinner at his house. I wish we had room for dessert, but we were full. Check this place out if you like fresh, reasonably priced delicious Mediterranean food.

This place offered the most incredible experience for my wife and I. The food was to perfection, the portions were phenomenal and Donna who served us was extremely tentative and wonderful to talk with. It was also a treat to meet the chief who had prepared our food in person and took the time to talk with us. My comment to the reviewers with Groupon. Stop being so cheap and blaming restaurants because you couldn’t get takeout or certain conditions apply. If you’re a loyal customer be loyal and recognize the hard work that goes into owning a small restaurant or business. You want to save a buck go to McDonalds.

Groupon in hand my husband and I venture to Cranston to find this place… it is next to the Bennys on Atwood Ave — made me slightly afraid but I had an open mind(my initial feelings were justified in this case though!). Place is tiny and first thing I noticed was that there was no bar… the alcohol they serve is just kind of piled on a table, odd. I didn’t realize the place would be so much more low rent than there other location that used to be on Reservior ave I believe. The waitress was very nice — she was young and probably new, felt bad for her. The food however was not good — the salad was ok but the bread was stale and the oil provided had no taste. I asked for some butter and she brought me a chunk of margarine — yuk! My husband said his kabobs(lamb) were ok but I ordered the chicken marsala and there was not a trace of marsala wine in the entrée, I think it was made with water and chicken broth maybe. In addition to that I selected angel hair as my pasta choice and I was served a slightly slimmer fettuccine. I asked about it and was told it was what they considered angel hair??? I would not bother coming here again even with a Groupon. We gave my leftovers to the dog, she liked it.

Kind of sad, a light bulb was out next to our table, a waitress missed her bus and they were short on staff, my Greek salad lacked dressing and feta. The bread that I had to ask for was stale. We won’t return. And as bad as the food was, they ask way too much for it.

Came with a Groupon for dinner. The design and style of the restaurant is very nice with pleasant soft music playing in the background. There was one server and a hostess, who was very helpful and pleasant, but with only a few tables of customers the restaurant seemed very understaffed. The time between having water brought to the table, to receiving bread 15 minutes later, then the oil for the bread another 10 minutes later, seemed to drag on and on. After hearing in great detail from the waitress the limitations on how the Groupon could be used(she made it clear we could not order only appetizers, which wasn’t the plan but she started her speech before asking, and certain main dishes were apparently not allowed with Groupon use) we went ahead and ordered Turkish kofte and chicken kabob dinners. We chose rice and mixed vegetables to come with the ground meat kofte and kabob, and those two items were the stars of the meals. Very tasty rice and a nice side of mixed, grilled veggies. The chicken kabob however was very dry and lacked any real seasoning. The kofte was far more dry, it lacked any moisture at all, and needed to be coated in the, good tasting, white sauce to be eaten. While the ambience is nice with lovely decorations, the long wait-times/staffing issues and sub-par entrees make it hard to recommend.

Excellent all the way around. Had great food — tried a special of lobster ravioli topped with shrimp in pink vodka sauce. Tas-tee! Hot bread w/oil pleasant. Service was great, and owner came out personally to visit all patrons which says a lot. Top notch for me.

We have been going here on and off over the past 6 months since they opened thier new location. We have never had a bad experience. Recently we called and ordered take out and notified girl on phone we had groupon. When We arrived to pick up owner came out of kitchen and would not honor groupon because it was for dine in only. That was not stated in the groupon anywhere. Felt kind of lousy considering weve been going there often. Left a sour taste in my mouth. Well be going elsewhere in the future. No way to treat loyal customers.

Clean, quaint little Greek place. For an appetizer, we ordered the calamari; it came with a sauce I can best describe as hot sauce with olive slices in it. Not bad. For the main course, I had the Greek Plate, and my date ordered the Chicken Marsala. Her’s was quite delicious, and mine was forgettable, honestly. Too much rice and salad, not enough substance. I also ordered a glass of wine, which I sent back because there was quite a lot of lint on the inside of the glass. Would be willing to try again, though.

So glad to see Efendi’s back! Delicious meal, so tasty and appetizing. Will have to return because my friends and I all had a hard time making just one meal choice. So many delicious options on the menu. Friendly staff and the owner came around to chat and check on us. Hoping to see the Triple Berry dessert make a return for our next visit!

THESERVICEWASHORRIBLE and the incompetent staff didn’t even know how to redeem a Groupon. We were waiting FOREVER for our food and WAITEDOVER30MINUTES for the waitress to bring our bill back and got so tired of waiting we even had to go into the kitchen to pay. Even after all that NOONEWOULDHELPUS and the waitress NEVERCAMEBACKTOOURTABLE so we walked out. MYFAMILYWILLNEVERGOBACK and we will tell everyone we know to STAYAWAY from this TRAINWRECK of a «restaurant».

My boyfriend and I had a Groupon for Efendi’s, so we decided to try it for dinner tonight. Best decision of our lives! The food was delicious, the staff was super friendly, and Efendi made a point to visit every table to ask how everything was and chat a bit. Everything about this place shows how much passion he has for his craft! We started with the calamari appetizer. The sauce is what made the dish! I got the balsamic chicken, and my boyfriend got the lamb kebabs. Both came with rice pilaf and seasoned mixed vegetables. The meats were cooked perfectly! Then we finished off with chocolate cake(they ran out of baklava). I can’t stress enough how delicious everything was! The restaurant itself is a cute little place, although it doesn’t look like much from the outside. Thank God for the Groupon, or we may never have discovered this place! The only advice I have is bring a sweater– the ac was a little high! :P So yeah, definitely a 5 star experience! From the owner being so hands on and friendly to the cute atmosphere and the amazing food, my boyfriend and I will be going back over and over and over! :)

Appearance: Maybe it’s just me but it bothered me that there were 3 different kinds of light fixtures and different bulbs throughout. The lights were very dim and would randomly get brighter or more dim. Clean tables and chairs as well as real flowers in the vases on the tables. Service: Our waitress, Donna, was nice but maybe new to serving? She read the specials off of a piece of paper(not a big deal in my opinion), constantly said that everything was fresh(which kind of made me feel like it would be the opposite because of how much she said it), we waited a while for our drinks(it was not busy enough to justify us waiting as long as we did), and she randomly filled up our glasses with water halfway through the meal despite us having drinks already. The time for water was when we sat down. Midway through the meal, Efendi himself stopped at each table totalk to customers and make sure that everything was ok. Food: While we waited for our food, we munched on bread and dipping oil. The bread tasted fresh and yummy. We got the baba ganoush for an appetizer. Delicious! I wish there had been more pita to eat this with and I preferred the flavor of the bread with the baba ganoush rather than the pita. For our entrée I got the mixed kabobs(chicken, lamb & beef) and my boyfriend got the beef kabobs. The meats were cooked perfectly and I really liked the flavors. The veggies were perfectly cooked as well though there was just a little too much dill? on them for my taste but my boyfriend thought it was just right. I enjoyed the food but other than the baba ganoush, it just did not make me say«wow».
