Like the food. My go to Mexican food place. I like the guacamole from this place.

This used to be a favorite of mine now they can’t even get my order right. They have gone down hill from my list of faves.

Sad things change!!! Unfortunately the accuracy and service has gone down hill. The last two times my order was wrong and didn’t realize it tuntil I got home. Went back again and the third time the order was wrong. I called the manager this to express these happenings. He admitted the drive threw person gave me the wrong order and said it was my fault as I said yes that was my order! I was never asked and how do you know if a burrito is wrong until you get home. I asked for a credit and he replied saying I had to bring the order back to replace it. My husband was leaving for work and we didn’t have time to return it. Clearly their mistake and inconveniencing me. The manager made no attempt to rectify the situation. Three times a charm. Goodbye el burrito loco, we will NEVER order from there again!

This location a an abomination to what good and honest, quality Mexican food should taste like. Once I walked in drunk and ordered a beer, taking advantage of my inebriation, I was charged $ 10 for a 12 oz beer. Their meat is awful, steak is tuff, the chicken somehow seems synthetic, and I recently found a hair in my food, I really hope at the least it came from the head on his shoulders and… well we don’t wanna think about that. They are always consistent in disappointing me. I hadn’t been there for a few years. They changed the sight and I thought it must be new owners. Well it was too late to change my mind by the time I found out. DONOTGOTHERE!!!

Great late night burritos after Joliet concert! Haven’t had one of these since the city days. Always a treat! If i’m not mistaken, i think they also have a Unilocal check in special, but be careful, if you hit the redeem button, it starts ticking down from 2 minutes to expiration — and if you’re in the drive through as I was, you may have to snap a screenshot photo before it goes to 000, as I did. Super disappointed with my lunch from earlier this week. I was told the chicken for the tacos was pulled chicken, which I guess it sort of was, but in huge pieces and most was dark meat. Threw out the entire taco. Rice was good but needed more flavoring. Guacamole was ok, chips were decent. The salsa was good. $ 9 for lunch isn’t bad but I just felt it wasn’t worth it. Went through the drive-thru and went back to work so maybe it’s different if you eat inside.

Would not go anywhere else to get Mexican food! Not only is the food awesome here but service is always fantastic and they are open very late! Everything always tastes fresh, and I am never let down!

Do not frequent. They will charge Americans more than Hispanics. Very predgidous manager. Feel bad for staff who clearly feel uncomfortable watching him do this. This business should be closed for these practices. Do not go here. Many other good businesses to choose from that are upstanding.

I’ve been coming to this place for years and it’s awesome authentic Mexican food. Everything is good… burritos, chimichangas, Nachos Locos, quesadillas… they also serve Mexican beer. Nothing like good food with good beer!

Probably the best burrito iv been too, I wish I would live a lot closer to it. As I walked in I was immediately greeted by thee employees, I’m looking at all the reviews and I have never found anything wrong with my food, and I have been there countless of times! have tried almost everything on the menu and everything is great. Actually I might go get me some tacos de asada right now.

No frills but consistently good. Their guacamole is good if you like it on the creamier side. I have to add lime juice to it to get to to taste how I prefer but it’s good quality. I’ve only had their burritos, but their veggie burrito stuffed with Mexican potatoes tastes great whether you’re nursing a hangover or you want something fast and easy for dinner.

El burrito loco has always been a great spot for me. I used to frequent the location in Chicago heights and always loved it there. Naturally, when I found this location and I read the reviews I was a bit apprehensive on going but was pleasantly surprised with how fast the food was served and the customer service was great as well. Food was great as usual. I’ll definitely be returning.

I used to go there regularly. The food tasted great. But one day I found not one piece of hair but several pieces of hair in my carne asada. It tastes gross too. I honestly believe someone may have dropped the meat on the floor, picked it up, and continued to cook it anyway. Either way, I haven’t been there since and never will go there again. There’s no point in even addressing it with management. One hair is a mistake, two hairs is something else. I’m gagging just thinking about it.

Let me start off by saying I really do enjoy the food here. With that said, I simply cannot tolerate hair in my food! I ordered a burrito and a pound of carne asada, the food usually taste great, but today everything went wrong. My burrito was kind of dry, but I was able to smother it in sauce and not think about it. The problem came with the pound of carne asada. Me and my girlfriend were sharing it and it was horribly dry and tasted old. On top of that, my girlfriend complained about hair in the food. I assumed it was her own hair getting in the way until I got a strand stuck in my throat; it definitely wasn’t hers. It was a horrifying experience. If it was only one strand, I would’ve pretended like it never happened, but multiple strands of hair is unacceptable. I haven’t been back since and have yet to find a replacement.

I have been here many times for dinner and breakfast. I will begin with breakfast: They do not open until 9 which is rather late for a place that is serving breakfast and they are not the most enthusiastic about taking your orders and I have had the experience of sitting at the drive through speaker with no one taking my order when I know they are open. On the plus side, the food was amazing! I did not know re fried beans could be so good. Dinner: Pretty standard Mexican food. Tasty and my orders are usually correct. They are again, not super speedy but I know they are doing the food made to order so it has always been fresh.

Besides Los camales this is the best Mexican food in Joliet /crest hill area. I usually get chile quile con queso, or giant burritos. it’s great everytime even better when I’m hammered drunk. Lol thank you el burrito

Why does it take a ½ an hour to get 3 tacos and a bowl of soup through the freaking drive through?!

Our go-to place for good, cheap Mexican food! They have a good variety of Mexican favorites — for both American and Mexican tastes. Very generous portions. Our favorites are the sopes, gordita rajas con queso(good vegetarian option), chicken flautas, the mexican potatoes(spicy) and the tacos. The guacamole is pretty good but a bit heavy on the onions for my taste. I like both the salsa verde and the salsa roja that they provide complimentary. You can eat inside or get take out from the drive through. The have a cooler of beers and Mexican sodas as well as horchata I have always had good service here, especially from the manager. Gracias!

I whizzed by this Burrito Loco while shopping in the area, it’s somewhat easy to miss if you’re speeding and not really paying attention. A few maneuvers and turnarounds later, I arrived — and they have a drive-thru! I fell in love, only to have my heartbroken… Expect a wait in the drive-thru. It isn’t agonizing, it’s about the same wait as if you were inside. So just deal, OK? Make a phone call or do some sudoku, whatever you gotta do. The chimichanga suiza with chicken and the chips and guacamole are my favorite dishes from Burrito Loco. The girl behind the window almost handed me the wrong order — I could tell just by looking at it through the window that there was an XXXL horchata in her hand. She gave me the correct bag and I was on my way. My heart started falling to pieces when I got home. They screwed up my order! This is unacceptable to me when I go to a drive-thru, because unlike a sit down restaurant, you can’t change it. I cut into my chimichanga, and, was that steak? Yes, it was. And it wasn’t very good. I ate ¼ of it and tossed the rest. The guacamole is not up to par with other Burrito Loco locations. It had absolutely zero flavor — cilantro? lime? onion? Nope. No seasoning whatsoever. The chips need salt. They were hard and tasteless. My stomach began to hurt after I ate. Half an hour later, I still felt sick. It could be conicidence, but I was already thinking«one star» before my stomach turned. I’ll go back to the Naperville or Bolingbrook locations for fresh food and an accurate order. There’s better Mexican in Joliet — La Mex and Señor Tequila to name a few.
