Unique experience and delicious food. I recommend this to anyone. Three courses served family style, they choose the menu. Fun to try a few new things, but mostly comfort food that we loved. Can’t go wrong with fried chicken and unlimited mashed potatoes.

Best use of a yard bird. Family style with amaze ball sides, pickled pears and tomato chutney over cottage cheese. Real mashed potatoes. Like my Aunt Betty made every Sunday. This is the real deal.

Slogars is set up right in downtown CB in an old family home. Real cozy and it has several old family pictures around the restaurant/house. The food is served family style. They start with cinnamon pears, pickles, carrots, celery, coleslaw, and cottage cheese, From there they bring out the famous pan cooked fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and the rolls. Then they bring out a scoop of ice cream and chocolate drizzle syrup. I can’t speak highly enough about the quality of the food and the service!!!

I am no expert but I have eaten here a couple of times and recommend this highly if you are visiting Crested Butte. Here is the story: family style fried chicken served with mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits… the works. Everything is amazing! The cost is about what it should be at about 18 to 20 bucks per person with drink, dinner and desert. This is what you would spend anywhere else in town. Here you get refills on the food so to me this is a no brainer! Great food!

The best fried chicken in Colorado by a long shot! And it’s so easy to eat here. Just show up, order chicken(or steak if you don’t like fried chicken which is weird), and enjoy the multi course, family style spread that is brought out. Great cole slaw and some other starters, awesome biscuits with jam, chicken of course, and ice cream. A perfect meal after a day outside.
