This is by far the best coffee shop in the area. They serve intelligentsia and have amazing drinks. Love the atmosphere right on the crown point square. They’ll soon be serving food too!

Love!!! Lil and I went in for the first time a month and a half ago… I had happened to be stopped at the red light days before and saw the front window advertising crepes on the weekend. Lil loves crepes– seemed the perfect time to try. Twice a week, without fail– I have been back for the Nutella Latte. Sometimes iced, sometimes hot (both are delicious!) and taken a pastry a time or two. The service is exceptional! Tips are donated to a local charity and they are a very giving company! So– run down:
1: Local= good
2: good coffee= awake human= good
3: great customer service= you should try!

Nutella latte is what dreams are made of in coffee. They treat everybody so nice and gave my daughter a free sprinkle donut which is the key to her heart. What a great place to have in Crown Point.

Best coffee around Crown Point. They take it seriously, and it shows.
Nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Great place to spend time with family/​friends, or to get some work done.

Perfect little place to go after dinner on the square. Everything was clean and welcoming and the two workers couldn’t have been any more kind. Support local businesses!

I am a fan of local business, but I hate compromising quality to buy local. I tried several different coffee shops before finding Café Fresco. I was pleasantly surprised that they serve Intelligentsia, and the drinks are consistently good. Starbucks is no longer my daily stop, and I may lose my gold card status soon… Matt, Breanne, and the other girls are great, and I am happy this is a daily stop now!

The coffee is very good which is why I have three stars. The lack of a five star rating comes from the enviroment. The whole time I was there trying to work, the owner was hanging out with what appeared to be friends. They talking across the place and talking loud on the phone. They all ordered lunch and were sitting there waiting together. My bf and I were the only ones in there that were not part of this group and it felt very awkward. We felt as if we were in someone’s home and were not welcome. Many people go to coffee shops to work and do hw and the enviroment is really important. Unfortunately we felt compelled to leave and go to Starbucks. We will not be back unless we get the coffee to go.

I saw the «Intelligenstia Coffee» sign on the window today and decided to stop in to give this place a try. The girl working there was so friendly. We had some nice conversation as I watched her make my cup of Ethiopian Intelligenstia coffee using a ceramic Hario coffee dripper. Of course the beans were ground immediately before too. The coffee was fantastic. Got my wife a bubble tea while there too, which she loved. Cute/​cozy place to grab a nice coffee or tea and have a pastry on the Crown Point square. I’m a fan and will be back. They sell Intelligenstia beans too (about $ 15 for a 12 oz bag) which are sort of difficult to find here in NW Indiana.
