Beautiful location cabin was more of a hotel room didn’t have much of a cabin feel. I thought it was a bit steep at $ 144. We had cabin b1. The staff was very nice. We spent the following night in the campground. Overall lovely stay. Look forward to coming back to camp next year.

Yes, National Park lodging is National Park lodging but this isn’t one of the best national park accommodations. Yes, it beats a tent but the rooms are outdated and the carpets are in need of a good cleaning. If you want to stay in this park, which is recommended, you only have 2 park hotels or camping to choose from. The room has a coffee maker but no refrigerator. The lodge offers you a free bag of ice per day but no in room ice bucket(???). We used the recycle can to cool our beer and milk(for breakfast). The stars right outside the cabins are stunning, as they are throughout this incredible park. Suck it up and stay here, just don’t expect 5-star accommodations. You’re paying for location, location, location :)

We stayed at J4. Be careful when you take a shower. The floor is collapsed in the middle. If you step in that part, you will easily slip. There’s a big spider in the shower but my son who took the first shower was brave enough to wash it off to the drain. The room is comfy and quiet. The window screens are torn. If you leave the windows open to get the fresh air and breeze, you will have itchy sleep as Mosquitos are everywhere and looking for spot to get in your room for their dinner. The 2 stars rating is because of the guy at check-in. While I was patiently waiting in line(I am the next), another couple came in. The staff immediately asked if he could help them, and totally ignored my presence. I believed he’s discriminated for my color skin. Also make sure to check your credit card statement because they will charge every room $ 1 automatically as «donation». I bet most of the room guest would just let it go as it’s a small amount compared to $ 144 room rate. But to my principal, I called them up for the dispute and the lady in charge(Vickie) didn’t even want to talk to me. After spending over 25 minutes on hold, I was told by the customer service that she would give me the refund.

If you have ever stayed in a National Park budget lodge, you are likely thinking the same way I was. My stay at the Yosemite Lodge was my standard, and I remember it not being an impressive one. Needless to say, The Cabins at Mazama Village exceeded those expectations by far. The cabins are cozy, charming, and with a killer view of the forest outside. Compared to other motels, you will likely find that they are missing a few items that are standard: phones and T.V.s. But I hope you are not at Crater lake to watch T.V. You will also find that they have several amenities that you may not expect, like hair dryers, fans, toiletries,(slow) free wi-fi, and NOBUGS. Yes, our little cabin was happily bereft of critters. So my rating is not in comparison to a hotel, but in comparison to lodging of a similar type. The other plus is that you will sleep in a comfortable bed and take a hot shower in your private bathroom, so that when you sit down to breakfast at the Annie Creek restaurant and your waitress asks you how you slept, you can say with absolutely no hint of irony that you slept very well, thank you. My only caveat: do NOT plug your devices into the wall outlets here. Doing so very nearly killed my phone. Logistics: entering from the south end of the park, Mazama Village is the first turnoff after you pay your National Park entry fee. You will check-in at the general store along with folks that are checking into the campground, so expect a long wait. But staff is super friendly once you get to the front of that line, and check-out is a breeze. You have to see Crater Lake at least once in your life, and this is a solid on-site option for those who, like me, hate camping. I would return.

Manzama Cabins are located just inside the entrance to Crater Lake National Park. That said our comparison is to other national park accommodations(Yellowstone, Yosemite, etc) not to the Hyatt or Hilton. There’s 4 rooms to a building. We didn’t hear our neighbors at all. Cabin is simple and rustic. 2 beds, a clean bathroom, table and 2 side chairs, coffemaker. No TV or phone. Wireless was a surprise and was on the slow side. OK for email but not for streaming. Would disconnect every once in a while, but was passable. Small store nearby with the basics, although at high prices. Not surprising and comparable to other national parks. Price comparable as well. If you’re visiting Crater Lake there aren’t many accommodations near Crater Lake, So if you want to stay at, or near, the park, and have a family Manzama is a good, reasonable choice. Just be sure you know what you’re getting and you’ll be fine.

My LEAST favorite stay on our vacation. Way overpriced due to the location. Rooms were adequate at best. If they had been true cabins, would have been OK with the price but you are sharing the building with 3 other units. Units were clean enough. No services of course(TV or wifi). We didn’t expect any but that didn’t make it less hard on the kids(and by extension us). I’m giving them 3 stars because the location can’t be beat and they have a store with lots of items, dining, and laundry facility(took advantage of that –but be aware that it is popular). Also, the picnic tables out front were really nice. Took a walk through the campsite to get our kids out of the tiny room where they were literally bouncing off the walls. Campsite was super crowded, which was to be expected for a national park. Not really my idea of vacation.

Location, location, location. Any where else this would be a $ 60 a night room. You are paying for staying in a national park. Very minimal room. No fridge or microwave, but they do provide you a bag of ice per night for your cooler. You get two beds, a coffee maker a small table with two chairs and a bathroom with a stand up shower. There are pick nick tables out front with a view of the woods and most people took advantage of this and had pick nick lunches or breakfast at them. The campers store and a restaurant are a short walk. The store has most staples and some microwave meals and a microwave available as well as a few convenience store items. The prices are what you would expect for a remote location in a national park(steep). Large pump bottles of shampoo, soap, and lotion are in the bathroom. In short not the kind of room you would want to spend much time in, but if you want a convenient place to crash after a long day exploring the park and can afford it this place is not bad.

I’m rating this 4 stars for what it is. You are up in the mountains with campsites. Having this roof over your head and clean sheets is worth 4 stars. We got in late at night. The registration was closed. We luckily saw some workers out leaving on their bikes. They were so helpful. If you arrive late at night. .The keys and your info will be in a folder over by the registration. Then you will head straight down the very dark road and the cabins will be on your right. It is a building with four doors and they are numbered so you know which one is yours. The doors are automatic locks so you should keep your key on your body. We felt safe and had 2 small children with us. Walls are thin, heard snoring from next door but drowned it out with some peaceful music on my phone. The bathroom was nice and large. No tub. It’s a stand up. I couldn’t adjust the temp though so I had a super hot shower. That was Downfall of the room. We only stayed one night. We booked room well in advance. We didn’t eat here. Planned on eating in Eugene so that we didn’t have to worry about food late at night. I would suggest the same. I would have cooler and something planned out for meals.

The cabins are actually four units under one roof. My unit appeared freshly painted and clean. The water out of the tap is cold and among the freshest I have tasted, coming from a nearby spring. There are two queen size beds that are on the hard side. The blankets are thin. A small heater really keeps the room warm. I had to barely turn the dial to get the temperature from being too hot. The toilet has a powerful flush(a good thing), except you can hear the neighbors flush. Other that that is was a quiet night. A store and the Annie Creek restaurant is nearby. One important tip: if you do a Google search for the address, it will lead you to an industrial park in White City, which is 30 minutes from Medford. This is their admin office, not their actual location, which is another hour and a half away.
