Went in on a Sunday at 2pm it didn’t appear to be that busy however every table was dirty with past meals and we couldn’t find a clean table. My cherry coke was flat and my wife’s sprite didn’t have any syrup, tasted like club soda. The meals came out wrong. Just a poor overall experience.

We took the kids to Johnny Rockets on a recent Sunday afternoon. It was in the two o’clock hour so we could avoid the lunchtime rush. The restaurant was half empty but there were only 4 people total working the kitchen, tables and hosting. We were asked to wait to be seated because of the shortage of staff. After a wait, we were seated and the waiter took our order. We received our food in a decent time but we watched several tables come and go and not be cleared. I’m not sure why, but every time we eat at a Johnny Rocket’s there seems to be a shortage of staff and a delay with the food. With two small children, I want to get it, order, eat and pay the bill. Until the kids request Johnny Rocket’s again, it’s off the list.

A horrible experience. Stopped in for lunch over the holidays to grab a quick bite with my kids but couldn’t get any service. We waited in line for TWENTY minutes and no one even made eye contact. I finally stopped the manager and asked if we were supposed to seat ourselves. he said someone would be with us shortly. Finally offered a seat and ten minutes later we were STILL waiting for someone to offer us a drink or even acknowledge us. The servers and management seemed to be overwhelmed by the half empty restaurant. Dirty tables everywhere and lots of customers who looked like they were waiting for their drinks or checks. Maybe Johnny Rockets didn’t have enough staff scheduled or whatever but after 30 minutes of no service we left. Headed down the road to Red Robin and we were seated with drinks in a matter of minutes. I’ve been to JR’s for lunch before and while the food is good, thepoor hospitality and lack of management is always an issue. Sorry JR, I can take my $ 40 or $ 50 and go eat at a place that understands basic restaurant management.

My rating is not based off service which was amazing, but the food. Unfortunately Bgood was closed last night so I hit up Johnnys. Burgers we’re soaked in grease my bun fell apart in 2 bites, and I think Wendy’s is way better. I’m super disappointed JR hasn’t stepped up their game with the quality of their ingredients, I would love to see healthier options available. And this location smelled like a bathroom mop and looked dirty. I advise if u want to treat yourself to a burger just go to Wendy’s…

This evening I visited Johnny Rockets in Chapel View for dinner. I was immediately taken back by the appearance of the line cook — I don’t care what her argument may be but neck tattoos are repulsive and demonstrate a history of poor decision making. Poor decisions were also made today during the preparation of my meal. I ordered my dinner(burger, onion rings and a drink) from a friendly waiter. While my burger was cooking, I watched the above-described line cook don food service gloves and begin compressing the contents of the trash barrel with her hands. She then handled the drain screen for the soda dispenser with these gloved hands. She then returned to the grill area and handled my burger’s buns with hands adorned by the garbage-compacting gloves. She retrieved a piece of cheese from a draw refrigerator with these soiled gloves and placed it on my burger. She assembled the burger with these gloves that were just in the garbage and attempted to serve it to me. I refused the food and asked for a manager. The manager was horrified and overly-apologetic. I will never eat at this establishment again.

Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Also very affordable. We love Johnny Rockets and the fact that it’s close to home

Even though I don’t live that far away, this was only my second time getting food from this Johnny Rockets. We ate in a few years ago and it was nothing remarkable. After getting some coupons in the mail, we decided to try the delivery service on a Monday Afternoon after the lunch rush. The order taker had a hard time figuring out what we wanted, and I had to repeat myself several times to make him understand. It wasn’t complicated. A burger, chicken sandwich, onion rings/fries combo and a strawberry shake. After giving us a total, we were told it would take 15 to 20 minutes. I knew the time quoted was not enough so I gave them a little slack. after about 40 minutes we called to check on the status of the order. We were told it should be another 10 minutes or so. After I hung up with the store, the driver called asking us if we were in WARWICK, not Cranston. by the time they figured out where we were(not that complicated) about 50 – 55 minutes had gone by. The fries at this point were a little soggy, but the onion rings and sandwiches were still good. If they weren’t I would have called and complained. After this experience, I doubt I will get delivery from them again, but may eat in. I think its a little expensive for what you get.

Very slow service, ignoring other customers, even the entire staff disappeared for over 5 minutes while no one watched the front. Food was not high quality and extremely greasy. Fries and onion rings came out before burgers. Shake was tasty though. Looking to try something new but this place disappointed.

Service was good. Burgers were hot and tasty, but not worth what they’re charging you for it. 2 burgers and 2 shakes $ 28. We didn’t even get fries. The shakes were almost as much as the burgers. Never again!!!

My fiancé and I tried to go in tonight after playing mini golf down the street to have a milkshake and fries at 9:50pm. Apparently they close at 10. First of all, there is no signage stating the hours of operation. When we asked when they closed and they informed us, my fiancé and I asked if we could just have a quick milkshake since they don’t close for another 10 minutes. An employee informed us they had already shut everything down for the night. Having worked in the food service industry, I understand wanting to get out the door as close to closing as possible; however, if a customer walks in before you are officially closed it is your obligation to serve them or lock the doors. I will not return to this establishment. There are plenty of other options of places to go for food in the area. I hope this lands on the right ears and this type of behavior is corrected.

There are so many bad reviews that I felt I had to cross post my review that I posted on Google reviews from my recent experience. We came here only a couple weeks after having a horrible Johnny Rockets experience in Pennsylvania where we live and I have to say, the experience we had at the Cranston Johnny Rockets has completely restored our faith in the brand. Our server’s name was Asia. She was extremely accommodating, very friendly, and generally made us feel welcome. She took our orders and within minutes our appetizer was out(cheese fries, which were great) and around 5 – 7 minutes after that our food was out. I couldn’t believe it. Everything was hot and tasty. The burgers, as is typically the case with Johnny Rockets, were amazing. They are among the best burgers I’ve ever had. We didn’t have to wait at all to pay the check either, which is a pet peeve of mine. Overall this was not only the best Johnny Rockets experience we’ve ever had, but it ranks close to the top among the best experiences we’ve had at any eatery. Thank you Asia, thank you Johnny Rockets, and I’m really happy that I am able to post a review like this.

Cranston R.I.Chapel View. Burgers tasty but it was served on dirty plate. The waiter took my plate and wiped it instead of replacing w clean one. The rag to clean seat(first) was then used to clean the table top. Its not the cleanest place; the walls tables were equally gross. Behind the counter he used his hands as tissue for his nose. Place seems like job that hires kids, although friendly, have customer service experience. Will not come here again

We both tried the new chipotle summer specials. I had the chipotle hamburger and Joe had the chipotle chicken sandwich. Not at all spicy which is advertised. Fries are a separate order but were good. The place was messy, booths were not even clean. Doesn’t look like they had enough staff working during school vacation. Made sure my waitress was given a good tip. She was quite busy but was very attentive to our needs.

Not fast food Not fast casual Not worth it I’ll be brief — service was slow, and food was subpar in a bland way. The menu selection was what I expected, as were the prices and ability to get a seat. One bonus star for the nickel jukebox song plays that helped my kids while away the overlong wait time. Bottom line: I know why Johnny Rockets exists, and I can see the appeal of this nostalgic niche, but it doesn’t deliver. Everyone in my party of six walked out disappointed.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. I’ve worked in many restaurants so I understand completely the customers being hard to deal with and having a bad day and whatever the case may be. That being said, the majority of the employees there are LAZY, unsanitary and to say the least useless workers. Multiple times I have visited I just went to grab a shake. Pretty easy order. One employee actually asked me to wait a minute to order so they could finish texting someone. Poor service. Another time I was standing there like chopped liver waiting for 15 minutes to order a shake. Even more poor service. Then tonight, I went to get the last shake I will order from them after the employee made change and counted his tips before making my shake. The part that annoyed me is that no where inbetween did he wash his hands. Needless to say I’ll never be back there again. From a very dissatisfied customer Johnny Rockets. I would clear out your employees in that place. They are useless to your business.

A little bit of a wait for my takeout but I didn’t mind too much because I could look around and see how clean everything was. I was genuinely impressed, having worked in fast food before.

This is a kids place plain and simple. Made up to look a 50’s diner in somebodies dreams it fails to hit that mark either. Staff were excellent, price was a little high. Fries were good but the burger was not really. I would not go out of my way to go here again.

I wanted to treat my son to a fun lunch so we visited this place for the first time in a year or so. It looked the same as always if a little empty. We were told to sit anywhere and after we sat down I checked in on Unilocal and saw all the poor reviews. It seemed that there is a consensus of bad service and that’s pretty much what we experienced. Even though it was dead it took a long time for a server to come by. Gone are all the little extras that made it so much fun for my boys in the past: the paper hats, balloons, and a nickel for the jukebox. I was also surprised to see some changes on the menu since it hadn’t changed in years. My son had the mini hot dogs(a change from a regular hot dog) and I had a burger and O-rings. The onion rings were served quickly in a mini fry basket(fancy) and tasted about the same as I remembered. The food came out fast and the burger and hot dogs were tasty. The next time we saw the server she handed us the check, she did not inquire if we enjoyed the food(we did) or would like dessert(we didn’t). They make a tasty burger but the service is severely lacking.

I remember as a kid going to JR in Myrtle Beach, SC and being magically transported back to a simpler and happier time. The servers were so friendly and the food was amazing! When a great song would come on they would all dance and sing to choreographed numbers. It was a place I wanted to take my girlfriend to. On the drive there I was sooo excited and told her of the AWESOMENESS that await. Our experience in the Rhode Island JR was certainly awesome but in a horrible way. No one smiled, the food came out piece by piece instead of as a meal, during our order our server walked away without saying a word before we were finished. The quality of the food is disgusting. I could go on but I think you get the picture. Corporate should shut this place down today, fire the entire staff, rehire and train new people who don’t seem to rue the day they were born.

I have been to a couple of Johnny Rockets before, both in Providence, but this was my first time at the Cranston location. I enjoyed it, but and my kids loved it too. It’s a 1950’s themed burger and fries joint. This location is big, but bright and airy. But food is more important than atmosphere to me, so here are my thoughts. Pros– In the words of Samuel Jackson… «That’s a tasty burger, «a nice size and great taste. I also got the half fries/half rings on the side. Seemed like a good idea, but the rings weren’t nearly as good as the hot, but crispy fries. My kids loved their chicken fingers and hot dogs as well. They had shakes as well… Nothing to write home about. The brownie sundae we shared at the end was a generic factory made brownie with some decent ice cream on top. Cons: The sougherdough batter onion rings were tasteless and disappointments, and the shakes were surprisingly tasteless and unsatisfying as well… Somehow you became more thirsty after you drank them. Service: we clearly had someone new waiting on us, so it was less than adequate, but she was a bit overwhelmed. The people who work here work HARD, especially on the grill. They earn their money, hustling all over the entire time we visited. Overall, a fun and tasty place for lunch if you want a tasty burger and something a little different.
