My experience at Baci has been hit or miss so my review is in the middle of the road. This most recent trip to Baci was for a Girl Scout Leader Meeting and was one of the better experiences I’ve had here. We had a group of 9 on a Thursday night which they were able to easily accommodate. I ordered the«Baci Waldorf» salad which included: candied walnuts, crumbled gorgonzola, red onion, dried cranberries, baby spinach, and sherry wine vinaigrette. I added some salmon to it and it was absolutely delicious! Our service was great and I’ll be back! You can check out their website at:

I wish I could eat here every day! The multitude of items on their menu is just the beginning. No matter what I order, and I always try to order something different each time, it is delicious!!! Marc, the head chef, is one of the best chefs I have had the honor of ordering from. His expertise must have also rubbed off on his assistant chef, Ashley with the blonde hair, because whenever I go in the afternoon she is the one to make my meal and she never disappoints. Apart from the delicious food, the wait staff if sooo charming and charismatic that I seriously cannot stay away! If you want to have the best meal in central ct, whether its an entrée, salad, sandwich or just an appetizer, GOHERE!

We attended a seminar here April 26, 2016 in the evening. Once again we experienced a restaurant where the food was OK(not outstanding but good) and the service was abysmal. The waitress couldn’t keep track of orders and gave my steak to another customer. I had to wait 45 minutes for my meal! The man she gave my meal to sent his meal back and instead of giving me my meal she gave it to him and made me wait. The guy was rude and disrespectful to take my meal but the full responsibility for what happened lies with the waitress. She should have given me my meal and made the guy who refused his meal wait. I ordered my steak medium well and when I finally received my meal it was well done. I mean charred black, couldn’t cut it, well done. The 2nd attempt resulted in me receiving a rare steak. It was getting too late for a 3rd attempt so I ate the edges and we left. The funny part is the steak the waitress gave to the man who sent his meal back was a perfect medium well!!! Food isn’t good enough to endure terrible service.

I never knew of this place until I saw an ad for their Easter buffet. I liked the fact that the buffet items were very diverse and included both breakfast and dinner items. I wanted a reservation for 1:30, but I was told there were no tables available until 3p. I was concerned about the food quality and availability at that hour, but made the reservation anyway. I needn’t have worried as there was plenty of fresh food at the buffet in spite of the hour and in spite of the fact that most of the restaurant and banquet rooms were full of people. I was surprised by the size of the restaurant since it looks smaller from the outside. The buffet selections were much more than I expected. A wide selection of breads, fruit, salads, meats, desserts were available. I sampled most of the entrees and everything was delicious. The price was $ 29.95 per person which was very reasonable considering you could get seconds and thirds, etc. The wait staff was excellent and very attentive in bringing drinks and anything else we needed. I was surprised that an 18% gratuity was added to the bill even though there was only 2 of us. I’m not sure it was appropriate to assume that everyone wants to give that much to someone who is only taking drink orders. Some of the Unilocal reviews are mixed regarding items off the regular menu. I don’t know if I will return for a regular meal, but I will not hesitate returning for one of their buffets.

Pretty good food. Big bar. This is a solid choice for a quick italian meal or a drink.

I had my baby shower here. I was highly impressed with the event planning staff. We mostly worked with Erin the catering manager. She was extremely nice and highly organized. The day of the event she was very attentive and assisted us with decorations. The food was excellent and perfectly timed to allow time for events during the shower. I was extremely impressed at the banquet staff and didn’t run into a single issue. Baci grill is a wonderful place to have an event. I found their prices great and the value was good.

Just, well, no. Perhaps I’m just getting crankier about the fact that every time I think«yeah, let’s not cook, let’s go out to eat!» I consider Baci because I have fond memories of really great dining experiences. Then we go to Baci, I leave ready to swig down two gallons of water from the salt level in every dish and with that«meh» post dinner feeling.

Ive been to Baci Grill a few times now and it’s always been just OK. However, the other day I went and had probably the worst service I have ever had by the bartender, Melissa. Sitting in an empty bar with some friends, Melissa told us to keep our voices down since we were«disturbing» the other patrons. There was only 1 other table with a baby. So I gently apologized to them and they told me they never said anything. To keep things easy we agreed to simply sit outside. Melissa then came out to get our drink order and spoke to us with a very condescending attitude. She asked that we no longer smoke on the patio when food is being served. Again, one other table was with out and they weren’t even eating! We asked that table if we were bothering them, again they said no. I then commented on how Melissa was being so rude to people who were actually paying a decent sized bill considering the lack of customers. She heard this and promptly came back saying she would no longer serve our drinks. I decided to speak with Melissa about this inside and questioned why she seemed so annoyed by us and frankly was accusing us of «bad» behaviors we in no way felt we were doing. I also said how unprofessional it was for her to use the excuse of other customers complaining when she was caught to be lying. Lying to the customer in order to prove her own point! I told her the attitude was uncalled for considering how much we were spending at the establishment. A true professional would simply ask for someone else to wait on the customer if they had an issue with them. Not be rude. Well, Melissa did not like this at all. 10 minutes later she stormed back outside and asked us to leave. Claimed we again were disturbing the other customers. Yup, 3 women were disturbing the ONE other patron who we personally talked to and were told we were fine. I asked for her name and her managers name; which Melissa then replied was aware that all of this happening. So to me, then the manager should speak to us and not have a nasty girl represent their restaurant or she was lying again. Either way, nice place but Melissa has made it so I will no longer recommend Baci Grill. That and because of her Baci has my bad review on their Unilocal page. I hope someone speaks to her about how to act mature and professional around customers.

Great place. We showed up with 9 people without giving notice(I know, we suck). They got us a table quickly and we felt taken care of immediately. There was another large party next to us(this was on a Wednesday) and they still had enough staff to manage both large parties. The manager even came out to deliver food. The menu is very large with lots of things that will make your mouth water. Usually when a restaurant has a lot of choices I find the food lacking in quality however this was not the case. I ordered the Veal Parmesan(it was enough for 2 people easily) and my fiancé ordered the Ahi Tuna with Wasabi Mashed Potatoes. They were both excellent. The prices seemed high at first but for how much food you are getting I would say its a bargain. We all sat on the patio and it felt very comfortable, this place doesn’t look that appealing from the road but the patio area was next to a wildlife preservation zone and it felt secluded even though we were steps away from a busy road. I can definitely see myself coming back here. There is so much more menu to explore.

This afternoon I enjoyed the Waldorf salad, and decided I would try adding the tuna as my protein. The salad itself was fun and refreshing; the ratios of the ingredients perfectly in balance with one another. Full disclosure — I had them hold the onions, just not a fan. Also, I had the dressing served on the side so that I could have a little more control. The tuna was a little disappointing, I had asked for it to be seared and it came out a little overcooked. To be fair, they did list it as grilled on the menu. All in all very tasty, and they were quick with the service which is very important when you’re taking lunch in the middle of the work day. I would definitely go back.

Found this place by accident and was a little scared by the lack of cars in the parking lot and patrons in the establishment. Sat promptly at the bar and greeted by Melissa(who was continuously courteous and polite). Drink came quick and lunch was right behind it. The warm goat cheese salad was beyond expectation. The walnut encrusted goat cheese was original and the hints of fennel and the perfect amount of dressing made it a 10 out of 10 salad. The addition of the homemeade chicken sausage added to the delightful taste explosion. This should be on your list if you travel within a 50 mile radius.

I had a Baci Greek salad. It was ok but a little bit pricey. I thought bread should come with it. Service should’ be better for the prices. It’s not the best Italian restaurant in this area.

I love this place for happy hour! I don’t want to reveal details about it because I like that it’s somewhat of a hidden HH gem. Inside ambiance is just okay. I can’t pinpoint why, but I’m not a huge fan of this place for dinner, or anything besides its’ happy hour. The outside patio seating is a nice addition. Specialty drinks this summer were on point, offering organic choices. Nice touch! Averaging together my love for happy hour here, and disappointment in dinner, I’d have to give this place a rating of 3⁄5.

I stopped in while staying at the courtyard across the street. First off, this is a much better option than the chili’s next door. The food good. My pasta was a little soggy for my likes but it was tasty. The bread they served before the meal was fantastic. I thought the price was a little high but probably comparable with the rest of central CT. Overall I was very happy with my meal.

1.) What your eyes may see: I believe this place underwent renovation. Newly painted walls, frames, and seats and tables. Everything looks clean. Nice to see they have a banquet hall attached to it. The bar is wrap around. 2.) Food: I ordered the Ravioli Funghi. I dislike the name, but it makes sense — mushrooms. I thought it was pretty good, perhaps a tad bit lacking in Italian flavor but nevertheless enjoyable. They put loads of mushrooms in there making it a very«mushroomy» dish with a decent amount of green ravioli. Also ordered was the ravioli with cheese with meat sauce. That was my favorite out of both. The bread basket was yummy — moist, warm, flavorful with parmesan. 3.) Staff: They were okay — smiled, relatively attentive, but most of all pretty. It seemed, at least at the time I went there were mainly female staff. Now pretty doesn’t come part of the rating, but the genuineness of their demeanor does. 4.) Impressions: I want to come back to try the rest of their dishes.

Anytime we go there the food is EXCELLENT! Atmosphere, presentation, staff and the price. Sitting next to a fire place and listening to a live band… evening with great company.

We went to Baci Grill for New Years Eve for the second year in row. Great deal… for $ 67 per person, they offer a 5 hour party, appetizers, buffet dinner, dessert, open bar for the whole night, champagne toast at midnight, and dancing. They had a DJ this year that was much better than the band they had last year. The DJ also had a TV set up so we could watch the ball drop at midnight, and had a photo booth, which was a lot of fun. That was a nice addition this year. The food was good. Appetizer table with veggies and dip, ahi tuna crostini, arancini, and some spinach phyllo thing. Passed appetizers included stuffed mushrooms(2 types, spinach stuffing and sausage stuffing), chicken satay skewers, and spring rolls that came with a yummy spicy sauce. The buffet had so much food, and we were so full from appetizers! Salad, bread, seafood stuffed sole, apple and fig stuffed chicken, eggplant tower, sautéed veggies, roasted potatoes and a carving station with prime rib with a horseradish sauce. The chicken was my favorite. I’m going to have to see if it’s on their regular dinner menu, because I would go back just for that! The dessert spread was good, mini cannolis and other mini pastries, chocolate dipped strawberries and other items. My husband and I went together and we were seated with 6 other people at a table. The people were really nice and we had a great time all night, drinking, talking and dancing. The staff brought out huge boxes of beads, hats, noisemakers, etc before midnight and handed out glasses of champagne. Everything was well thought out and timely. Overall, it was a fun night and I would definitely recommend trying out Baci Grill for New Years or any other event they may have. We don’t go that often for dinner, but we go to Tuscany Grill in Middletown(their sister restaurant) often, it’s one of our favorites, and a little closer to home.

I ordered Veal Lemone which is veal, breaded and sautéed with lemon, butter and white wine. It came with a tomato basil risotto and broccoli florets. Big plate of veal cutlets and very tender. Good flavors! Risotto was done right and tasty. My wife ordered the Grilled Salmon brushed with a peach and hoisin glaze over mushroom risotto, garnished with grilled asparagus. She said it was very good.
