Salon Down Under

Unfortunately, I did not end up receiving any services from this salon.
I showed up 5 minutes before my appointment and was told that there were two clients ahead of me. 15 minutes later, she finished with the first client and then told me she would put some color on her next client and then cut my hair. Had I waited until she was ready, I would’ve finally sat in the chair 20 – 30 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start.
However, I never got to her chair. As soon as she started her 2^nd client, she and her client began to talk about something completely inappropriate and the owner made comments that have no business being said around clients, particularly a new client she had never met. I was so shocked at what I was hearing, I told her I would be leaving and went to another salon.
I have no doubt that Kay is a fantastic hairdresser, but between having to wait upwards of a half an hour for my appointment and having to sit and listen to inappropriate comments from her, I am unwilling to give her my business.

Kay is amazing with color. I went in tonight with yellow brassy hair and she transformed it completely. I am so happy. In addition to color I asked for a very much needed trim and she did exactly what I requested. She even made a few suggestions that I completely agreed with. The facility was quaint and clean. Kay has a wonderful personality and it was a pleasure talking with her. She made a few product recommendations but didn’t push them on me which was a relief. I needed a late appt because of work and I told her I was leaving Fri for a weekend trip to NY and she got me in the same day. She stayed with me until 9:30p. If that isn’t customer service then I don’t know what is. I was a new client and she made the special exception for me. I will definitely be going back. I am happy with the service and pricing.
