Bamboo Sushi Bar & Hibachi

How was the Bamboo in Crestview ?? HORRIBLE! Went here tonight for my sons 15^th birthday. Absolutely terrible!!! We had never been here b4 we explained that, no idea what to expect. Will never go again ! My husband the king kong large plate not the rolls was told 30 mins or more running behind and they were packed okay no worries. Our son ordered rainbow rolls and our daughter ordered the bacon tuna rolls. I ordered the salmon rice plate was told that took and 15 min. Seated about 10 mins Husband order comes out, I am thinking wow that was a lot faster than they said and one other plate came out waitress had no clue as she was new, say bacon tuna… okay so we are waiting on mine and my sons… 1 hour and 30 minutes later and after stopping and asking several how much longer for ours… my food still has not come neither has my sons… we have stopped several workers asking about our other 2 meals they would say they would check but never did never came to update us on when it may be out … finally I am pretty upset like I said it has been 1 ½ hrs and my husband and daughter have eaten finally we stop another lady (manager) she says it will me another 5 minutes… I see 2 other new sets of customers come in order their food and have it ASAP! I am still waiting on mine and my sons… then the manager says oh that’s the rainbow rolls on the same plate as my daughters??(My daughter did not like Sushi so she did not eat it she tried it but decided not for her) that was brought to us 1 ½ hrs ago the waitress did not tell us it was 2 orders… only that it was bacon tuna rolls, as I said we have never had sushi, never been there explained that my son sat waiting on his food and it was there the entire time… and on the same plate? Um maybe this is normal for there but who the hell wants to eat off a shared plate in a restaurant with their sibling!!!, It was their meals not apps. Finally I am very upset tell them to remove it from my ticket so we can leave … My husband says put it in a go box. I walk out. On his way out manager stops wants to give us a free meal, I would not eat their free meal when I can’t even get one I paid for ! He hands me the box this is fresh cooked piping hot dried out overcooked!!! No thank you! horrible! The cats can have that crap. My son loved his food said it was good, Husbands was amazing Mine was 1 ½ hours late dried and overcooked! Practically begged for my food and it was subpar and arrived after I WALKED OUT THE DOOR.

I’ve never been to a sushi hibachi place with better prices. The staff had huge smiles on their faces the entire time too. We will visit every time we pass for now on.

By far the best restaurant in Crestview. A weekly spot for me and friends as well asa great spot for the family. The sushi is out of this world, my favorite is the crispy California roll while my husband’s favorite is the spider roll. The prices are fair and the atmosphere is delightful. Definitely five star for me!

We love eating here, the service and food are the best. I had shrimp and rice and it was superb. I would recommend this restaurant to everybody.

First sushi place I went to… now it’s an addiction. I love their specialty rolls and service is great. I would avoid it on Sundays til after 2pm since it gets very crowded with the after church peeps.

We we heard a lot of people talk about this restaurant and they were not wrong the sushi was delicious and the atmosphere was different than any other sushi restaurant I’ve been to but it was fun

I had the Panko Chicken with double fried rice. The food was good. My wife had the yellow tail fish with white rice. She stated that she really enjoyed it and it was only $ 5. We had to wait more then 20 minutes for our food. Only reason for the 4 stars. I forgot to take pictures.

This is not the best sushi on the emerald coast, but you will certainly enjoy your experience. Go for the sushi. The hibachi really feels like an after thought. It is tasty, but there is nothing at all remarkable about the preparation or presentation of the hibachi. The atmosphere is very relaxed and informal. You get your own drinks, order on your own, etc.

Stopped off for dinner while enroute to Tallahassee from New Orleans on a Sunday evening an hour before they closed and there were a several customers inside. The staff were friendly and welcoming even to people arriving after we did. I hate it when you arrive at a restaurant to eat and you feel like they wish you hadn’t come in because they want to get off early. The miso soup was great but not hot enough for me. Goyoza were crispy and flavourful. We both had the regular size fillet mignon hichiban entre which was awesome, cooked med rare as we requested. The regular portion is very genourous. I would have preferred more variety in the vegetables but I guess the range changes. I’d check first of you’re fussy like me. We sat at the counter to eat and watched the Chef prepare sushi which looked and I’m sure would have tasted great too. Definitely recommend this place.

The selection is great, but the quality wasn’t. It was more mediocre. Sometimes, my rolls would fall apart or there isn’t enough rice for the nigiri. The way you order is like a fast food restaurant. I guess I’m just more authentic Japanese dining.

Between the food and the crew at the sushi bar, it doesn’t get much better for me.
I can recommend the Panko fried chicken plates and the yaki soba noodles as well for general food. For sushi, you can’t go wrong, my favorite being the Sasquatch. All the rolls are made fresh to order. Don’t see something you like? Tell the crew what you want in a roll and they’ll make it happen.

If you are familiar with authentic Yaki Soba… then you will not be disappointed. The staff is always very nice. During peek meal times be prepared to wait as this place is no secret to the locals.

This is our Saturday ritual! We love Bamboo! Sushi is amazing, hibachi is great! Try the lemon pepper tuna appetizer. And the King Kong if you are sharing!

Ate here for lunch on a Saturday. Ordered the Scallops Nigiri, the Sunset Roll, and a Spicy Salmon roll. Great sushi, and nice atmosphere.
Unfortunately, I didn’t know there was a line to order my food, before I sat down. There was a group of 6 of us, and we wasted a lot of time because the ordering process was unclear.

Food here is good! It isn’t your hibachi style table with show, you sit down, take your menu to a cashier to order, and they bring your food to you.
The fried rice is a bit odd, we ordered chicken fried rice and it came deconstructed with the chicken off to the side and drizzled with teriyaki sauce. It was still good, I just wanted the next newbie to be aware!
The sushi was amazing and I’ll be back for sure. The hibachi was just okay, so maybe we’ll skip on that next time.

Bamboo is close to my house, has a nice beer selection, and delicious sushi.
As a new customer, it would have been nice to know about the ordering system, instead of waiting for 30 minutes to be seated while other customers came in, picked up their pre-​ordered food, and took an open table.

Bamboo is in a new location in the same strip mall. We stop here on out drives down to Ft. Myers. New location and much better ambiance with good specials! Had the shrimp hibachi with fried rice, and it was fabulous!!!

Imagine my surprise when I discovered this small sushi restaurant in a strip mall in the little town of Crestview Florida. OMG. SO GOOD. Some of the best sushi I have ever had.
