I decided to go with the Framily Plan from Sprint. Despite my terrible experience last time, I figured I’d come back here and see if I could maybe get a better sales rep. Nope. I walk in and it begins. There’s a crowd of people and a sales rep says«Someone will be with you shortly.» 20 minutes later, I see another sales rep taking names and putting them into a computer which is feeding a screen that reads«Next Customers.» I ask the girl if she was supposed to put me on the waiting list. Her reply, «Yeah, but I don’t have access to that. Only the manager does.» I complain and she takes me right away. This girl knows nothing, so she lies to me. When I question her, she turns it around and asks, «Oh, wasn’t the Framily plan explained to you?» I wanted to punch her in the face by the time I left. My wife was with me and just wanted to get it all done, so we finally get everything going and this girl(a large chested African American woman with a «who gives a crap» attitude) tries to sneak in a $ 10 per month insurance plan even though I told her I was going to get AppleCare. She tells me the insurance is mandatory. It isn’t. I know this for a fact. I did my homework before coming here. She then makes a mistake on my address and can’t figure out how to go back and change it, so she actually says, «Just call customer service when you get your first bill and they’ll fix it.» How the hell am I supposed to get a bill when you put in the wrong address, you boob?! Then we ask her about the $ 650 promotion and she argues with us that it’s not a thing. I’ve been seeing it on TV for 3 weeks. It’s the front page of the Sprint website! She goes to ask her manager. Her manager tells us to call customer service because she doesn’t know. The freaking manager doesn’t even know about the nationwide promotion they’re doing for switching to the Framily Plan? Who hired these people? Did they ever receive training? They just make things up as they go along and if you argue, they either turn it around on you or tell you to call customer service. I’ve dealt with 3 people from this store and they’re all morons. I don’t know if they’ve got extra chromosomes, they’re missing some chromosomes, they’ve have traumatic brain injuries, or they were just born stupid, but no one at this store should be working at this store. If Sprint ever came to audit this place, they’d fire everyone within the first 10 minutes. And anyone who gives this place a five star rating is either a shill, a lunatic, or a moron who only feels happy because they got lied to and ate up every pile of crap they spoon fed to him. Stay away from this Corporate Sprint store. I went to the Chicago Ridge location, talked to a burly black guy named Okorie, and I was extremely happy. In Crestwood, you get nothing but headaches and lies.

Is there a negative star button! The customer service associates will lie to you in order for you to sign a new contract. My husband and I had a family plan with 1500 mins, unlimited text messages, and unlimited data. The sales associate told us that we could get a similar plan to the one we had now the only difference was that it had unlimited talk mins, which at the time we only had 1500 but that was enough for us. We never went over. Anyway she convinced me when she said we could upgrade to new phones if we changed our plan. I didn’t see a downfall. We could both get new phones and there was No way we could go over on our bill for about the same price each month. It seemed to good to be true, and it was. A few days later I just so happened to look at my bill and I was being charged for my date usage when it was supposed to be unlimited. I called the customer service number and they said that our new plan didn’t include unlimited data. How is that possible when the associate assured me multiple times that the plan we chose was unlimited otherwise there was No point in changing plans. Anyway now we pay an extra $ 20 a month for unlimited data. Two months later I get a bill for over $ 400. I was outraged. The most our bill has ever been is $ 200. Why did it double? They said it was an activation fee. That should have all been taken care of at the store or at the least the first months bill.

So I lost my six year old Samsung clamshell phone and was forced to get a new one. I went for the newest thing out there and got a HTCEVO, which is offfered only by Sprint. Its Android and has features up the wazoo. The only negative is that its surprisingly not GMS compatible so it won’t work out of the country. Also, the battery life is less than optimal but its a tradeoff I can live with for the other cool features. Sprint is like the ugly stepchild of phone carriers but so far I am happy. Sprint’s plans are refreshing — they include unlimited web and text in one price. Plus I get free nights, free weekends and free cell-to-cell. My sales person was Michelle. She was great and seemed more knowledgeable(and straightforward) than some of the other Sprint people I’ve encountered. Update: The phone works nicely, no dropped calls and no surprises on my bills.
