Salon Prive

I wouldn’t go anywhere else! The worker/​owner, Xavier, and staff, Jana, Laurie, Lucy, Mike, and Daniella have all been exceptionally, ultra– professionally trained. New York is a favorite place they go for continued runway training with some of the «Best of the Best!» It’s always an exciting weekend for them. I’ve been «following» them for at least 20 years and «it only gets better.» My signature comment to Jana after a session with her is «I“M BACK! She creates and re-​creates me every time! Guys and Gals.

I have been going to this salon for about 3 years and love it. It’s not overly posh, but classy and trendy. Jana does my hair and she always takes time to ask if I want to do something «new» or keep it the same way as I liked the last time. Most of the time I prefer to let her be creative as I know that she attend hair shows regularly to continue learning and keeps up with all of the latest! It’s great to have a hair stylist you can count on. Also, the salon has a very friendly staff, all very down to earth. I highly recommend Salon Prive.

I am a horrible person who cannot commit to a hair stylist. I bounce between 2 – 3 salons and visit new ones on occasion. I decided to try Prive after driving by it for months. I had a really great experience here! I loved that they were open late so I could set an appointment after work. My appointment started on time, the salon was clean and fun, and I’ve gotten lots of compliments on my hair. Price wise I think I paid $ 60 or so for a cut and blow dry. Not bad! I’d definitely add this place to my roation of salons. My only complaint is the parking; it is a very small, tight lot. I visit other stores in this strip mall and usually end up parking in the back.

My Wife and I have been going to Salon Prive for over 3 years. Every time the experience is great! Xavier, Lucy, and the rest of the team are experts in their field and have always treated us like family! Keep up the Great Work Xavier and Team!

I usually go to another salon but my hair stylist flaked out on me last second, so on a whim I called up Salon Prive to see if anyone was available for a color. This was at 6:30pm and the other random salons close to me had already said they were full, and I had to get my hair done since I am leaving town tomorrow for a month.
Next thing I know, the receptionist tells me someone is available and can take me right away! ! I get there and I liked it as soon as I stepped through the door. Everyone was friendly and my stylist, Michael, was already waiting for me. The salon feels like a spa, with white walls/​furniture and plants, but it also has a hip industrial look to it.
All I got done was my hair color changed from ombré to my original color, but Michael did an excellent job with making it match perfectly. He left my roots/​top half of my natural hair untouched (by my request) so I could truly see that it was perfect match. He was easy to talk to and made the experience a great one.
Give this salon a shot and make sure to see Michael!

Haircut by Rachel. She is relatively new. She was very sweet and professional. The salon is clean and nice, and everyone was welcoming
The haircut I received, though, was really below standard.
I asked for blended layers and got very chunky even layers — not really the professional cut I was hoping for. For the price of this salon, I would hope for a little better cut.

I tried this salon for the first time last night and was very impressed. I thought at first it might be cold and pretentious but not al all. The salon is high end but the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. I loved my stylist Lucy and she did an excellent job on my cut and color. I willl be back for sure!!!

A day at the salon should be a pampered, relaxing experience. When I think of the possibilty of cutting my hair or contemplating a new color, it brings out the anxiety bear in me. Thank goodness for Salon Prive. When you first walk in you are greeted by someone is genuinely interested in assisting you and not on the phone smacking gum. The lounge area is comfortable with plenty of style magazines to get the wheels turning on a new style or color.
Once you get to the stylist chair, the consultation is more than what the stylist wants to do but more about you, your lifestyle, hair condition and suggestions on what is most appropriate for the visit. When you see someone with fried hair and they actually go to a salon, you know they have NOT been to Salon Prive.
My hair was so damaged by another «professional» in the industry by the time I visited Xavier that I thought I would have to live with being bald or damn near it. Xavier through proper consuling and amazing product knowledge has brought my hair and my sanity back to life. My hair is finally able to be colored. Xavier suggests a demi or temporary color from Paul Mitchell so I will be back in the next few weeks to go expresso brown. Yeah! Love Salon Prive. I live in SoCo and it is worth the drive to Creve Coeur.
