While staying at a nearby hotel, this was one of the few restaurants that were open until the later evening. We checked Unilocal reviews and took a chance … The food was awesome! We had catfish, oysters, shrimp and founder, all fried. Coleslaw, french fries and hushpuppies were served with it. It was all freshly fried to a perfect crisp and tasted great! The food was cooked and served quickly. It’s local and nothing fancy. I would definitely visit again and recommend to others!

Great catfish and hush puppies. Cornmeal breaded the way they should be. Extra crispy as requested. Friendly service. I eat a lot of catfish and this is one of Best in North Carolina.

This place is one of the best fried fish places in the Triangle area. The batter is cornmeal instead of the awful flour batters most NC restaurants use.
